- This performance was recorded at The Close Up Show and feature an all Card act.
The Act features routines I would normally share in a social setting not a formal professional show. This was a small audience and perfect for intimate close up magic. I was not in the mood to play Big. So I sat with the audience, invited them to come in close which made for a really intimate experience of magic. It was a lot of fun.

Michael, this is so wonderful. I actually think the audience was not the easiest to deal with at various stages of your show... but you handled them as well as you handled your cards, if not even better. The way you built rapport with them as you performed each trick was brilliant to watch. This wasn’t just a lesson in sleight of hand...but in the skill of showmanship. Absolute gold.
Thank you Rehan. This was a tricky night to navigate because I did not perform my normal act. It was a small group - about 8 people and I just felt my normal show have been too high tempo for such and for such a intimate number. The key word is, intimacy. I decided to play small but with no loss of impact. My energy was slightly under the radar of the group. I could feel the apprehension from them. I knew they would warm up, I was just hoping they would warm up before my last routine. The key point in this unscripted act was the dialogue between me and the lady. You cannot prepare for that kind of interaction. My experience saved me. I appreciate your kind words, thank you🙏🏽

I’ve just got the Synergy dvd and I love it. Truly wonderful. The only thing is that I don’t know how to do the 6 packet cut in the Tipsy T effect and although it’s shown, it’s not explained. Please can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

@@sharinganeye3000 Maybe swaps the two bent up cards as he lifts and turns it to toss the contents out of the box. Which would be insane sleight of hand because you CAN'T mess that up. That's a palm give and take on the highest level.

%90 amazing and unbelievable. %10 there he goes switching cards in plain sight visible from a mile away in giant suspicious movements. Love your work anyway. The best part was your explanation of why you do what you do for a living. The answer is rarely "not for the money" and for that you have everyones utmost respect.
I simply can not understand why in every performance I have seen Michael do either here or at the Magic Castle, the people he is performing in front of are the dullest group of audience members I have ever seen. Why do they even show up if they can't pay attention with even a modest amount of concentration and/or expression?
