- Got tired of the manual lock on my Liberty Safe and though it was time to replace it with something reliable and quicker access. Lock was ordered from Liberty Safes and is the same lock Liberty delivers the Lincoln safe with. This is not a difficult task but if your safe is still under warranty, recommend having it done by a professional.

Excellent video for replacing dial and lock. Thank you.
With companies keeping records of backdoor or bypass information to their customer's safes, after market locks purchased with cash without records have become necessary to actually have security.
Big Nasty, Like Jay I had an SG digital on my Liberty Fat Boy. It too was eating batteries on a monthly basis. Just installed a Securam Scan Logic Basic finger print lock thanks to your video!
This video is about to blow up the only difference is you just toss that old lock in the dumpster
No, I kept the old lock. S&G locks are dependable no matter how old they get.
does the securam have a universal backdoor code???@@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY
I had a S&G E lock that was eating batteries. Without using the safe at all, I would have to put a battery in once a month. Liberty sent me a Secure Ram and the instructions sucked. Thanks for the walk through
Do you still have those instructions? They just sent me a replacement secure ram with no instructions for replacing my failed one
I just had a Liberty presidential that the lock is still working the safe is 8 years old but the relocker locked and Liberty sent two lock smiths to verify the lock is still working and they agreed the lock was functioning properly so they sent another two guys out to get it open and functional and as we speak they are building me a new one and all the upgrades they have made since mine was built I am also getting all at no cost from me I love the warranty they have they even let me pick my color options because they don’t offer the exact color I had Liberty rocks solid product and great customer service
I agree, I really enjoy this safe and the new lock.
@@1SpudNuts1BigNasty-DIY I love the unconditional warranty it was a slight hassle on the phone but they were great to deal with am looking forward to getting my new presidential
Update? 😂
I changed my S&G Titan 2006 electronic out to a S&G manual. No backdoor unlock code. No lockout if a Carrington CME event ever happens. S&G told me their electronic locks are EMP resistance, but can't guarantee to that level to remain operational.
All electronic locks have a back door, it’s always been a last resort feature. You can’t protect yourself from every and any event, I’ve seen manual locks fail that required drilling. It’s just not a concern for me.
That safe is so easy to get into... Is the data processing done in the unit that's inside the safe or is that merely the motorized control? What data goes over those white wires? Is it digital and encrypted?
So, if it’s so easy, why all the questions? Seems that you got it all figured out.
It's my understanding that all the brains are on the inside portion. This keeps someone from bringing their own keypad, swapping them out, and using their's to get in your safe.
That's a commercial version of the battery.
Yep yep
would this install be the same for the presidential liberty safe .?
and Thank You for your time an instructions..
ciao for now >> tonyM
Should be, the safe’s may be different but the locking is pretty much the same. The only way to find out is open it and remove the door panel and take a look at what ya got.
Coukd I change my sg lock to another sg lock by myself?
You should be able to, it’s the same procedure.
