- Daniel Kahneman shot to fame in 2002 when he won the Nobel prize in economics for his work on the psychology of human judgment and decision-making. His first book, Thinking, Fast and Slow, was a worldwide bestseller and set out his revolutionary ideas about how human error and bias can be recognised and mitigated. Now Kahneman is back with an acclaimed follow-up, Noise: A Flaw in Human Judgment, in which he sets out how businesses and governments can make smarter, swifter and more accurate decisions in our increasingly frenetic world.
In May 2022 Kahneman came to the Intelligence Squared stage for a rare live event in the UK - his first since 2014 - alongside his co-author Olivier Sibony. Together they argued that the key to creating successful organisations lies in reducing ‘noise’, defined as unwanted variability in human judgment. They set out a strategy for how we can identify bias and human error in organisations and implement a noise reduction strategy to correct it. They also examined the rise of artificial intelligence and discussed what this will mean for the future of decision-making. Sad to say we’re going to miss Dr Kahneman’s simplicity in explaining complications of human mind and Decision making!
His books are probably the only ones I've actually read. Life changing for sure.
Rest in peace sorry I discovered him after his death. Deep thinking at its deepest.
Firstly why only 7 comments. These books are life changing.
Also the first rhing I tough of Is exactly the reason Ai should be used. Humans are more influenced and bias . Surely by now data bases are even more varied.

Dr Professor Daniel Kahneman will be aligned in our mindmappping for centuries and centuries. So, physically he is absent, spiritually he is and will be there for a long périod of time. Go directly to Paradise, and rest in peace, observing us.
That was pretty good Dr. Kahneman is as sharp as ever- also it’s the first time in a long time he didnt take a pot shot at Donald Trump or Republicans. Thank goodness.

Sad he's gone. This was like an indirect analysis of 4th wave feminism and wokeism
The guy was wack. He created a mob of people against intuition with his false premise and strawman. He is responsible for the 'bias bias' in behavioural economics. Gerd Gigerenzer tears him apart. I won't wish CON-eman him a peaceful rest.
