What I remember about the rise of Disney is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars TV Show, the writers was discreetly transferred back to Disneyworld. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. I hate this line from that game. Clone troopers were just made to be soulless robots who followed orders according to eu lore. Making them have chips that forced obedience makes way more sense as their would have been tons of defectors that would have refused to kill jedi had it just been training. Revan should still be canon, as it was from his studies that Darth Bane derived the Rule of Two, and Bane still is canon, as are most Sith Lords from around his time, mainly between him and Palpatine, so this video is slightly incorrect.

Ok I have the be the one to point this out, the clone wars PAVED the way for this to happen, it completely ignores everything from the EU and has no ties nor set up to future events of the EU like the original multimedia clone wars does, TCW also retcons and erases several events from said multimedia project.

Then ten years later we get some impersonator that says its battlefront 2 but it isn't, it was a lie

Considering that the part with Bail Organa (with Lucas' head here), you could've also added in for the Jedi kid who appears and dies during to be one of non-movie projects he had a big hand in (Dark Empire or Force Unleashed) or another EU Star Wars project he liked (Shadows of the Empire). That way it fits his subsequent "No!" scream and then barely escaping with his life!
But all in all, this video hit me. Hard :(. I was freaking crying when I saw Republic Commando being blasted (Boss being kenobi, as his cameo in the show barely spares Delta Squad), Revan being gunned down, and dear Kyle being shot in the back.

Seriously, people who say Legends sucks always - and I mean ALWAYS - use the old Marvel comics, Dark Empire, the Droids and Ewoks series and Skippy the Jedi Droid (which never was canon!!!) as examples. So mostly stuff that came before Heir to the Empire, which essentially established the modern EU. They NEVER mention things like the Bane Trilogy, Darth Plagueis, Legacy, Dark Times, Republic, KotOR, Tales of the Jedi, Coruscant Nights, Jedi Knight, Legacy of the Force, Jedi Apprentice, Kenobi, the entire Clone Wars multimedia project, Republic Commando, Cloak of Deception, Knight Errant, Rogue Squadron and all the other stuff that is much better than everything in the new canon, even the movies! Why is that? Because they don't know it! All they know about the EU is from Hello Greedo and some clickbait articles written by SJW hipsters who hate the original Star Wars because it's not "inclusive" enough! They hate the EU with a passion because they lack any identity so they want to be part of the hype by pretending to be Star Wars nerds. The only problem is that the EU is so huge that it would take time and effort to become a true Star Wars fan, so they pretend it never happened. @Gaius Wyrden Indeed. He did not survive the Great EU Purge. They killed him and used his dead body as a puppet to wave around to lure us back. That's not the same Thrawn from the EU. Also there had been treachery in the fandom long before Disney, even as far back as 2008, when the new Clone Wars destroyed the character of Grievous from the 2003 Clone Wars and retconned so many things. Characters like Ahsoka never existed, Anakin didn't meet Douku between episodes 2 and 3 because in episode 3 he says "since the last time we met", meaning in episode 2, not during The Clone Wars.
Most of these EU fans are heretics which will gladly call the EU "legends", a name given by Disney to degrade us and make it seem like the stories never happened.

As time went by, George decided to pass on to others his creation, and passed the torch to one of his apprentices, a woman named Kathleen Kennedy. At the same time, he sold all rights to Disney, a huge corporate empire disguised as a family oriented company.
No sooner had this merger taken place, Emperor Mickey reveled his plans made with Kathleen....she betrayed and murdered Star Wars. In one fell swoop, the EU was all but destroyed and Star Wars fell to the Woke Side.
But...there is still hope. As time went on, Disney's billion dollar investment had nearly bankrupted them in the wake of a pandemic, those of us who grew up with the EU pass down what we have learned to our children and as time went by, the next generation of fans realized just how bad Disney's Star Wars is....and the demand to return the EU has never been stronger. The harder Disney tries to bury the EU, the louder the fans become.
It's ironic. They got in their own way when all the had to do was nothing but allow the EU to be, and money would have come.

Well season 7 was made. The effects just aren't finished. It's only a few episodes long. It's short like season 6, but more action packed. It's not hard to find on CZcams.

I almost cried when I saw the star wars 1313 and the clone wars season 7 and kotor 3... This was almost more moving than obiwans speech to Anakin after the mustufar duel... This was heartwrenchingly true.. Disney really did have Lucas at gunpoint (figuratively) and he's quoting Anakin "what have I done?" after he betrays mace windu who portrays the fans... And now he bows to his new master, The Mouse...

Lord Omega I think Rebels Thrawn is just as good as EU Thrawn, but i cant deny that sometimes, they just overdo it with the rebel's plot armor in the show and so he ends up losing.
It just goes to show how damn good Thrawn is, it takes an overwhelming amount of plot armor just to survive encounters with him and his armada.

I could never figure out why they didn't do the multidimension thing with legends that they did with Marvel and DC. Continue the book line and maybe some toys, occasionally vid game, but then have the main new canon. This way it pleases both old and new fans. It is like having two franchises and you could even do crossovers.... Oh well what do I know.

If the real world theories are ever proven then it might actually be more realistic. Besides most SciFi franchises have muiltiverses or at the very least mention other dimensions. I understand why Disney scrapped everything that came after ep 6. But, To this day. I still question why did Disney make the Old Republic, and Revan go under legends. It took place before the prequels and everything after return of the Jedi. So it literally wouldn't have affected anything that Disney would onto the Canon later on.

After the prelogy, the whole Jedi Knight universe couldn't stand anyway (but it still could have been remade)

Thanks to the Clone Wars some of Star Wars Legends was saved. It's kind of funny how when The Clone Wars series was announced people were worried it wouldn't follow legends and rather disregard it for their own creation, now, because they tried to follow legends, some of the legends stories are saved, like the story of Mandalore
