I like counted, but I don't know that I need to see the dice rolls for priority. Just telling me good or bad wins is good enough.

Moria's army list is super cool with the big monsters. The Cave drake positioning was risky, maybe you should have waited one extra turn to have the goblins surround the cave drake to prevent trapping :o
You guys really put battle reports together well. You keep all the important info while cutting the chaff, getting it into a watchable length. You keep up the drama too with the commentary and the graphics. Most enjoyable battle reports I have found.

Ok I'll admit it, the drake on the thumbnail is his, but the rest of Moria is mine (contrast paint). The trick is to not have too many closeups I guess 😂

Hey guys! I absolutely loved your battle report! I think the graphics are great and it's really well edited together too. Think the rules notes are really helpful for me (who hasn't played MESBG for at least 15 years!) And thought all the commentary was really helpful too.

16:55 remember to check controls zones on supporting models! Hard to tell, but it looked like the bat swarm wouldn’t have been able to catch Gimli.
Good shout out! I agree that's probably something I should have measured out a bit more closely but if you look at 16:43, there was some empty space on the other side because the other warrior of the dead was in combat. So if anything I should have shifted the bat to the other side of Gimli but should still have been able to get into combat with him!

13:35 - why didn’t Aragorn combat? Strike/combat with both heroes to reverse into second drake? That would have also removed the risk of hurl.
You'll have to ask Marco, he was definitely playing a bit more conservative but I agree with you, with the amount of dice he was rolling (including Anduril) that was a guaranteed kill!

Love the graphics. I think more content creators should include these in their Battle reports. It's very useful keeping track of hero stats. I would suggest that any big game changing combats have some more focus. Would be good seeing live reactions of the players as the combat unfolds. I will be watching more of your videos. Keep up the good work!
Appreciate the feedback, Matthew! Focusing more on the big moments is something we'll definitely try to do more of, we already got two filmed/in the pipeline but will keep this in mind as we film the next one!

Couple of thoughts: at the end (when Gimli died), did the Cave Drake do both a barge and a rend in the same turn? I thought each monster could only do one brutal power attack per turn.
Also, I thought you said that good had more models in the center objective, but all the points went to Moria. I guess I’m confused.
Anyway, awesome stuff. Will be watching more of these.
Edit: I see the rend got addressed in another comment. And I think I misinterpreted what was said about the center objective

And yeah, at the end what we were trying to say was that Good was able to get most/all their models in the centre, but still slightly less than Evil.

A lot of amazing content and comments. Great stuff for a new player. If anything I'd like more. For example there was a comment that "a bat swarm and cave drake will kill anything", why? What's the combo, what do I need to worry abou or look out for? Thank y'all so much for amazing work!

As for the bat/cave drake combo, it's because the bat lowers the fight value of anything it fights in half. And with a maximum fight of 10, no hero can essentially get above fight 5 with the bat, and since a Drake's fight is 6, that's an automatic combat win if the bat/drake rolls a 6!
Sounds complex but it's straightforward once you play it a couple times, it also works with anything above fight 5!

Another great battle report! Always hard to win with army of the dead because of the low model count (also, for what it's worth, I think the Heralds of the Dead or Legolas are more useful in this list).
It’s tough being outnumbered, on top of the fact the enemy also has Fury. Agreed on the hero selection, and thanks for watching!

Can you call a Heroic Strike whilst the Hero isint even in melee?? it still uses Might even if a melee doesn't occur too right? 🤔

It’s one heroic action per phase, not per turn.
When cave drake 2 killed Gimli after the barge did you say he died to rending attacks? I is it not the case that you can't use brutal power attacks after a barge?
Great catch, you are correct Josh! I believe Charles may have meant it as the drake did most of the damage to Gimli through rend on the previous turn, otherwise he was incorrect .
The drake finished off Gimli's 1 wound with 10 dice needing 5s.

Probably bring a few more prowlers? Then the warriors have a bit more power to kill opponents heavily armed warriors
Thanks for the suggestion! Prowlers are really good but it's a balance to still get enough numbers and since I took 2 drakes, I didn't want to go too low on model count!
For these games, we don't know each other's armies or lists going in so I wasn't trying to build against AotD specifically, but rather go for something more well rounded.

What is a “kill box?”
Haven't rewatched this video in awhile but I assume we were talking about that batswarm combo with a monsters with at least Fight Value 6. If you can get a hero surrounded by at least these 2 models, it's almost always an instant kill, regardless of how tough the hero is.
