How did they raise Mabel in that same apartment for 20 yrs? It only had their one bedroom. Are we to assume mabel bunked in with her parents for her whole life?
😆 if you watch the show they have a bathroom that leads to a door that leads to mabels room...im assuming that..they had 2 bedrooms and one bathroom apartment
They bought the apartment next door, that's where Mabel's bedroom is. It was shown in the last season.
@@WillowJordan1979 thats right. It's still weird that you have to walk through their bedroom to get to her room.
Housing is very expensive in NYC. People do crazy things to get by. There's a family with 2 teenage daughters in my building who live in a small one-bedroom apartment.
Hunt has had some tight face work done. Shes looking stretched out.

She looks more like Harry from 3rd Rock From The Sun. Always squinting at you.
@@Some_One_One that's not it. Her facelift is terrible. Ages her by 20 yrs. Her lips are gone and she could barely move her mouth. It was so distracting.

I never watched the reboot. Why do they have to fight all the time? It’s a comedy folks, keep it light.
I just finished the reboot. It was cute as far as being nostalgic but most of the jokes were forced and stale. And why did they have to make the Paul character such a simpy Beta male archetype?? It's like he had absolutely no backbone. Both Mabel and Jamie pushed him around every single episode. And all he did was constantly apologize. He wasn't like that at all in the original series. He was never OVERLY masculine but he was never a complete pushover. And the Jamie character was so brittle and harsh now. She lost her sense of humor.
ANOTHER THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE FORCED DIVERSITY. EVERY SHOW TODAY DOES THAT. IT'S UNNECESSARY AND IT'S CHEAP. THEY'RE JUST PANDERING. AND I SAY THIS AS A BLACK WOMAN.
It's so obvious they were just trying to appear "woke" and PC.
So he got more Simpy and she's Murphy Brown
I just finished out the season, and I have to say I didn't enjoy it.
1. Helen Hunt's plastic surgery eyes are distracting.
2. When you need to be left alone, people keep barging in unwanted, as exemplified by the fish tank episode. Just all you idiots leave already. You're not even supposed to be here at all.
3. The bitter arguments between Paul and Jamie.
4. The worthless psychologist. "Just give up." Why are you paying her money? 99/100 the psychologist ruins the show. Nobody wants to see that.
5. I don't for a second believe that Ira's restaurant could be profitable. It seems like he's never charging anyone for food.
6. Lisa's job sitting for famous people is an obvious plea for famous people to do cameos on the show. So far I only saw one.
7. I don't remember their apartment being so big. There are like 3 couches in the living room. People in NYC without the word "Trump" or "Rockefeller" in their names don't have apartments this big. It doesn't make sense. Especially not with Jamie being out of work for so long and just now becoming a psychiatrist. So... you had this doctorate in psychology all these years and you're just now using it? You're not good with money are you (runs in the family). So no, I can't believe they can afford this apartment. Not at all. not in the least.
8. Take another look at this apartment. Do you have to go through the bathroom to get to the bedrooms? What if I'm in there using it? You just don't sleep? This makes no sense at all.
Also there is a couch and a recliner in the bathroom. Again, this place is way too big for NYC.
And the very worst part.
9. Mabel. I hate her. There's nothing to like about her. She's super critical of others but can't stand up to the slightest criticism. And she's wrong about everything. Basically she's an annoying cross between Meat Head (All in the Family) and Greta Thunberg. She ruins everything she touches but act s like she has it all figured.
Mabel is without a doubt the worst part about the new Mad About You.
Unless you like rolling around in broken glass and other forms of causing yourself pain, you will not enjoy Mabel.

Agree about Mabel. She was so obnoxious and bratty. Such an abrasive personality. One reviewer said that mad about you worked best as a two-person show. Adding a third person ruins the chemistry.
