This is the best color grading channel, I feel that finally IÂŽm undertanding the whole process from scratch. The use of LUTs always had been so confusing to me.
thanks for all Qazi!
Thank you so much, brother. It means a lot.
love the longer length videos; lots to learn about the interaction and pairing of adjustments, such as a balancing light area color with a dark area color; and color harmonies such as your shadow teal (I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out) and the sky yellow/orange. Gives a feel for the artful back and forth of adjustments to find the balance, AFTER you look and see what needs to be done and THEN try to hit the target. Very impressed with your ability to see into the image and visualize the change before you go about dialing it in. Great job. Mike
WOW! What a wonderful comment. Very thorough observation. Love it. Glad you enjoyed it.
Wow, This was incredible!! Waqas is ze ManđđŒ
True inspiration, I canât wait to implement some of this sauce & knowledge in future color grades.
Thank you for the constant Jedi knowledge bombs you deliver constantlyđđŒđ
Thank you so much man. Appreciate your support.

Thank you. Really appreciate it.
Excellent work. I really enjoyed this type of tutorial. I hope you do more of these!
Thank you. I absolutely will. Stay tuned.
Thank you! Great tutorial! It's very interesting to watch your beautiful workflow!
Thank you so much.
I'm a complete beginner about to film the last bits of my own music video, and I will edit it myself. Your videos contain such an insane amount of value, thanks so much!
You're welcome brother. Really appreciate your encouragement.

Excellent work! This is amazing!
Thank you so much.
Wow, great job again, Qazi. Can't say I'm following everything you're doing but the more I watch you, the more that's sinking in.
BTW I do like you're doing these videos in 4K too. Allows my old eyes to better see some of the small changes you do.
Once again, fabulous stuff.
Thank you so much, Martin. Appreciate the love. đ your old eyes. That's hilarious.
Learned so much from this. You easily make the best tutorials for color grading in Resolve.
Thank you so much. Appreciate all the love.
REALLY APPRICIATE THIS TUTORIAL THANKS QAZI :)
Of course. You're welcome.
Have been working on my grading skills recently, going through BMâs own training and these really are taking it to a different level creatively, especially by working on good quality images. I love your restraint and care not to clip yet achieve a super strong look. Binge-watching all of these haha
Love hearing that. And yes, I know there isn't anything like what I'm sharing because people are too caught up with the color science than becoming Colorists.
I am forced to subscribed because of the sheer ease with which you explain stuff, and how much I subconsciously learn watching just one or two videos. Super relevant, and absolutely result oriented video. Great stuff!
That's such a wonderful comment. Thank you so much.
Qazi is getting color grading tutorials to another level!...and i will be here...learning!
đ thank you
WOW! Great! Love to see more landscape and nature!!
Thank you so much. I will do that as well.
For me, this is the best video of your channel. I have learned a lot with look adjustment. Thank you very much!!
Much love bro â€ïž
Keep up the content. Grateful for the shared knowledge.
đȘđœ
AMAZING!!
Really, really great work. I can't be the only person who wants to see some Blade Runner 2049 coloring...But I'd love some Moonlight too!
I have done both of those on my IG @theqazman and will bring them here as well. Love your work and we should collab on something.
Dude, I would love to! Iâll DM you on Instagram.
YouÂŽre a legend Qazi! Thanks man
You're so welcome
I've finished the Masterclass and just rewatching your CZcams videos, man this was one of my favourite grades you've showcased on this channel ! So impressive !
Thank you. One of my fav as well.

It's all good brother. Haters gonna hate. Can't wait to have you in FCM. đȘđŸ

Thank you brother. Let's go!!!
Wonderful Video excellent matching Thank You !!!!
You're very welcome.
Brilliant!
Thank you
Amazingggg!!Like your tuts bruh..
Thanks. Like you too bruh
A brilliant work through.
It does look as if the original sky is a composite. The black cloud there to give a break for the blues. More low level cloud for detail on the right.
A sky replacement would have done you proud but as you say, its about the colour. It certainly is.
you're awesome man!
Thank you. You are awesome for saying that.
I love your channel...great teacher
Thank you! đ
we gonna be crazy thanks to you bro
let's go
best color grading ttul ... love from India
thank you. love you back.
You are Grading Jesus Man!!! I don't know Video editing but I love your style and the way you present!!
đ much love.
First of all, DOOOOPE ass thumbnail!!
Secondly, amazing video as always!! so insightful!
Thank you baby. So much went into this video.
Great video! Could you do a Marriage story, classic 5219 look next?
Looked it up. It's really cool. I will add it to my list.
qazi i love you!
Love you back
Love your channel! So helpful. Iâve just watched IP MAN 2 and IP MAN 3. The colours are beautiful. any possibility to show a grade tutorial in that style in the future ? Thanks.
Love those movies. Already got the new on the list.
dude youre so good with resolve, make it look effortless.
Thank you brother
Nailed the look, loved that one! I was only thinking that if you grab a still of that grade and apply it to other shots you would always have to adjust the power windows for the sky. Could you also key out the sky and add the power windows there so that so you don't have that problem?
Hey I witched last night mad max fury road and thod thad schould be a color tutorial:)
Amazing
that's epic. I would do that too.
I see a lot of comments saying this is one of the best color grading channels on CZcams...sorry...i disagree..why ?? You say....CAUSE THIS 'IS THE BEST" CHANNEL....PERIOD ....No one come close ....all hail the color grading KING đđđđđ
đ your comments are my new fav thing to read here. Keep 'em coming, brother.
This is best !!! Hope to see the night version of Mad Max also. You are gonna do it right? Lots of love and so much to learn.
that's good but I will do Atomic Blonde instead.
Thank you bro for this incredible content you are offering us. Your skill is insane and I am learning lot. But it will be great if only you can provide a google drive link in order to download the videos files so that we can follow along
Thank you. I am limited to sharing these clips only in my masterclass due to an agreement with the parties involved.
Thumbs up sir... very enlightening content
Let's go
Hi, Qazi, as always this was a brilliant tutorial! Would love to see you tackle a look from one of David Fincher's films. Perhaps something from Gone Girl or Zodiac. Fincher's movies are always amazing to watch from a color perspective, especially how dark and shadowy they are able to get some of the scenes. Thanks again!
Thank you, brother. David Fincher is the reason why I am in this field. He inspired me to be a filmmaker. I will absolutely attack one of his looks.
@@theqazman Awesome, looking forward to it!
I really love this and I used it for a music video I just edited
That is exciting. I love hearing that. You learned and applied. My fav and go to tectic.
YOU ARE FREAKING AWESOME !!! I learned a lot from your tutorials. Would love to see a look similar to The Double Life of Veronique, that soft, diffused glow of highlight with a nice film texture. Thanks man :D :)
Thanks. I will check it out.
Really awesome...
thank you
@@theqazman â€
by the way, Qazi's channel is the only one that I'd love to spend most of the time on now
Let's go!
Love your chanel and this video. Could you please make a tuto about Wes Anderson Look?
Thank you so much. I love Wes Anderson. I will add it to the list. đ
Qazi, you are an amazing inspiration. I love how passionate you are and how you share that with us: "This is looking pretty amazing!". What about doing Blade Runner 2049?
I appreciate your encouragement. Means a lot. Blade Runner is on the list.
I wanna know if you have a tutorial explaining the nodes and why do you creat every node like that
Another look I'd love to see is from Avatar. Amazing video!
Thank you brother.
Maybe I should try starting with your crash course. I can't even figure out how to name my nodes! đ
i did my try, i am fully aware that its trash in comp to this but im happy with what i managed to get, i uploaded it
thank u very much
Of course
awesome work ! the matrix look ? maybe
Thank you. That's a good one.
AWESOME
thank you
thanks ...if you put a link to the image you are working on would be great...so we can train
That's great â€ïž. Loved it. But i have one question. The camera in the video is quite unstable. Where as on contrast , the mask on the sky is stable. Doesn't it look odd that the mask doesn't move with the camera cause it isn't tracked with the shaking. ...
Maybe in your case it wasn't too striking. But what if the shake is too much ...
Love from Germany đ€đ»
Love you back
nice job
thank you so much brother
Hello, I am very impressed with your work. You can put (DPX) for the work
. Thanks
Thank you
Grade Rocky boxing matches. I'll be working on grading pov protune flat gopro crossfit footage soon (2 cams strapped to chest and head) and would love to hit that look out as a base lut for all footage to tweak from there. I'm shooting in 24/48 for film look. Rocky's my hero! Bad ass channel bro.
Thank you brother.
thank you, one day will know my way around just like u
You will đ
Hey could please make a video about grading with cameras like Sony A6400 or other 8 bit cameras and which slog profiles to use!! Because not everyone uses Alexa or red in their videos many of us use Mirrorless and DSLRs...
Also love your videos and way you teach in your tutorials, they are a great help and inspiration!!
I have. Watch the free training. I used Sony a6500.
YEAH BABY!
Now, this is gold information and I truly appreciate your work my friend. I think that I've learned so much just from the Joker and the Beginner video, than all the color grade tuts I've watched in the past year!
You are not only showing us the color grading - but you also go into the nooks of DVR and reveal what a beast of software we are getting for free...
It would be nice to know your workflow when you have to grade a many clips, so that they look alike. Do you have some prof secrets you would like to share here? đ
thank you so much. Shot matching is a whole other animal and gets much more involved than what can be shown on youtube. I have a 23-hour masterclass where I deep dive into all of that. it will make everything you saw thus far seem like an appetizer. đ
@@theqazman Thanks. Will look into that!
You should also watch the free training.
@@theqazman Oh just noticed that now! Will know what to do this weekend :)
đ my man.
I just watched this video as well. I liked how you showed how you can save your template work space for working on other clips. I was wondering since you asked about what else we might be interested in watching if you could demonstrate how you approach applying your template to drastically different clips. For instance I will be editing, vfx etc color grading our indie feature film in the next few months and will have source footage from a black magic 4K camera, two black magic cinema 2.5k camera and a mavic pro drone. So my question is with your approach perhaps if you could demonstrate how you match color correction from different cameras, lighting, day for night etc, the common types of scenarios that a person would run into when making a film. And in your opinion if you know is it worth using the ACES color space to match the footage before attempting color correction. Thanks again. I will probably end up going through every video of yours more than once before I get to work.
Shot Matching is an insanely involved subject. I have a whole module dedicated to it in my Masterclass. It will be available next month if you're interested.
@@theqazman Sure! Happy to hear the details, thanks.
As an aspiring color grader/video editer myself, I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! You earned a sub
Btw what is that drum music in thr intro? I've been looking for it for a long time
It's from music bed under cinematic playlist
@@theqazman found it. Its "Outside" by The Seige
Unfortunately I can only like it once! Great work great explanation!
haha. That's so awesome. Thank you.
I would like to ask who has a material website recommendation, I need some material to practice color mixing, thank you
HEY, Your tutorials are very helpful. Thanks for your work. make a video about Lion King Look. It would be so awesome!!!
How to colour grade like peter mck. Please make a video on this topic.
can we get that all videos you work on for practice
Excellent tutorial. May I ask which camera did you use to shoot that footage?
thanks. I didn't shoot it.
The Matrix look!
On the list
Hey Qazi, Nice video again! I have an idea that I don't know if you are interested or not, is the look that Asia girls like very much, compare to other contrasted / midtone detailed looks we usually see in movies. that will be fun at least for me to compare these two very different looks in a same shot.
I went to the webinar, however all that I have is my cell phone and your page will not allow me to cast it on to my TV set. .. I can see your information as well on the small sceen of my phone . It would be nice if I could chromecast it. ....
Thank you just the same
great grading tutorial, next tutorial try to upload tv commercial look grading
Thanks. I have a few in mind.
This is a great video. I understand you do color grading but Do you know of a channel that covers the other tabs (like fx, or audio) of DR16 as well as you do. Or maybe you could do a video about other DR16 creatives that inspire you..
I will do a general crash course some time soon.
I want to see Game Of Thrones Look. When I saw in your instagram page, I said to my self it's amazing :D
Thank you brother. That's a great one. I already did the winterfell look it's on my IG but definitely it's coming here soon.
Canât hit âlikeâ enough!
haha. Thank you so much.
