- What did Mr. Goodpliers buy from the Bill Rost collection in Utica Nebraska? It's a 1957 Lincoln Capri two door hardtop, the first of the picks. Come along and see the loading and walk around of this vintage car!

Those tail lights alone make that car worth saving👍
A true car lover when they say "it's not that bad".
Neat looking old Lincoln. When I was a little kid my mom's chiropractor has a new Lincoln every year. His '57 was pale pink.
These old cars had style and class.
Better than the plastic junk of today.
Those Comets and Falcon he moved weren't bad....
I love those Lincolns coolest body style
I remember these cars new when I was in high school. Was cool styling then. Thanks for saving one. Enjoy your videos.
If you get this car running again it will be fantastic and a blessing for all of us to see it. Your friend said "don't get it right, get it working" is a genius and very wise statement. This Lincoln has class.
Thank you 4 thinking of me ! I'm playing ur old videos just 3 hear ur voice
That thing is awesome. White walls sand blast primer and running
Lets go baby
The forklift guy, .." Really, .. you couldn't want a car, that was sitting the end of the row?"
Nice choice, definitely worth saving.
She's been sittin' around!! But what style! Honestly I was afraid she'd snap in half when they forked her up. Please build this!!
That exact thing happened to my grandpa when he tried to by a convertible 57 chevy. Heartbreaking moment
Some are parts cars - important also lol
classic cars need saved... I always wondered what happened to my HS CAR 72 Buick Centurion Convertible, got from my Aunt, just so happened today I saw it, was painted light blue, far cry from it bright yellow/ black convertible top and factory Buick chrome steel wheels. dam I should chased the driver down. but had go get stuff for the grill. soon ill find the owner make offer they can't resist. classic defiantly worth saving.
Those headlights are single, the lower units are fog lamps. Four beams weren't approved in all states until 1958. The Cadillac Eldorado and the largest Nash had them in 57.
You have real courage and skills to tackle this car. I get it though. It's just not me. Did spin my head around to see the Falcon and the 2 Comet hardtops. Both on my "bucket list". I'll be watching with great interest. Good luck!
The dark green that came on those was amazing!
Most of the Dodge cars I've had were green and two Chevy's , it is an awesome color for sure !
Yes. Factory black and dark green are awesome on classics. I will go out of my way to find cars in those colors!
Mr. B. Here ! 04/03/23 , to see a two door is very cool ! 😊😊😊😊
57 Lincoln......one of my dream cars. I have a 59 now. Good choice!
Good luck man ! Gotta love the rear end on that classic. Can’t wait to see the finished product !
Ran across a 1956 Lincoln premier 2dr in a original teal colour in like new condition Sept last year (2021) at a small town car show in Benito Manitoba. I recorded a walk around at a small car show. My episode number 212a. Those cars had such cool exterior & interior colours.
When this car gets restored it's going to have a unique look I love the light bar turn signals in the front Etc who needs a 57 Chevy!
A rare unique classic car for a unique classical guy !
Keep up the good work Tim
I love ur work, please keep doing what you do best
Thank you so much for your kind words and your interest in the channel!
Best of luck with this one
I just love all those real steel older cars. Cads, Lincoln's, DeSotos, Chryslers, Hudsons, Cords, ya know 👀👍
That'll buff right out! Saw a stunning '57 Premiere this weekend in that violet color. I don't know the proper name for the color. It won Best of Show..just an amazing machine. Look forward to seeing this come back to life!
What a fantastic find. Thanks for saving her.
Amazing vehicle, -and great save. Would love to see this run and move again.
Lots of work but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Have fun, wear your safety glasses!👍
Beautiful car.best of luck restoring your car
Anything is buildable. All it takes is money, talent, dedication, and more money. Get it running and driving, then start looking for parts while you're enjoying it.
Love it can’t wait to hear it run
I had a 57 Chevy and only knew those but found out Lincoln 's were way ahead with unibody and other things. My Mom had a 57 Plymouth and .y Dad hated it. Nothing but problems, broken torsion bars, springs. That Lincoln will be really Neat cleaned up..
Well done guys what a beautiful car look up nobody's auto picked up 1the other week on yt
My brother congratuleicion , Saludos desde Colombia .
I would be less worried about the thing sitting in a swamp rotting for 18 million years versus the pettibone's jabbing those giant forks at the bottom doing damage
You've got a lot of work ahead of you. Best wishes for success.
OMG! Seeing All of those 20's to 60's Car's is making Me Drool, Perfect Petina 👍, Some I'd Hot Rod, others I'd Restore If all of the parts are there 🤑
Think these are my favourite 50s Lincoln, even more than the Continental. This one has a lot going for it, most of the trim looks usable, it’s a two-door and if it’s solid underneath it would be a worthwhile if somewhat involved restoration. Pity the glass is damaged. Being one year only might make finding parts a little tricky but you’d have a great and rare car at the end. Really like to see some updates on this, it’s great that you save them but what happens next?
You know that paint will just buff right out !!
Wow what a great collection of vehicles
The patina look is thing right now ... wish I still had the restoration shop ( and age ..haha) i'd be making a road trip to that place, what a treasure trove
The 1956 & 1957 Lincolns were my favorites of all time.
That. Is a real beautiful car
He's got some gooduns. That looked like a pretty good Falcon he moved to get yours. That rear bumper on the Lincoln looked great. Old cars probably got some stories it could tell.
Bought one of these whem I was 19. Perfect, factory Purple with pink and white leather. Ran and drove great. Sold it for $135.00 in 1966
It was A 1956 Premier 2Dr Hardtop
😭 Back then they were just old cars
Interesting choice Mr. G P ! I've gone to car shows a long time and I've seen the Premiere but once and never a Capri. My neighbor did have one of these cars but I can't remember what model. Big, solid cars like the Imperials of the era. Love your videos
Awesome Car 😎
Very cool car.
That Junkyard looks like my yard yard. I would've went for the 58 Ford Ranchero visible to the far right at 2:42 good luck with your Lincoln!
Cool car. Good luck finding parts.
Please do a video of the build/restoration...
Great choice!
Tom cotter from hagerty was at hidden car collection the gentlemen had one. Good luck with it. Can't wait to see future uploads of it
You picked a nice one for sure. What a beautiful car. You could put a suitcase in that glove box!
Nice car man! Good score!
Nice Lincoln. I liked the 57 fins better than the 56. Your trailer fender sure took a beating though.
Several years ago it was hit. I decided to re-mount it rather than replacing it
Very cool, I'm hoping very soon to get back into restoring. I would like to find a 58 Edsil Wagon, my Dad bought one brand new off the lot. 👍❤🇺🇸
I agree with Jason , the tail lights alone make it worth saving ! Way cool ride for sure , would be a blast to daily ! Other than a little weight reduction I bet those bumpers are 400 lbs a piece !
Really nice car I have never seen one like it and I'm 70 sharp !!
You need to go to Shady Nook Auto in Oklahaoma ! 8000+ Mopars !
Mostly Old Parts And Rust=MOPAR
I would like to ask you if you would as you start to get this thing running let us be a part of it I would love to see the old girl go again most specially if she could go under her own power original engine
Cool Lincoln for you! Please save all the Tri-Five Chevys in this yard people! They are my favorite.... ❤️
The bumper hitch looks light enough to think the transmission didn’t burn up from towing an overloaded trailer on a flat Nebraska highway. May have trailered something light weight like lawnmowers for a retired guy cutting lawns locally.
If you have serious pollen allergies, would not get into car until it is cleaned and or disinfected properly. (Lysol spray). Windows too. Prevent any black fungus that is always around, but more opportunistic as the pandemic winds down, as found in India.
Would add air conditioning.
Air conditioning ! That's what those cute little corner Windows are for ! At least that's what I use mine for !
368 is what I have been looking for.
Was, I repeat was someone’s dream car but those days have a long since faded away!
Birds are chirping in delight over a huge car there planning on poopin on
That will be a Nice looking car when it is all done. There was a British Ford Capri and a U.S. Mercury Capri
King Kustom Cadillac Man that was one of his first Kustom builds was that same kinda car in made it look like a chop top by putting a back windshield in the front windshield it looked pretty cool, then from then on that's all he built was Lincoln's and Cadillac's
Great car deserves to be restored.
Being from rusty Massachusetts i see a lot of future builds in that yard
Cool car. Will be interesting to see if you can get it running.
good luck for restoration
Hope to see or I mean hear it run sir
Great choice
If I ever needed to hear a lullaby to fall asleep I'd listen to this dude because his monotone voice makes me sleepy
Nice choice on the Lincoln, Bill has so many cars it would be hard to choose just one! it's a bit roached out but it might run?! (as long as it turns over and the valves arn't stuck)
Unfortunately the valves are stuck - The crank will turn about an eighth inch either direction. Soak and wait...
Sometimes I come here to get my fix by playing with the app playback speed. Laugh so hard I dam near piss my pants! Lol
Like the cars from the 30's thru the 60's . Not a land yacht fan. I'm more into the two door coupe vehicles. The 57 would look great if it could be fully restored.
I chose the first two that you got out of the way, but your choice is remarkable! ;]
Have to do a will it run? I bet she’ ll fire up!😎🇺🇸
I’m not sure exactly what your age group is I love the cars out of the 50s and 60s and a product of the 70s and I have always wanted to have a vehicle out of the 50s or 60s in like you just said it don’t have to be like it came off the showroom floor just running and driving the closest I got to it was only 67 Belair it was in rough shape body wise but the engine was excellent some of my best times without an around On the whole country roads with my family bring back my childhood as I was raised with these kind of vehicle
The two Chevy's I owned 51 and 52 you have to deal with 6 volt systems , drum brakes , master cylinder under floor boards , the list goes on and on ! They are cool keep in mind parts are going to be a problem and no , I mean No modern amenities ! Great first cars for kids mine didn't see 100 mph ! 😋
Nice car to save, hurts a bit to see the loader handle it😅 Hope it runs though after 20years is crazy lol
Yeah, he dang near scratched it.
@@stevenreynolds2327 if its a parts car oke but if you get a dent in the rocker panel or whatever there is just more work.
@@mennoboon8037 If that pile of crap ever legally hits the street running, I will send him $300.00 as a gift.
@Mr.goodpliers i think you should accept the challenge😄
Those guys beat the heak out of your trailer fender.
That was one of the most expensive cars Ford ever built and according to what I have heard they never made a dollar on any of them 56/57 Probably one of the best-designed and built cars of that era.
I wouldn't doubt it , imagine the work and time and cranes you need just for the bumpers !
There's an old fellow that comes to our local car shows that has one very similar, but I believe his has partial tinted glass top on it, I've never really checked it out real close but I think he drives it down from a town close to Atlanta.
That might be a Mercury Sun Valley
I would also like to ask you the next time you go back to the junkyard as you were painting around getting the link and I thought I saw a blue approximately 57 Ford I would like to know more about this item
Another one saved 🙏🏻
Where is the yard located i would like to come and have a look around. Thanks. The car you pick is a very good looking car . It's good to see some one is into the big old cars. Looking forward to see some pics of it when you get it back on the road 😀
Good Pick
I just find your Chanel. I subscribed.
I'm looking for a couple of cars from the 60s
Thanks, and welcome! What specific vehicles are you looking for?
@@mr.goodpliers6988
Good Morning
1967 chevelle
1967 Gto
1968 camaro rally
Thanks for your response
George Barris, made the original Batmobile out of the concept car, that later turned into the Premier.......With a little tweaking, it could happen again.....
I hope you leave that Lincoln as new.
The car deserves it
Every one of those cars has a story to tell, too bad they can't talk.
VERY scarce, and like the Wixom built '58s-'60s, suspension parts are uniobtainium on these. Good luck.
Só clássicos 👏👏👏👏
Uma achado precioso, parabéns. maneco -Brasil.
Gracias por compartir ,recuerdos ,sueños ,posibles de revivir ,👍
Not everyone loves the 57 Lincoln, I always did. I think Lincoln would have been better off had they just updated this design for 58&59. The Corporation lost 60 million 1950s dollars doing the new 58-60 Lincoln and they didn't sell as many of those every year as Lincoln sold in 56&57 . In 57 they sold 41,123 and in 56 they sold 50,322, both years they sold more than imperial
I have never seen one before...
I hope you can save the old girl
If i had the cash i would go get that 60 ranch wagon.
