The Cloud coverage effect by the Mask in your vignette node and the Key Mixer was a legendary tip. Made so much sense and loved seeing it used in practice.
Great masterclass. Thanks for examining and explaining every detail of your colour grading process. Eventually I stopped watching other channels and focusing on your channel only. Good job!
this is absolutely GOLD. thank you Waqas Qazi
You're so welcome
Drinking game: Take a shot everytime Waqaz Qazi says: "Ballpark" or "In that world".
(Love your video's fam)
đ
If you are not a heavy drinker or have work the next day, only drink when he says "split the difference".
always look forward to your videos, Qazi. While I only do quick action cam holiday stuff, I've started using your node tree and parallel keying for my last one. Was nice one of my friends said it looked more professional than previous ones. I'm still getting my head into the different node types and now you've thrown another one in which is so cool. Thanks again for all you do for all us grading dummies. Great work
No dummies here brother. We're all constantly learning it's the best part about our job. Keep pushing yourself
Thank you so generously for sharing these awesome color grading tutorials.
My pleasure!
Spot on, Qazi! I just re-created the whole look. Invaluable tips, thanks so much for posting!!
Of course brother. Glad you enjoyed it.
I love all your videos, and I am so thankful for all the stuff you teach us. You must be a very generous person.
Thank you so much. I just love sharing knowledge with like minded people
As per usual. Crushed it! Keep on!
You know it brother
Amazing , thank you for sharing all this amazing tips with us .
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the Master Class, much appreciated.
Of course brother. Glad you are loving it.
Mann Cant Wait!!!! It would be really cool if you start making these amazing color grading photoshop tutorials!! Great Work
Thank you so much.
it's just freakin out! so different and unmatchable shots by first look but it works! thank you so much, man!
you know it
hey man, love your stuff, been helping me a lot. where do you get your stills from? iâm really starting to implement your style into mine and i would love to apply it to something else and experiment. cheers
Love all your tutorials..
Thank you so much
These tutorials make me feel happy inside
đ me too
Great vid! Have you got any experience working in ACES? Would love to hear your take on it.
Straight to the point! Luv it!
Thank you
Great job ! How do you deal with copying power windows and selections throughout different scenes ?
Love this series đ„
Thank you brother. Me too đ
Awesome, loved it
Thank you! Cheers!
Thats what im really trying to focus on right now
Is being the detective of the scene
Understanding the process and my steps, before I actually get in there and try and create a look
So loving how you break it down
And theres lots of similarities on your vids, obviously, but each one has something slightly different that gives you one more insight or more into the craft of color grading
So many thanks for that
Do you have a video you can point me in the direction of, that talks about the hue vs hue, hue vs sat etc and what they specifically do as I don't really have any clue lol
I read the comments first to make sure people agree that the video is beneficial and not a waste of time. Sounds like it's well worth 34mins of my time.
Smart move đȘđœ
When I drag the Color Palette effect onto my clip it only shows in the little preview image below but not on the big image in the viewer. Does anyone know how I can make it appear in the viewer?
@Waqas Qazi you are amazing!! Just discovered you a while ago and just a few videos of yours = M already a huge fan!! I have a question for u. when I import stills into Davinci the colours become oversaturated. I dont understand how to correct this? I use Davinci color managed profile with wide gamut and for the still I even tried the option to bypass colour management but doesn't seem to work. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers man!!
This was beautiful.
Thank you
I found your channel a couple of days ago and Im learning a lot, the best davinci's tutorials IÂŽve found so far, congrats! it would be nice if you upload the reference image you use of the movies :)
Thank you.
Thank for the work you put in, making my first short film and its been a massive help.
Been picking shots I like from certain films and building a grade.
For the intro loved children of men, so using your methods, done my best to get it in the ball park and happy with the intro. Shot on a Panasonic g7 so can only push it so far but at present I'm loving it.
Used your approach to the joker for inside the house, it's not the joker look but used that a s a reference to get the best shot I could.
Keep it coming I really like your workflow
Music to my ears brother. Love the learn and apply attitude. That's the sauce. Keep pushing, brother.
@@theqazman just watching your vid on the commercial, some damn fine footage there, can see why you like the camera.
I shoud like that you make tutorial about composition en fusion studio 16
These videos are so cool!
Thank you
Just picked up my new pc today. This'll be the first DaVinci test on it đ
Perfect timing
Can you please please provide the footage to use try and match yours I don't have any footage that match the scenes
Cool tips thanks for sharing. Looks like a day on Iceland or up north here in Sweden or something and Im not so sure there are so much done to it colorwize though. It can look like that where I live too so to me it looks like the place and time of the day and the weather they day they shot this clip makes the look more than anything else.
Of course they shot it in the right location and that was my point in the beginning that I will create the impossible. We weren't going for 1 to 1. They are both completely different location and climates but how do you go about matching the two.
man, great great channel, you really got a excellent method!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Juan appreciate the love brother
awesome look u have creater sir....thank u so much...if u show how to achive old movie looks it would be great....đ
Thank you
yeah man!
can we please get the log video so we can follow along?
I wish Adobe Premiere had something similar to the Color Palette tool in Resolve.
Great Channel man! Where do you find the tech specs for what the film makers have used on the production?
iMdb
Every time I'm colour grading, your intro music plays in my head. I be humming it while grading!!! đđ
đđđœ
A really good tutorial mate, I'm picking up a lot, some of the keys you picked I couldn't see, perhaps my eyes, perhaps the youtube compression, perhaps my monitor or possibly the Gin đ. I jest! On a serious note, I would really be grateful for more of this, using low-quality footage and grading the colour against Hollywood graded clips(while keeping the spec info of the original clip so I can learn) My set up is basic as (and judging by the sub count of others commenting their's will be as well) either-or, keep the content coming!
Definitely the gin probably also helped with this beautiful comment. đ I'll keep em coming brother
Can you plz tell me the editing software name
Perfect.
Thank you always! You should have a 1 million sub!
Amen. Soon đđđœ
Hi brother can you share the case in your video
great! can you do a video about your monitor setup / calibration?
Thanks. All that is covered in my masterclass.
can u do atlanta color grade
Come on, somebody... Give this man a medal!
đđđ still waiting
Great job with another awesome video. Can you grade some sony a7 III footage on your next video please. Preferably HLG, or Slog 3.
Watch the one hour grading training. Slog 2 footage under natural lighting
@@theqazman oh I'm checking it out tonight, thanks!
Okay my understanding has become hard ..can you please make a simple tutorial on it..like how to use them and when to use them.. Just a request.
Can you do Korean drama movie kind of look
My man! I guarantee that 25% of the views from any video you do on a Deakins look will be from me revisiting them lol. Double those numbers for the BR2049 look videos when they drop ;) I used your guide on some frames I made of my girlfriend in front of a plum backdrop after watching last week's live Atomic Blonde look dissection and they were really dope with a complimentary RGB split! Thanks for the sick content dude.
Let's go!!! Appreciate your super bright and I'm with you about Deakins. BR is coming soon.
And that's so awesome man. I am glad you're applying what you're picking up right away.
Why Benq and not Eizo? I was thinking of getting an Eizo CG279x!
Is there that much difference between the two?
I would have liked to get an LG C9 Oled but they are too huge for my office.
Incidentally, Waqas, love the Colorist course you put up recently. Lots of good stuff to learn. Youâre very generous with your knowledge.
Thanks.
First off the price. LG is coming out with a 43" OLED in April. First time ever. Wait out.
Keep doing this bruh! Youâve taken my game to the next level and I keep learning with each one!
Please! Do 1917 next!
1917!
Music to my ears brother. It's on the list
Legend!!!
Ayyy
Me at 25:40: Watching back 5 times to see a difference on my Smartphone Screen. I gave up. :D
Your Videos are sooo valuable, thank you!
You're welcome
Awesome video dude. Could you please make a colour grading tutorial of the irishman... That would be insane
Thank you. On the list. đ
@@theqazman Thanks very much
Thanks man.
You're welcome
You know one video that I couldn't quite grasp the color grading is the recent music video by the comedians Cody Ko & Noel Miller (song: broke b**** Artist: TMG). I love the color scheme & would love love LOVE tips on how to accomplish it. Maybe it's just the colors they chose in person and the grade has little to do with it. Would love to hear your take!
Mostly that's what it is for the music videos or even movies color schemes are created on set through lighting and art direction
HEY AM ASKING WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LAYER NODE AND PARALLEL NODE AND ARE THEY FOR THE SAME USE
Layer node to add to and parallel to blend in
Hi Waqas, great amazing tutorials! say, where can I get those movie stills to use as a sample?
thank you
@@theqazman where can I get those movie stills to use as a sample?
Hi, great tutorial! Where can I download the file for training? Cheers.
by signing up for my masterclass. I only have legal rights to share it in a controlled environment.
Thanks for 8bit video!!! It's hard to work with it. But for now I know that it is possible)
Hell yeah
Waqas :Mmm did you got it ,okey
Me:yup
Looking forward to it bro. How's the new computer going? I'm about to build a new hackintosh, nothing like your beast but it will be an upgrade for me. I'm having trouble choosing a monitor though. If you had some suggestions, would love to hear what you think.
BenQ pv or SW series are ideal for color work
@@theqazman Thanks man, is there any preference for PV or SW?
How about Goldfinger!
I would love to see look of The Irishman! đ„
On the list đđœ
Dude you are dope
Thank you brother
I love your videos. Can you show us your own color look instead of copying look? Thank you.
You're missing the point brother. Why don't you give it a try and try to "COPY" One of these looks and let me know how that goes.
Listen to what I say in the beginning of these videos. When you're hired on a job they won't ask you to create some random Joe's look they'll ask you to give them a flight club look, or some commercial look.
I'm trying to show you to think like a colorist to achieve those iconic looks.
Great love you
Love you too
Hi waqas qazi can u make a color grading tutorial for alexa footages
I have watch the "how to color grade a TV commercial" video
Thanks..bro... I have a doubt...
We are planing to make a shortfilm ..and also planing to shoot with arri alexa lf ..what is the best camera settings to consider for color grading..??
Hey Qazi.. i am a great student of you here from Kenya folllowing your tutorials and achieving my looks as i have been dreaming of. but the problem comes here. i try grabing a still to act as my reference point and then boom it doesnt work. PLEASE MAY YOU KINDLY DO A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE STILLS AS YOUR REFERENCE POINT..LIKE HOW TO PUT THEM ON THE STILL GALLERY AND USING THEM AS REFERENCE
Thank you. You right click in the gallery stills and import.
@@theqazman Thank you
It would be sick if you did a series where you grade clips that people send you. Like those âI edit your photosâ series but good đ
Something to think about đ€
@@theqazman I don't know then people might not pay for your service and just copy and paste what you showed them. I think showing the looks like you currently do give us a better idea of the possibilities we can achieve with an image.
Cahlaj The PoetMC I agree
amazing, where you from bro? for a sec i thought you're our local boy
What is that big monitor u are using?
LG b6
Where can I get some log footage to practice??? :(
Go out and shoot đ or download it from camera manufacturer site
Impressive....... Bro...
Can u make a tutorial on Bollywood style colourful romantic movie
Thank you
What can I say? Ingenious! :) Hehe, this was great, I didn't like a power window, they you suddenly say: "Okay, if this power window bothers you then we can draw a custom shape". :D The too much magenta in the sky also bothered me, and finally, you pulled the magenta back. :) Teacher, I feel, I'm picking it up! I can see colors now! Thank you so much! Crazy great content, Qazi! :) (Y)
đ that's awesome. Keep pushing brother đȘđœđđœ
