      Thanks for watching! We definitely discuss them both in another video. Two options on mechanical - call Liberty and ask them to delete the combo on file or have a locksmith swing by to reset the combo to a new number. Some people have been ordering a change tool and making the change themselves, as a locksmith I don’t recommend it since I’ve had to replace so many locks for customers that made a mistake trying themselves. In all fairness I understand some people are much mechanically inclined than others though.

It also provides instructions in Ch 7.2 on how to call Securam Tech Support and reset the entire lock via instructions over the phone. So...why does it kill my warranty? I have changed the master code and the user code. I understand that if I forget those codes I'm up a creek but why does it hurt my warranty? If a locksmith shows up to fix a bad lock I can provide them the master number. (Thanks for the video, I've been looking to have this question answered.) Additionally,

      Genuinely it’s new territory for safe manufacturers. I’m honestly with you on this because those are what I need in an attempt to troubleshoot. And if you have them I would be able to use the troubleshoots they would give me. I will say this, Liberty is the largest gun safe manufacturer on the planet and has predominantly lead the industry in being innovative and creating change, that said they’ve been working around the clock with lawyers to make all their policies better, tech companies to make their in house securities over master codes even stronger (which they do regularly) and PR firms to create the best strategies for responding to their customers new and old. I say all that to point out I don’t think they’ve laid out their concrete plans. I could be wrong and they may stay with this stance, but they’re obviously still working through everything. Stay tuned, man, could more to come and I’ll obviously keep educating.

    Awesome video, GREAT humor! Appreciate the honesty and info. 5 out of 5 stars!! But…….Two comments: 1. Why did you not put something on the floor to keep that door from swinging? (Or level the safe)? That was driving me nuts! Very annoying and distracting.
    2. You mention to folks to be careful when re installing the door screws to be careful and not go crazy. Now, I know you’re not a tool guy or a DIY tips person but two easy ways to help out with this (that you could mention if you felt so inclined) would be to put the screw most of the way in with the cordless and then tighten by hand or to set the clutch of the drill to a lower number. I know I know, this is not your department but you did get very detailed on taking the plastic caps off and if folks need that kind of detail to do that simple thing, then they are in trouble on replacing the screws for certain!
    Thanks again! Great video

When we deliver and install safes we level them. On the showroom floor though between the wood pallets and concrete floors this happens more than not and after 20 years of it I’m sort of numb to it. I apologize for the distraction, I can tell it drove you nuts! Hahaha.

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  Před 8 měsíci

      Again, you do not have to do this, it’s owner discretion. Pricing hasn’t change, I think that’s a Fatboy Jr XL in the video, so those are $2799 as of Nov-2023. And if you decide to opt out of the lock recovery program you still are eligible for the lifetime fire and burglar warranties. And very limited amounts of customers are opting out. Most people understand they greatly appreciate the assistance offered with leaving the lock recovery program as is and Liberty has publicly announce all their policy updates which are rightfully well improved.

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  Před 9 měsíci +2

      EMPs seem to render electronics useless. The lock would remain locked even if it wasn’t rated, it wouldn’t just unlock from EMP. Depending on your lock, a lot of them have a “EMP-RESISTANT ELECTRONIC LOCK” rating. They have a (RS105) EMP-test portion of MIL-STD 461F, so the locks are built to handle an EMP.
