Unlikely to be CB/27MHz by the looks of those impressive twigs. Agree that a lot of it is HF. My guesses are a (i) a species of VHF Co-linear (?), (ii) a quarter-wave of some sort (?) (iii) an HF Quad maybe on a rotator and (iv) a multi-band Discone. That lot put my G5RV to shame! The canal will give an excellent ground-plane earth. Proper kit. CW G2DVP

Ha ha ha yabba dabba doo. I didn't want to stay on the Severn at that time of year. My mate who was a couple of days behind me got caught in the rains and the river went up by 3-4 feet over night. He said it was scary so I'm glad I got off it when I did. Thanks for your comment. Made me laugh.
@@NarrowboatWill Great stuff. I was in Shrewsbury earlier this year and saw the leftovers of the previous flooding, so I get that. We have a boat on the Coventry which we intend to live on when we return from HK later this year. We’d love to live in Shrewsbury, have you been? However, as I’m sure you know, living and mooring on rivers seems to be another thing entirely. There is talk of a canal into Shrewsbury but I’ve heard it’s years away from completion. @@NarrowboatWill Know what you mean, Will. Places change. Demographics can differ quite dramatically. People move on. I suppose one can make a similar comparison with supermarkets. For instance, I prefer the Aldi on Woodborough Road in Mapperley because there’s a better class of chav up there compared to the one on Glasshouse Street! Apologies if I have offended any chavs! 😉
Hey Will, great video. We last did Tarbebigge in 1995 and since living by the canal with our EOG on terra firma have never tired of the aspect.
