I almost always forget about May 4 and later that day I get a reminder and this year this video ⭐️ I got Ep 1-9 on Bluray and Ep 1-6 on DVD. Also got these two spin-off "mainline" movies (on Bluray).
What I like to talk about is WHICH ORDER to watch all these 9+2 movies. I've seen some different recommendations. The easy recommendation is to only watch the 9 numbered movies in number order. But there's other recommendations. Maybe you can make a Part 2 of this to discus different orders to watch all movies?
Next up: I have to mention Family Guy's parodies. I think they made 3 parodies and I got a Bluray with 3 parodies. So fun!!

And once again thanks for reminding us about May 4th! I never watched any Star Wars today but I wanna do it soon!
TOP SECRET: I've never watched ep 7-9 and the two spin-off movies yet! I collected the movies one by one and wanted to have them all so I can watch 7-9 as a marathon: either on the same day or one per day for 3 days. But now I'm thinking about this: I wanna watch all 11 movies as a marathon. The Bluray versions. 46" Full HD TV and a 5.1 surround sound system.
And speaking about 5.1 and that original Dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1... do we really need these new formats like Dolby Atmos? And when will Samsung and LG give us DTS back in their TVs?

Every time I rewatch TPM I’m always confused by peoples complaints.
I’m all for having every cut OT being released in HD physically. George shot himself in the foot by not giving us an option. I’m all for him having his vision 100% but the extras at the beginning of the 97 tape made me more curious about the original cut not just the changes and specifically effects in general.
If I am to only watch the OT yes the original cut is perfered. If I’m to watch Star Wars chronologically like I prefer it’s the special editions.
Personally I think there’s a middle ground between the original cut and the special editions that make for the best viewing experience.
Oh Rouge One is still awesome and Revenge of the Sith is my favorite.
I very much agreed with most of what you said, from the lack of release of the OT theatrical cut to the Prequels' overblown hatred, but you can't say with a straight face that TLJ "tried to be different". It's a disgustingly lazy post-modernist hodgepodge of plot elements from ESB and RoTJ, relying on cheap "plot twists" to cover up how lacking in cohesion they are : case in point, the absolute uselessness of Finn and Rose's plot. Or Ma-Rey Sue and Kylo's Force Skype calls ultimately leading up to him going even more insane and doubling down on being evil for evil's sake, while she's even more perfect and incorruptible than before.
They messed up Anakins chosen one story as he didn't bring balance or end the sith. That got handed to Rey because she killed Palpatine...... Rey is everything that's wrong with Disney Star Wars. Nothing is earned. Lazy writing

I've always enjoyed the original cuts for the original trilogy. When the prequels came out I thought they were alright, but the last three: seven, eight and nine are utterly garbage. Star Wars just became too over saturated with its TV shows, cartoons, and video games. They really beat that dead horse.
