I also recently did a psychiatry rotation and seen lyrica used a lot in the context of generalized anxiety and was actually told it's fine line if isolated GAD.
That's right. It's being used off label for GAD often if SSRI's maxed or contraindicated.

Pregabalin Really helped me
For those with anxiety is there even any point in a second dose in the evening? If I am home I am not anxious. So Would it be ok for a small dose in the morning and thats it? I tried 75mg and just felt just very numb, so I was thinking of a much lower dose and maybe even every other day to avoid tolerance building up. I also take modafinil every other day for ADHD.
Thanks for the information, it helpful! I am on Lyrica/Pregabalin for Neuropathic Pain after lung surgery. I am on 400Mg a day 150MG in the day and 250MG at night but recently the Dose is not helping as it was. I have had Side effects 3 and 4 but it has not made me want to stop the Medication. My DR has recently prescribed me a Sedative for the night to (Promethazine 25MG). Would you say that its possible to Increase the Lyrica/Pregabalin Dose to 600MG a Day? I am base in the UK but finding it hard to get good Pain Management so any Advise would be great. Thank You!
Upt to 600mg is fine. Above that is not recommended as they did not run any studies. Cheers.

Maybe try a combination of lyrics , Opana for extended relief and a breakthrough at a very low dose. This will keep you covered all around.

I’m on 100mg twice a day for peripheral neuropathy from my L5 nerve root being compressed for years. I’m post fusion but I’m finding mid day my electrical shocks get bad and by the time I take my dose at night it seems to do very little. Unfortunately I have a very lazy unavailable doctor who isn’t helping me. I feel like I need a stronger dose , do you have any advice for a dosage for my condition? Gabapentin was working better but the side effects were horrible
Try B6 instead.
Can you get stomach pain over the years of using lyrica im just wondering if it had caused me to get crohns disease which i have been diagnosed.
I don't think so simply because most of my patients with Crohn's have never been on Lyrica.
I dropped down Lyrica and got rid of my brain fog. It was dramatic

I have Fibromyalgia Neuropathy Arthritis and pats. I am currently on alyrica 200 mg. 3 times a day. I'm tough enough to transmit. All my problem with the lyrica is the waking. Should I ask my Doctor for a water pill? I do have higher Blood Pressure and that is due to pots. I'm 53 and my whole life.I've always had low blood pressure in none of these issues This all started to happen probably between my thirties and now
That weight is not a correct stat that study is NS. Dads a doctor and I’m on Lyrica. Everyone I’ve met has gained minimum 25-30 pounds. I’ve never met anyone who hasn’t. I met a body builder who is gaining and can’t lose weight. I have to live in extreme pain I can’t keep gaining.
I’ve been on lyrics for over a year. I fast for one day a week and haven’t gained any weight.
Im on 150mg morning and 300 at night. For 2 weeks i had side 3,4,5 but it went away. Since then i have gained alot of weight (15kg) but staying hydrated and eating smart is slowly taking me back down

I tore many ligaments and tendons due to Lyrica induced muscle atrophy, so I’m mostly bedridden now.
The side effects that are the worst for me are nightmares, sleepy but with extreme insomnia, headaches, some vision issues and just feeling not there. I’ve had memory loss mid sentence, the shakes on the inside and slight nausea. I already had a predisposition for all of those things. I just started on this medication a week ago at 75 mg at night only. I’m going to ask my doctor to pull it back to 25 mg because the nerve pain is tolerable where it was not before. For me, I would like to see if this drug will work out. As a side note, I have a very low tolerance to prescription medication in general so that is the difference between me and others.

Now that I'm off from the pills for about 2 months, I'm experiencing eye fatigue, forehead tightness, and feels like my skin is thin. How bout you sir what were your other withdrawal symptoms aside from insomnia? And how long did you take Lyrica?

I have the peripheral neuropathy I weighed 137 when this journey started now I weigh 220 pounds I worked out for two hours every single day I eat less than 1000 cal and I keep gaining weight and it’s mostly this belly fat that hangs over my dad keeps saying I need to reduce my calories I’m already at 1000 cal I’m burning 300 400 at the gym I see no other option but to go off of Lyrica I’m a young 30-year-old woman I can’t be going from 137 to 220. And it’s the only thing that works. What do I do!

My wife has been a size 0 for 20 years she couldnnever gain weight reguardless of what she ate , 3 months on lyrica she cant fit into anything and has put on 55lbs magically as well as deveoloped severe depression and worse. She has never been depressed even with many reason to be. I regret her choice of taking this pill, i warned her to not take it and she went on the direction of her doctor in conjunction with her pain meds. She isbdisabled withbserve spinal stenosis xervucal stenosis lumbar stenosis. Bulging disc herniated disc, she has always been in pain but rather upbeat and happy given her bad luck with her body. Immediately after taking lyrica she has turned into a person ive never known, inwant my old wife back. I forced her to quit taking it and she has begun to finally lose weight, she is maybe starting tonbe a little less depressed, but it cones and goes. This drug has ni business being on the market. Opiods are 10000x safer then this garbage.

It makes me feel level headed in the morning especially when I take it before sleep. I feel confident and sharp on it. 75mg.

Happened to me the first week. After that the effects disappeared.
Gabapentin gave me depression, suicidal thoughts, partial blindness, dizziness and extreme fatigue. Switched to pregabalin and all improved, but I now have bad water retention and weight gain. Lesser of two evils I guess.
It makes my liver hurt but gabapentin does not.
My sister is on 300, mg lyrica per day with 150 mg of Tramadol a day, she is trying to reduce these drugs she's on them 10 years, no one mentions the withdrawal from these drugs! My sister is in an awful state, I've told her to reduce as slow as she can.
I have only taken 150 mg for 2 months and 15 days, and recently stopped taking it cold turkey and felt like I was gonna die. I know exactly what your sis is going through, tell her to also check videos on how to tamper, wanna do the same. This drug is poison!!

Brałem 75mg pregabalin dziennie. Odstawiłem i przez 3 tygodnie umierałem! 😱 Lek okropny! Łatwo się przyswaja, ale rozstać się z nim jest bardzo ciężko! 😢

Are you sure you were on that much Lyrica? Not supposed to take more than 600mg pregabalin per day so might explain the extreme side effects.

To anyone considering mass dosing of this lyrica shit,please DO NOT DO IT. I just did myself at 11:28 this morning and Im regretting it to say the least. It will mess you up yes but in a very profound pcghciallagiacal way.See I cant even spell. Im a long term drug abuser who has done preety much every thing under the sun,not a brag im ashamed of this fact.The experience im feeling now is comparable to PCP.
