    Great Battle Report again!! 👏
    Lots of mistakes from Reyne unfortunately. I'm sorry mate. Don't leave your army leader so exposed. Especially when your army leader is just a model with 1 attack. In addition to that, when you know that there could be a heavy storm with the 3 chariots later, make sure that your fragile models are in terrain or are protected with orcs around it. Don't be afraid to spent might at maelstrom of battle scenarios. The mistakes start with the army list, why is the army leader alone in his warband? The Tainted can lead 15 troops, don't let a spellcaster with just 1 attack alone in the open field. Bad things will happen. Anyway I cheered for the Easterlings and Khand and Jordy like always kicked butt ❤️

Killing a ton of models for free and then relying on the Army Bonus to keep the game going, worst case, is a super successful plan to go into the game with.

    I love Khand with a passion but I think you’re playing too loose with the chariots pivot rule… some pivots looked way more than 45deg and sometimes it didn’t look like you went a full 3” before pivoting again from this angle. Not saying you messed it up. It just look like it from the camera angle and with how fast you were moving them. I personally get disputed all the time because of what you just did to that angmar army lol it will rip things to shreds so I take extra time to make sure I’m precise with my pivots and straight line movements. Also I don’t think there is any way a chariot can charge two models at the same time. It is almost impossible to do when moving at a straight line. Great job in using them strategy wise! They are amazing. Keep it up! You had my vote to win just because they are my favorite army. -Mitchell

      true, that felt a little lazy. With that ammount of chariots in the army a small 3" gauge aswell as a 45° tool should be in place. Ive seen it before, it is no big investment and can be played very fast while helping much with the precision. Its the least you can do for this angmar player. A combination of a well played game and a lucky one at the right times from the easterlings. 5+s only for maelstrom deployment plus two 6s to block the paralyse turned this into an extreme stomp rather than a solid victory.

    Very interesting battle report! I have a question for the easterling player. How this list can deal against monster or high Def infantry (like dwarves or mono eagles faction)? I'm an easterling player and I'm curious about this list.

    • @CapitanCorner
      @CapitanCorner Před 2 lety

      Well at 500 points you can play only a few toys. Jordys list has no hero with heroic strike and no models with fight 6 or higher. Therefore of course for example two mounted heroes with fight 6 could destroy the whole army and the Easterling Captains, Khandish Chieftain and also the elite troops can't do anything against it. I never play Khand or Easterlings without Amdur, Khamul or an Khandish King. The list needs at least one hero with heroic strike, somebody who can stop heroes with fight 6, attacks 3 for example. Also monsters, especially Gwaihir could destroy this army list. Some big heros will come in the tournament. It think that will bite Jordy in the butt later in the tournament 😂🤷‍♂️

    • @jordymoss1662
      @jordymoss1662 Před 2 lety +3

      Hey guys, Jordy from the vid.
      So Constantin is right; at 500 points most armies can afford a single F6+ hero, and even in doing so will sacrifice around 10 troops to do so.
      This list is fairly high numbers, the way it mitigates big heroes by having board control, preventing the big hero from getting where they want with bodies in the way. This list often just avoids them until victory/end conditions are met.
      Additionally Easterling pikeblocks are particularly good against large heroes as they only need to put a single model against them but still be able to throw 3 dice; against a mightless Aragorn for example they still have a decent chance at winning the fight. Whilst their big heroes are killing a single 9pt model per turn, the 18 troops i got in place of a big hero usually kill about 3 or 4.
      If versing an all monster army, its just play objectives. This list will do fairly poor generally against the ents or eagles; just try to flash kill them one at a time by focusing most of the army on one and trapping and hoping they whiff, whilst a handful of troops tie up the other grumbles. That'll likely fail so just control all the objectives as you break. Easterlings get C5 troops post break so they tend to do well at this.

    • @jordymoss1662
      @jordymoss1662 Před 2 lety +3

      And a note to high defence; never an issue for Easterlings, 3 dice chasing 6's is still close enough to a 50% to kill. Secondly Easterling captains have hand and a half axes, so can be S5 with +1 to ensure kills in any safe fight.
      And generally high D troops are at least somewhat elite; which again allows for numbers to compensate.

      @@jonathonking9643 the chariot movement though the models dont consider to be charging so they ignore the terror rule. they do need to pivot to be able to do there stuff so they are a huge weakness them self and there are really expensive for a warrior with a single wound at D4. the king is were the danger is really at but if even a single monster like a troll can get into him he is at great risk of dying then other heros for his cost. also reading the chariot, they are considered mounts so using rules that knock down your opponet you can easy remove them.
      so really there are a high offence high risk unit being the king only being the one that is the most dangerous. this match up was just bad starting phase which i think it was unsportsmen on them not telling the angmar player that they can do that turn one.

  • @giovdb
    @giovdb Před rokem

    The dice rolls were so one-sided this game. Crazy. Also, they really should change the rules so trampling can't happen as they're walking into the board. I mean, it's written as this movement is happening at the END of the move phase, not during, so they couldn't just say that trampling has to happen during the move phase, not END of the move phase.

    • @matthewkappos3602
      @matthewkappos3602 Před 2 lety

      @@TheDurinShow "a" d6 per Strike at the chariot model in my opinion. Same as if legolas were to fire 3 arrows at a chariot he would have to take 3 in the way checks not one.
      If you are fighting a combat against two models do you not say for example I am making one Strike at this guy and two Strikes at this other guy etc.
      When it says if you wish to Strike (capitalised) the chariot it means make one Strike against it as opposed to the literal meaning of strike (lowercase) as in just attack it. Each Strike is completely independent from the last. As such when you elect to Strike the chariot you are only using one attack on your profile and you roll one dice. If you want to use all your attacks then you would Strike the chariot 3 times and so roll "a d6" 3 times. One for each Strike.
      I will admit the iron hills chariot words this differently and specifically follows the method I just explained. I would attribute the difference to GW realising the wording was more confusing for khand and so fixed it in the hobbit book which I believe came out later?? ( was away from the game at the time so can't be certain)
      Don't see a reason why the two chariots would use different methods.

    I'm not really a MESBG player but watching this to try to learn the game. However, the chariot seems crazy over powered, it looked very unfun to play against. The chariot knocks enemies prone, wounds rather easily. It seems to do everything but fly and shoot lasers. The orc player was absolutely victimized by the deployment and some very poor dice rolls. The chariots + goofy deployment rules seem to have handed a super easy win to the Easterling player.

      Thanks for the comment. This game really wasn't great. The deployment in this game was very unbalanced for the army lists and the scenario. The deployment in this game is not the regular deployment for the game it's unique to the scenario. This was the most damage that a chariot could ever do.
      Over chariots are good but nothing to scary. If you want to see how they go I would recommend checking out Jordy's next game with them.

    going to be honest here. i know these are meant to be experianced players. but a rule like the chariots still being able to what they did on turn 1 should of been mentioned to him. looks a unsportsmanlike

      Thanks for the comment. I don't disagree, I think we got the balance wrong this first season with taking it to seriously. In the future we would avoid this

    Should we call an Angmar army, Angmar army without iconic profile and picks that make Angmar army diffirent then mordor or any orc army, Shade, Witch king, Gulhvar. This is just bunch of orcs with buhdur and barror wights. Just post to people that thinks angmar is weak, no it is not but he needs to be build diffrently and more iconic scarry profiles that people hate.

    Great batrep, but what a disappointing game! Some of the worst aspects of the game at play (IMO)

    I'll be honest: I stopped watching about eight minutes in. Another maelstrom scenario where victory is decided upon the first priority roll and the action takes place on the featureless sidelines of the board just doesn't make an entertaining battle report to watch, sorry.

      You missed some very clever tactics following that though. The easterling player did a lot of work to really mitigate any potential failures which worse players wouldn't have done.
