As a norwegian and a "bergenser", I'm actually really impressed by your pronunciation, especially the western and northern pronunciation! I find it so cool listening to Americans talk Norwegian bc I know that the english language doesn't have the rolling 'r' or scarring 'r'. Keep up the good work, bc your norwegian is really good, mate!

Very impressed by your pronunciation skills. Most immigrants in Norway are planets away, hard to understand mostly any of them if they try to speak Norwegian. All Americans I`ve met and heard in Norway has this typical American accent. You did not, which I find very impressive.
There`s one thing I would like to add when it comes to dialects, Norway has one of the shortest distance per dialects in the world. That basically just means dialects in Norway varies very quickly. A short ride and you can hear clear differences. One good example would be, but far from unique, from Kristiansand (where I am from) to Vennesla, a 12 minute drive and you actually need to listen closely to understand what`s being said. The difference could be compared to Norwegian/Swedish, with many different words and a clear difference in accent. But you actually don`t need to drive 12 minutes, 5-15 minutes in whatever direction you drive out from Kristiansand and it`s already accepted as a different dialect, and in some cases the accent is noticeable different too. This is more or less common throughout most of Norway, with the Greater Oslo Region being the only exception, even though there are differences there as well.

If you have to generalize it then there are 4 main groups, North Norwegian (nordnorsk), Trøndelag Norwegian (trøndersk), West Norwegian (vestnorsk), and East Norwegian (østnorsk). Sometimes.
But still inside those 4 are 50+. there is so much variation it's ridiculous.

I come from the mid part of Norway (Trøndelag) and we can have a really broad dialect if you know what i mean. Some people can have a broader dialect than other for example.
    English: My name is Leif.
    Eeastern norwegian: Jeg heter Leif.
Not so broad trøndersk: Æ heite Leif.
More broad trøndersk: Æ hæte Læf.
That didn't have so much to do with the video but i thought it would be fun to tell you a little about from where i come from:)

Northern you don't use "kommer" we say "kjæm" in most of the parts.
Like "æ kjæm fra Bergen", or some would say "kommer", but not chop it in half and say "kom", "kom" means come, not been or coming from.
