Bayern Munich this season is literally the template Barca should've followed in rebuilding an aging squad through shrewd or informed signings
Exactly. everyone thought of Robben and Ribery as irreplaceable and then Gnabry and Coman come in and have the seasons of their lives. Players like Kimmich and Davies are now the most sought after young players on the planet...
Not exactly!
Bayern mostly buy the newcomers (Coman, Gnabry, Kimmich, SĂŒle, Pavard, Davies all were bought) while Barça obviously needs to develop the new generation of players themselves making use of La MasĂa.
Nanuan yes I agree but you still need to develop them to be class players.
Bingo !
Bayern seamlessly transitioned. Replaced Robbery, Lahm, Martinez and Gomez with a group of fresh faces for years to come.
They could let go of Thiago, Alaba and Boateng and be just fine. Incredible management.
Bayern proved constantly that it is one of if not the best run club in Europe
I think barca used to did that.. they transition from the ronaldinho era to messi era seamlessly. Then the david villa / pedro & the MSN without any problem. Now they just didn't have any luck with the signing and also the pool of talent in la masia is drying
I miss the old barcelona. Puyol, iniesta, xavi, mascherano, alves, alba, and messi bro those times were fire.
Few stolen games too. Can't deny it!
i really liked david villa aswell....but he got injured and his prime was shortened and decided MLS would be better.....david villa had a charisma that messi doesnt have ....ronaldo has it too , zlatan aswell.... they all are cool... but for some reason messi doesnt seem that cool to me (i dont really look up to him) even though he is a great player
So do I.. Frank Rijkaard, Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto'o etc.
Seeing Barca rise was way more fun than watching them keep winning.
Watching el clasico during Ronaldinho's prime and see him destroy the legends of Real Madrid was the best thing I have seen in footballs history.
Before it was Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto'o etc vs Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckam and Carlos etc, now it's more or less Messi vs CR7. Interesting but not as interesting as the first mentioned.
Sanchez Fabregas Villa Pedro yessir
where are etoâo and ronaldinho??
Barcelona never tried to replace players like Xavi, Iniesta or Dani Alves, that's why they lost their style of play
They never rebuild their defense
@@zimma2474 I know, Pique is now 34 and you can't tell me Lenglet or Umtiti could replace someone like Puyol. That's why they conceded 8 goals against Bayern, and you'd 8-2 see that đ

what u mean they not trying? they trying but no players come like their skills
How can they sign players if they're being held ransom by not only Messis contract but other players they have overpaid to stay relevant.

@@lettuce1305 Milan's performace in this past season has been much better than in the past. There is a lot of hope, specially if they make the right signings this window.
I knew this back in 2017 , I knew its decline would start right after David Villa, Xavi and Masherano. The old team was legendary ( Valdes,Puyol,Xavi,Iniesta,Ronaldinho,Etoo and Thiery Henry) due to the fact that most of them had chemistry regarding both managers Pep and Rikjard, Not only for their chemistry but the midfield was the playmaker back then. While Pep in 2011 would kick out some old players it still came as an advantage for him since he knew how to use young players and a world class midfield. Around the arrival of Suarez and the creation on MSN there was a tiny drop in that phase yes they won a UCL and every spanish trophy it came at a cost because Enrique never planned for the next new midfield regarding both Xavi and Iniestas retirement.
By 2017 Neymar had left but this wasn't bad enough. It was the leaving of Iniesta and Enrique. As Valverde took over that turned for the worse contributing Messi being captain. Valverde never knew anything about transfers and would rarely use young players or train them well, he would always lower the chemistry. Messi also as captain never contributed anything he was a great player but a bad captain, despite all the loses Messi never encouraged them or calmed them down I dont blame him tho. 2018-2021
Barcelonas big issue is that they cant let go of some players . They don't know how to use a young player to or how to pick a transfer

Pessi deserves it
We? Did you play the game?
One of the main reasons behind this might be due to the fact that the team is simply becoming a victim of their own success. Remember that their 2008-2012 era was outstanding and it is a period of domination which few clubs will ever achieve. Before this, they were in a minor slump for a while, resulting in a stronger emphasis on academy-based players since there wasn't too much to lose. In addition, most of the players who were responsible for that success were academy-based players. As Barcelona reached the top, they had more to lose resulting in prioritizing short-term success. Likewise, they focused on buying players over creating players due to the immediate success. However, as their academy suffered, many of these new transfers didn't cut it.
I feel like the aging stars being selfish makes it hard for the transition of old guard to new guard to take place, because they were so good that you inclined to play them rather than risk using young new players. But you stifle the young players from becoming first team players, and as time goes on, the old guard's performance becomes a depreciating gamble.
True all they just do is pass to messi . Messi and ter stergen maybe griezmann didnt deserve to have this season
I dont think its the old players, i think its poor management. Barcelonas strength has always been there academy and there unique way of doing things. They were never galacticos, only brought those players that fit the system. Now its like a b tech galacticos that arent loyal to how barca always did things.
ali hamza itâs a mix of both
I think the club got so used to sucess that it damaged their signing mentality, they think about short-term solutions, they sign "stars", Griezman, Dembele, Coutinho, etc, it does not matter whether they fit in Barcelona's system or not, they changed Arthur (23) for Pianij (30) ... and all of this has created a wage problem, the board should be the first to go out, they are incompetent, they repeated Real Madrid's Galacticos mistake and managed to do it even worse.
ali hamza b tech Galacticos đ true and sad đ

"You are only as strong as your weakest link"
Ter Stegen: yeah these 10 players in front of me.
I agree, Semedo and Pique are a joke and Busquets canât run anymore
@@branx4426 lots of their players can't run anymore.
Watching this when Messi moved to psg anyone??
Messi should definetly leave. There is too much anchored to his person that cripples Barcelona as a club. In particular his salary, status and reputation among fans. If Messi's unhappy, the fans are unhappy. If Messi has a bad day, the fans think the club is declining.
For me the very first bad decision that contributed to a decline was letting Thiago leave. I pictured him as the perfect substitute for Xavi. After that there were so many promising talenst that I was suprised of finding out that they'd left the club after an intermission. Players like Tello, Munir, Rafinha, Bartra, Bojan, Deulofeo, Cuenca and so on. They all made early season appearances during Guardiola but that changed when the Bartomeu era started. Great talents got replaced by big names in the very same Galacticos fashion of RMA.
Let Messi go and focus on the talents. What goes up has got to fall but may rise again
Those players were bad though, Bojan? Munir? Tello? Well "bad" in quotation marks.

Xavi leaving hit the most to barcelona...
@Raymondsler Jr Iâm not clicking the links because you have a yt and could be supporting it
it started when neymar and Dani alves leave after that Messi was alone to play a duo combo and inesta didn't played regularly full 90 after 2017. If president was a wise one then he would have prepared well for coming year ...
Simple thing barcelona had money of neymar 220 m and waste it Liverpool had 150m of coutinho and bought Alison and fabinho letter VVD... If there was a wise man like Johan cruyff and pep they would have bought a cb after mascherano, a young RB of Dani alves, a creative mid fielder but all they did try to fulfill a neymar fool people. If your forward not strong buy 3 strong cb you will be in a final at least(like current man city without aguero they are likely will become premier league bcz defence is like wall).. but their forward was strong enough with messi Suarez they only had to straighten defence and midfield with that 300 m rest messi and Suarez would take care.đ„đ„đ„

The most fun match I have ever watched
As a Barca fan, I can take solace in knowing that mid 2000's Barca was such an exciting team to watch. Then, as if that wasn't enough, Messi came of age and then late 2000's early 2010's squads truly blessed us with arguably THE BEST team football the game had to offer.
Stalwart defenders in Puyol, Mascherano, Pique Yaya Toure were dependable and helped Valdes immensely. Dani Alves (and Jordi Alba on LB if subbed in) would be able to help carry a midfield possession by effectively becoming two more wingers alongside the core of Xavi, Iniesta, and Busquets. The tiki taka of the GOAT midfield championed by Xavi and Iniesta is our generations greatest example of team possession beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Saying that Messi complemented this squad is completely an understatement. This isn't going to be a comment about Messi since everyone knows how dominant he is and was during those years. But his style of play continued to transcend the tiki taka and made the midfield even more lethal because he could either carry the ball from midfield onto the opposing keeper, or use his uncanny vision and positional IQ and perform ridiculous passes onto Pedro, Villa, Sanchez (or Henry in 09) who would then take care of business.
All in all, what a treat for us to see PEAK Barca which I sincerely believe was one of the greatest teams of all time. Those days or gone, but we can at least be happy to have enjoyed a rarity in all sports: the greatest team of all time.
Cheers

can happen with Man City with their oil money
@@HitSousouK or psg
Just transition them to the MLS and they can find the same dominance again haha
Haha they are going to be the best at âsoccerâ
Bro knew it all along
Not going back to far but ac milan downfall was outrageous until now. They really do not challenge for the ucl anymore. Man utd is also one of the clubs too after 2013. Now barca has going through it since the last great hope against Liverpool until now.
Awesome job
Declining isn't inevitable: many rise to the top from one to the next and fall just as quickly
Falling however IS inevitable. Barcelina had their time in the sun. Now it's time for another team to have its moment
United, Chelsea, and Milan declined yet they're building right back up due to their usage of their youth stars. Barcelona never had a back-up plan which is why they began to play noticeably worse since Xavi's retirement and heavily depend on Messi's creativity, while spending insanely on players that either don't fit or are underwhelmingly poor. Neglect La Masia when teams like Real Madrid and Manchester United are poaching their star graduates.
@@oranges866 every single top team has a moment of decline (slow or fast) we had ours after fergie left, Ac Milan in early 10s, Chelsea declined from 10/11-12/13 until morinho 2nd spell but they came back from that dreadful 15/16 season. Bayern Munich and real Madrid were irrelevant in champions league in late 00s but the same is happening to United. Their will be backwards progress.
@@kevin-pu2lx exactly. That is what makes football exciting. Imagine if the same club was dominant for all these years.
@@SM-rf4vr Well...thats actually happening in Bundesliga(Bayern Munich), Serie A (Juventus), and Ligue 1(PSG), winning domestically ALMOST every season which gets boring and makes it quite tiresome after a while, just like Man United's reign under Fergie ( I was so glad for their decline tbh..)
@@samredfield4963 seire a is definitely getting better it might return to the 90s era.
Iâve always said.. the music of Raymarâs videos are compelling. It ties everything together. Iconic.
You could have said the in one sentence. âMSNâ now just M
And the midfield
Yes i cried
How could u tell ..
Yep! I knew this was coming!
Lmao obviously
I saw ur comment it said 3 second ago lol
Make a video on Cruyff... asking for the 100th timeđđŒ
Indeed.. Johan Cruyff would be a great video on a modern Barca legend.
The Smartest person that football ever had, this man spoke facts as an everyday conversation.
@@TylerSolvestri Love to see people in today's generation recognizing his greatness... or else, nowadays children only know about Pele or Maradona, but not about Cruyff, whom they should know more about!
@@thedarkknighthasrisen Because they are plastic, Pelé, faced amateur players mostly, he also played at Santos which was a dominant team in his league and in all South America, many of Pelé's goals were against players that weren't actually footballers but part-timers with another profession and in Friendly matches with Clubs that don't exist anymore. While Cruyff actually made a new way of playing football, believe or not he is he reason why high pressure exist, The Orange Mechanic was the first team in doing this, they attacked with even 7 players trying to get the ball from rivals of the opposite teams and it actually worked. He also created the tiki taka with the Dream Team were he was manager and won 5 leagues vs Madrid, a team that was kidding around before he went there and made a revolution.
@@TylerSolvestri Absolutely correct! And on top of that, Cruyff could shoot, pass, cross and dribble from any position, any point of both his feet and from any angle! Apart from that, such a great game intelligence! A true leader who guided the team being the mindflayer and the maestro at the same time! For me he was the best, both as a player and manager! He changed the game's philosophy!
Try again. We are rising again from ashes.
when he said "corner taken quickly" i felt my heart hurt a lot
this whole montage of barcaâs glory days brought a tear to my eye
FC Barcelona have failed Messi in my opinion especially in 18-19 when they should have won the UCL after Messi's first leg masterclass vs Liverpool. Its absurd to think a single player to superman you to a treble.
It's disgusting how people blame that ucl exit vs liverpool on messi
Really? Why doesnt he leave themm.. Only two option: Either get destroyed by playing with a bad team OR, leave the team.. You cant say that a player really lacks good teammates when we know he is talented enough to persue any club to sign him.. So
Paul Cooper Yes m Same did the messi , just imagine if there was ramos or chellaini or ronaldo or any good captain would it occur? That the leaders part to make players mentally ready..
@@glitchystar1336 see, Messi was the captain in both the 4-0 and the 2-8.
But he is supposed to be "god" đ
Today they won the laliga 2022/23đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
But we are yet to win treble or atleast a double like prime Barcelona did
Well 3 years later Barca is pretty dominant
We won the league, that's basic for us.
Xavi has the potential to be out best coach since PG,but he needs players and money đ°!
Raymar, please read this.
Please, you have the best videos i have ever seen on youtube. All i ask is for you to upload more. Really. Thank you for all the videos. Keep it up. Well done.
Messi needs to go, heâs done his part and now he needs to move on. His best best bet would to go to a team like Man City, Inter, or even a team like Juventus.
Inter and Juventus, graveyards of great footballers, where one can be injured and finish his career in less than six months.
No need to premier league
Juventus FC is good
I would love to watch Messi n Ronaldo together playing for a single club
Imagine Ronaldo and Messi on the same team
@@ireodetola6420 that would be unimaginable
Great video
Well well well 4 year later, and here I am commenting of what just happened at camp nou when barca bottles the lead.
