😂👍
The Kit Kat part is so good for magicians because they see the indent in his pocket and assume it's another deck he will swap at some point. He's performing in front of a group of magicians so imagine their surprise when they pegged another deck in his pocket and he pulls out a candy bar.
only thing to be said is bisiquak and asulipund McWigwam. really.
I did this act on FOOL US - I will publish it the 7 April ⌚️ cheers !
This act, and a bit more...
Brilliant! Such a good climax
When I first watched this, I could not understand why it was so great. It seems so unimpressive. The past 3 days though, the layers upon layers upon layers of the most pure magical genius are being slowly revealed to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH! It is by far the single most masterful performance I've ever seen, well done Sir.
One of the best acts EVER on P&T. So funny. Brilliant!
The bumbling, disorganized schtick is so impressive. This guy is on a whole different level from other magicians. Absolutely brilliant in technique and showmanship.
True genius, his style can disguise any small hiccups or slips.. Very entertaining.
Fr
I actually can’t stand it. It’s so cringy and forced and just not funny. It takes away from the magic.
He not a magician at all, he is a comedian and presentator for television
he copied lennart green
The contrast of what appears to be chaotic with the absolute control of the deck is what makes it completely magical.
This guy started from the bottom to achieve this level, he was doing Magic trick in all parcs of my city for a bit of money or food and now seeing that he went that far is astounding
Really great guy, round of applause for him
Incredible.

Je l'ai vu il y a quelques années où je trouvais ses tours cools et je m'étais abonnée
Je viens de voir qu'il était champion du monde
Incroyable 🎉
For me, a regular dude, to be impressed is one thing. It's quite another to have a crowd full of magicians explode in applause.
The best impersonation of a "bad magician" to disarm everyone and run a masterclass under their noses. So good.
I kinda felt personally attacked, but damn if his moves werent smooth.
@@oz_jones What?
Not really.. the best in this kind of scenario is lennart green.. this one is really good but not the best
@icestem Exactly, I was surprised no one point it out. It is clear that this man has deeply studied Lennart Green and Dani Daortiz, and technically he has solved all the problems in the routine, but what gives you this performance? Honestly, it seems like an attempt to be as funny and messy as Dani Daortiz or Lennart Green and failing in both, mainly lacking originality and stage presence.
@@jorgedavid2568 Sometimes it is a joy when someone with such a take is clearly in the minority. And since performance art is mainly subjective, the fact that most (yes most) people disagree with you means that by applying your own metric you are wrong. That must be embarrassing for you, to accidentally defeat your own argument. Cheers.
The timing and the body language of that final reveal is that of someone that is an absolute BOSS.
Just absolutely spectacular. Lennart Green must have been such an inspiration. Awesome to see his chaotic style of magic continue in a young magician with the same skill and showmanship. Very well done.
Indeed! I too was reminded of Lennart Green. Always loved Lennart's performances. So happy to see new talent pursuing a similar path. Congratulations on your win @Markobi
Its certainly an hommage
Totally lennart green. He even sounds like him.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch.
He said there wasn't a thing that lennart green did that he does in his routine. Just that it's both messy. He said from a technical point he learned the most from Dani DaOrtiz
Catching the "move" on the final queen, only to have him completely stun you when he reveals his hand is just utter brilliance knowing who he is performing in front of. The roar of the crowd when he shows both his hands before the final queen is something that must have sent chills up his spine knowing how long he has practiced this routine. As an amateur card magician, just awesome to watch!
the fake palm is insane, and the acting is so well done, the way he looks at the person sitting on his right, it's like "I know you saw it, but what did you really see" right? Everybody knows he is too good to pull such a childish move but I bet very few thought he will show a simple empty hand as first move to the grand finale. It's very well put together.
Time stamp for the person on his right?

Everything here is so brilliant and calculated that it hurts. This is so incredible, I'm mad at you. Markobi... sir.. you're already like..5 steps a head of everyone before you even set foot on stage. The handling.... the freaking handling... and you just.. right in front of everyone. This was beautiful to watch and experience. Bravo, sir... This is a tour-de-force in misdirection and card handling.
This is the best way to describe it. I don't understand a tenth of whats happening and that makes it all so much more impressive.
Two words Shin Lee
What a bs. Srsly. He is funny but that's all. Marked cards, let's them fall so cheaply, prepares his cards he is going to pick so easily. Just distracts u with cheap Jokes.
But the accent is nice
@@oimelgoimel 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@oimelgoimel You know knowing about what just happened if you think this is the method.
What I love about this, as a non-magician, nor magic appreciative, is the absolute positivy of the comments section. I enjoyed watching it, but this is one of those situations where not having knowledge of the thing you are watching reduces your a appreciation of how difficult it is. Reading your comments about how fantastic and difficult this is made me enjoy it more. So even though this was Markobi's masterclass, you should all take a bow for how brilliantly supportive and positive you are as a community.
Tbh, I didn't enjoy the performance, although I can appreciate the difficulty... I just think it lacks class. I think the acting was a bit redundant, too. It's funny to open your show by acting like a newbie with no control over what's happening, but after the first reveal it quickly becomes tiring. I find that the whole "I'm too bored to care, and I don't have time for this" attitude is exhausting too. I think he could have balanced his clumsy act by sprinkling in a few flashy moves, that would have made an eye-catching contrast.
You don't have to understand how difficult it is to appreciate it. Just let yourself get caught up in the act and enjoy the magic.
@@EugeneOneguineso my cousin know him and said me it's not a character, he is like that
@@francoiszutter253 Well, that's even more disappointing.
Well said. He deserves every bit of praise. Some of the moments were so incredibly brave that I’m just not sure how he convinced himself to perform them here in front of a room full of magicians.
The highest praise I can give is to say Markobi is like the Columbo of Magic, he bumbles through the routine and you think he's not getting anywhere..... then BAM, he's got you exactly where he wants you.
That last queen reveal is just sublime.
Exactly. You look at the cards and he has messed up the smaller piles into one large pile and she picks one out.
And he even offers the switch. Which Penn at a different show took, but the outcome was still the same.
I for one plainly don't understand what's going on. Awesome 😂
Not when all the face down cards on the table are the queen with his scribble on it. Any card she touched would be the card. Which is why it worked on Penn and Teller fool us when Penn switched his choice.
@@lennon1252 The only thing I noticed in the Fool Us routine (thanks to the magic of video) was that the card originally signed was not the one that showed up later.
The seeming chaos of this performance is so obviously, elegantly designed and deployed, I'm beyond words. Like Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean, it tastes a true master to perform an act in an amateurish way professionally. Beautiful work.
Ps noticed the no name chips, Canada represent 🤭
LOL!! I noticed those too. I'd recognize that yellow anywhere.
"Canada represent'?
Pfffft. They weren't even ketchup flavored!
I remember seeing Lennart Green doing this type routine 30 years ago and I'm still blown away. It's unlike anything else. The brilliance in the chaos is breathtaking!
Yes ! Me too !!!!!! See Lennart Greeen Master files ! Amazing !
Guess who is "his uncle" but "not realy his uncle" that told him how "tonfind lady" 🎉🎉🎉 😂🤣😂 His act his full of references to other masters, the judges must have got the hints clear and loud 🥂
Designed intentionally to be messy, scatter-brained, non-linear, anti-climactic, casually irreverent, grunge-style magic - that turns out to be SHEER BRILLIANCE, and a performance displaying skills that the great Richard Turner would be proud of no doubt 👏👏👏
Excellent performance!! 👍☺️🏆
Even the broken English works for him, bumbling words and making no-sense. His messy style can disguise any small hiccups or slips. Brilliant!
It's on old technique. One description is called "putting on the flake."

I was very blessed to share a dinner with this extremely humble and really down to earth guy. He showed me some incredible routine and wow he is a genius and the best part of the evening, was not discovering that he is a great magician, but that what you see is his true person. So so great
The last trick had me dying haha. Fake-palming is so next level hahahaha
Amazing performance!!!!!! 😁👍
How'd he do the last part?
@@QuickMadeUpName he got 1 card under his palm and changes it when the woman put the card on his hand (i guess lol - it's so quick) sry for my bad english
@@LuizCarlosLirio Yeah at @9:07 something is definitely going on with the card she puts in his hand, he does some kind of manouver and it appears for a moment there are two cards in his hand. But you can see his open palm beforehand--what do you mean when you say he has something under his palm? There's nothing apparently there. I start thinking gimmicked cards but that seems outside the spirit of the illusion. I even start thinking like... some kind of really amazing fake skin on his hand but again... that feels disappointing if it's the trick and usually when I find out how a really good trick is done I'm not disappointed.
@@krisrhodes5180 I don't know how it's done, but if you go frame-by-frame at 9:10, you can see the underside of the card very quickly and it has a black Q and the queen's head, while she's still holding on to it. She put the right card in his hand.
@@poika22 I think the important part of the last trick happens early on when he scribbles all over the signature, so that the signature gets lost making the card very hard to tell apart from another queen with scribbles on. Maybe all the cards with the back side up in the end is queens with scribble on?
I'm not a magician, but a big fan of card tricks & sleight of hand. Watching a few seasons of Penn & Tellar, I have picked up a very small amount of cues and what to focus on when tricks are being performed. I would again like to reiterate that I am in no way a showman, magician or have any skills in sleight of hand... but even after 10 times of watching the final affect, I have zero idea how this was done... and I love that! I appreciate there will be a lot of people who watch this and can figure moves, manipulation and probably some kind of suggestion, but everything here was amazing!
This routine will never get old and will be watched in 100 years from people with the same stunned faces. Well done!
I haven't seen any of your work before but this was a spectacular performance. Congratulations you deserved the win here.
The fake palming at the end and the gotcha and the final reveal... The crowd went wild.
I rewatched this part twice and I'm going to rewatch it again
Bravo à toi
The fake palm was so good. So good.
Whats a fake palm?
@@stefanosantini196 at the very end of the routine, he's cupping his hand near his face after doing something sort of fishy with the cards. This was intentional, and leads anybody expecting such things to believe that he's hiding a card in that hand. Then he waits a minute and points with his hand open essentially telling anybody who thought he was palming a card that they are wrong. That was a gift for The magicians in the audience which for that performance was everyone.
I watched that last bit multiple times and every-time it didn’t even look like he took a card, I was wondering why the crowd went wild when it was seemingly so obvious?
Actually it was not a fake. If you watch the pick up at 0.25 speed until he opens his hand you may see something very interesting with his mouth.
What I find extreme was the "technical part"😂
This is by far the most impressive card performance i have ever seen.🎉👏
Shin Lim and Eric Chien exist, you know? 😊
@@AleksandarIvanov69everybody has his own taste
The laser deal is also great
when the crowd laughed at the blatant palm, screamed in excitement that it wasnt there, and roared at the final reveal i screamed right along with them
It was obvious because of the tone that he was messing with the audience. It was funny because of the tongue in cheek of "you know I want to look like a dummy but I'm messing with you". Not because it was really looking like a bad palm
He is clearly a fan of Lennart Green, awesome performance.
Took the words right out of my mouth, loved it
He's not a fan he IS lennart green
Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness.
God is three in one; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him!
As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him.
Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. They know not God, read his word, and their religion is in vain. Do not hear them, they will mislead you, the lost cannot guide the lost.
When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE!
Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals!
The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil.
I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God.
Absolutely. Thought this after 5 seconds of this video
How is that even possible to be that much funny and that much talented, congrats Marc 🔥
The reaction of the magicians in the crowd key you in on when the final move is done. It's the most beautiful pass I've ever (not) seen and absolutely earned him the title.
Pleeeeaase tell me what second you’re talking about here - I couldn’t notice any of the crowd giving anything away at all…
The crowd we assume being at FISM did not react to his obviously over the top palm being fake but the fact he did move with his other hand that was out in the open yet still invisible. Not versed enough in Green to know the transposes but I would bet you will find it in his works since this is a clear tribute.
I've rewatched it seven times. What pass?
@@koorssgamer Me too. I don't see anything either.
You can go frame by frame when the spectator puts the card in his hand. It looks _very_ much like the signed queen of clubs. Or are you talking about something else?
Absolutely incredible. The self deprecating and sloppiness only adds to the genius. Outstanding.
I love this Columbo-esque style of magic. Brilliant routine and well-deserved title.

Funniest routine ever! Saw it on Penn and Teller and laughed out loud. Same here!! Fabulous!
Magnificent performance and magic Markobi! Wow!! Every single magicien on this planet, except maybe for the Professor, is inspired by previous masters and, after Dani Daortiz, you are the only one I know who masters and uses with suitability the legendary Lennart Green’s Chaos. All this with your own personality and style. This is the very magic I was expecting since a long time (since Daortiz actually). Cannot wait to see more works of yours and to see you on stage as almost everyday watching your FISM performance with my height years old son make our days more magical. And this is what we all expect from an artist. From Paris, bravo l’artiste!
That ending reveal was insane!!!!! You can hear all the magicians absolutely blown away like a sports game!!
Ending was actually very straightforward: he washes a small bank just within her reach and washes the rest of the cards out of her reach.
For half a second he wanted to interrupt her (..."but..") because he saw she was aiming for the revealed or quite far card. When she took one of the washed cards he stops and just says "yes yes"...
@@dominikschommer7209 what does washing mean in this context? They cant all be signed queens right ?
@@LeOssiTrollterrible not all of them, but the signed card was a messy scribble. So while we are assuming he had a normal deck, it's likely that all of the face down cards that were close enough for her to reach were that same card with a big scribble on it. His base deck was very likely heavily stacked with queens that he used his messy shuffling to hide. you strategically see a couple of non queens that he leaves visible.
@@Derrythe01 that makes sense but he never drew a queen of the same color twice so even if its all queens he still has to know which are which

Absolutely the most enjoyable card routine I have ever seen.
Amateur, clumsy and in full control of the deck, the crowd and 2+ million viewers' brains, throughout his whole routine. Astonishing!
At the end, asking if she wanted to change what card the picked, has to be one of the hardest lines in magic history. That was brilliant.
Wanted to say the same. That cheer/applause/gasp from the crowd really said it too. Insane to offer that though I wish she did change. So wild
@@vick7848 actually, the offer to change is not what made the audience go crazy, it's the fact that when he put his hand to his chin, the "cheap" trick for beginner magicians is to hide a card in their hand, so that's why people laughed when he did that, but a few seconds later when he offers to change and, more importantly, reveals that there is nothing in his hand, that's when the audience realizes he is just next level ! :)
@@MartinPerrierCoaching thankyou for explaining this! ☺️
Towards the end when he asked the person to pick one card and he kept his hand on his chin I thought the cards must be in his palm but when he removed the hand and said “Do you wanna change?” it gave me goosebumps.

Him revealing his empty palm was a 4d chess moment
Absolument fantastique! J'ai eu la chance d'être présente lors de ses prestations à FISM. Markobi est incroyable! 🤗
So hilariously entertaining. I'm not a magician but was thinking that after he put the deck behind him on his left side at 5:41 and then brought it back, he just needed to control the first three queens as every other card not turned over was a queen of clubs with an indistinguishable scribble on it. Note, in the first desk you saw the faces. In the second deck, only a few random spilled cards had their faces shown before the three queens and the final reveal. I could be wrong but either way, takes nothing away from such an incredible performance to make it look like a total mess when all along it was clearly controlled.
I had a friend at the event that said the deck was given to him at the start of the trick, it was not one that he brought. that doesnt mean he didnt switch it obvioulsy but i dont know, im inclined to think it was legit. ending seems to perfect tho.
I AM a (albeit fairly beginner) magician and I’ve watched this routine so many times and it never occurred to me that he was taking a different deck out. But it’s obvious now that you’re correct. Flew by me because every time he did that trick, as a magician I was instantly thinking ‘oh he’s doing the one where he takes the whole deck whilst pretending to just palm off a card’ (as it’s a common phase of a card to pocket trick that all magicians know’
Oh my god I didn't even realize that. He had the kit Kat in his pocket at the start to make ppl think it was a deck but wasn't, so nobody is thinking he has an actual 2nd deck in his back pocket instead of the front one.
And she doesn't even actually sign it at the start he grabs the marker and scribbles but you think it's signed.
absolutely amazing, you truly earned the right to be the #1 card magician.
I love this guy's clumsy, chaotic style. Super funny and good magic.
