You know you've hit it big as a brand when there's an exclusive catalogue with all the merchandise
Oh yeaj âșïžâșïž
To be honest.... I never really paid attention to the whole Pizza Points thing because I was the kid that ripped the packages open just to get to the toys lol. The only clubs I joined was the Burger King kids club and Fox Kids club for the magazines đđđ
Me too just ripping everything breaking the boxes đ
I did not paid attention because in my country they were useless đ„Č
That metallic Leo/Don... thatâs a Grail item for sure! đ
They don't appear to be particularly uncommon.
Yeah theyâre not too tough to find đ
@@EdsRetroGeekOut Nice đ itâs awesome when thereâs enough around to enjoy âïž
I've seen the Leo, didn't know there was a Donnu.
I'm 41, and this is literally the *FIRST* im seeing of the Pure Black Super Shredder Variant figure! i want one now!! i always loved the playmates Super Shredder anyway, but that one looks even cooler! "i mean, of course. Black makes everything look cooler. especially NINJA's!"
Couldnât agree more buddy đ
TMNT is magnectic to collect dude!!
Great video as always! đ
Thanks đ€đ
how amazing would it have been if pizza points just got you free pizza, like i would have been super psyched.
They could have made a deal with dominoâs or pizza hut đ€©đ€
I still have my 5th anniversary Leonardo collectorâs addition
Awesome đ€
I always saved my pizza points, but never got anything with them. Theyâre all still in a bag Iâve saved over the years.
When I seen that tmnt calculator....you know what was playing in my head "you can count on us" đ đ đ€Łđ€Łđđđ
Haha đ€Ł
the "tubular tabulator" would be fitting if will have Donatello in it
Indeed đ€©
Awesome video ive always been curious what the pizza points could get you.
Thanks for watching đ€©
I didn't know the Boyardee Shredder was available through the fan club too. Weirdly enough I won one in a raffle last week! I never thought I'd see that figure in person.
Awesome win dude! đ€©
Love it ! PIZZA POINTS!đđ
I got Muckman through the points! I actually got a few figures by taking all the points off the figures on shelves.lol
@@robd1329 I never used the points. I wanted too but I loved the card art. Same with the flag points from gi joe. I should have used them, since I don't have any of the packaging now lolđđ
I remember the pizza point promotion. My dad would never let me or brother send in for stuff cause he said it was a waste of time.
I always got the âitâs a scamâ rant lol
đ„Č shame but yeah you werenât getting a lot of value for the points tough
Had to share. My son is an adorable 4 year old and every garage sale some one gives him a toy. A few months back someone gives him turtle bowls. I know thet a tmnt but after research from 1990 that sell in the 25-30 range each. She gave him 5.
Thatâs awesome đ€© college fund!
4:36 third one down on the far right looks like a bong đ€Ł
Cowabunga dudes!
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Anyone else in the UK who will always refer to them as Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles? đ
Another awesome video dude! I miss my old Turtles Toys. One of my grails is the TMNT movie figures by Neca. I never saved up for the mail aways, but I had a lot of toys anyway.
I still have all 4 of the fan club headbands mint. I donât wear them and they have never been washed. They look amazing
I got 2 Muckman figures
Awesome you have those bandanaâs đ€©
Dam! I had all the tmnt fan club stuff. I remember them like it was yesterday.. I miss my childhood playing with my tmnt toys
Awesome you had all that đ€©
I have such a nice memory of the line. I lived in Brazil and I was about 6yo, there was this store that sold imported stuff and there it was, Leonardo. I couldnt buy it but my brother and I together could. What a blast it was playing with him and his armadillo, pizza, etc. I couldnt speak English so I thought pizza points could be traded by real pizza, that would come by mail but my parents convinced me it would only work in the US. Until Today I thought of pizza by mail until your explanation of the pizza points, thanks but sorry they come by mail :P Have fun!
Thanks buddy đ€
I remember here in Germany there was a "Masters of the Universe" Kids Fan Club. It calls the "Masters Abenteuer Club" which means "Masters Adventures Club" and you get an Member Card and a Large blue Organizer Book with lot of extras. It was Awesone
Thatâs awesome always wondered if motu had a fan club
Great memories and old school merch! Love the golden Leo too
Golden leo đ„
I had the metallic Leo and got it in the store at KB Toys. Still have it too.
Looks valuable now
Awesome đ€
I wish I had half of the TMNT toys that I owned as a child. But as a teenager I had the dumbass thought of toys were for 6 to 10 year old kids and tossed everything into the garbage. After blowing them up with fireworks or melting them together with other action figures. Classic TMNT cartoons are by far the one cartoon I have never been tired of.
I had the opposite experience as a teen- hanging onto these toys longer than I was "supposed to". Then my mom donated most of them anyway.
I had completed forgotten I was part of the TMNT fan club. I remember having some of that merch.
Such a nostalgia trip.
Awesome thanks for watching đ€đ€
Great video Ed! You put a lot of work into these and the end video always delivers. I have a few of these items like the gold Leo, newsletters, Xmas catalog and membership card. Looks like thereâs a lot more to find lol.
Thanks buddy oh those letters must be fun to look through now đ€©
I've still got the TMNT Christmas bulb. We hang it on the front of the tree every year to this very day.
Awesome đ€©
6:28 You could get the bandana in multiple colors, blue, orange, red or GREEN? No love for my favorite turtle Donatello, where's the purple?
Purple as well
When I was 4 or 5 my friend left his TechnoDrone outside so I snagged it. Kids mom called the police and they came to our house to get it lol my bad Cody
Honestly, that was a brilliant video, thank you for these Ed.
Thanks for watching đ€©
I remember my grandmother cutting off and saving EVERY SINGLE proof of purchase/point tag from my collection, which consisted of the entire Real Ghostbusters, TMNT, GI Joe and Masters of the Universe toy lines, promising that they would be good for something eventually...and then never sending them in for anything at all, finally losing the three giant coffee cans she had spent years hoarding them in. I felt like a kid who had been lied to and swindled by an octogenarian, but I couldn't be too upset because she and my grandfather had spent years putting those collections together for me as they released, making phone calls, showing up to stores when they opened, having uncles in other states track down hard-to-find toys/vehicles/playsets/etc. I would be curious to know how many points each complete toy line would net you if you clipped them all. Would it be enough to buy one of every item offered? Knowing how many points I never got to cash in, as I had the UPC/PoP from every toy in those complete lines, would be an interesting bit of personal trivia. This was another great geek-out, Ed!
Thanks for watching buddy đ€đ
I can't believe that I never did anything with my Pizza Points...đ€Šđ» I could've had soooooo much awesome stuff...đŻâ
Yeah i wish i got serious about my pizza points back in the day as well đ„Č
My vintage stock is selling some of these and it just makes me say thank goodness it's called vintage stock for a reason they once sold the old mobile base
The golden age!
Didn't know about that gold version Leonardo figure. They should of done it with the others as well.
They did have a 5th anniversary target exclusive 4pack windowbox with all 4 turtles
Love the show! Still have the mail away Christmas ornament I hang on the tree every year :)
Thatâs awesome đ
I wonder how much that golden leo goes for now,. it must be worth a fortune.
I remember getting a few special figures from GIJoe using their points. I had a couple of super soldiers which were point exclusives.
Heâs actually not such a big deal moneywise or demandwise đ€
Really, really enjoy these videos! Keep up the good work mate!!!đđ
Thanks đ€đ
The 2013 Muckman was advertised on card packs for a while in the 2013 series this explains why i never saw it in stores because that offer did not Exist in UK or Europe. Yet they was a few colour variants in 2 packs only sold in UK like the Black Body Pink armed 2013 Mutagen Man. Yet the last wave of 2013 figures was mostly recolours and I belive was never sold outside US.
Just found this channel. Couple of cool TMNT videos. Really dig them and sharing to the group I help run
Awesome video! This is the next best step to going back in time. I still have some of those things.
Thanks for watching đ€
I have the stuffed Donatello, it was a Goodwill find! đ
Awesome đ
Never Pay Full Price for Late Pizza!!!!!
I was a Turtle Force member. And even they sent me stuff LONG after my membership lapsed. Like a new bandana every year for six years when I only paid once.
I honestly never knew Pizza Points existed. I don't know why. I don't remember ever noticing it on the packaging when I was a kid. I don't remember anybody talking about it at school either. This was interesting and good. I can see Super7 doing the 5th anniversary Leonardo but I don't know if they would do him in chrome. The GITD Muckman is pretty cool. It would be cool to do a collection update. I would love to see how the Gameboy collection is coming along? Also, the NES collection :)
Sup7 5th anniversary leo đ€©đ€©đ€©đ€Żyes!!
I Honestly don't think I have heard of Pizza Points Before nor of the TMNT Club, it's either it some how wasn't available in Canada or I just haven't paid much attention to it.
I've always wondered about these things I remember seeing them on my toys when I was a kid never knew nothing about them never really thought that's my parents about your body which I probably should have but I don't think they would have figured it out either but I wish I would have known about this this day and age with the knowledge I have now I would have totally took advantage of it but too little too late still it's kind of curious and cool to hear that they did this with a toy at one point they really should do stuff like this more often
I was wondering about it so made a video on what I could find đ€
I remember collecting them, however, I donât believe I ever end up actually do anything with them
That 5th Anniversary Leo was on shelves at discount type stores (anyone in Canada remember Saan stores?) where I lived for a long time ha I remember looking at it and thinking this is dumb I canât even play with it so I bought a storage shell Donnie for like half price if I am not mistaken. I distinctly remember this because we had just moved to a new province, and the lady gave me too much change back and my mom made me go back and give it back haha
Awesome đ€©
i still have my blue handkerchief but that all that remains of my club membership
Awesome đ€đ€đ€
I was in that fan club. All lost to time.....thanks for the nostalgia trip!
I still have the stuffed turtles from the pot pie mail away
I have a few Boxes still in good shape, & flyers, I only got one VHS tape. bebop & rocksteady one. Still have it as of today.
I across the Christmas bulb in a box and i think i gave it away at a yard sale.
I mean at least someone else had fun with it.
Great video!!! Turtle Power!
I did join the GI Joe fan club and that had awesome toys
They had i think the most extensive fan club and mail away program đ€
Great video Ed!!
Thanks buddy đ€
Another amazing video! đ„łđ€©
Thanks đ€
I had that gold Leonardo Playmates statute thing. I bought it because I had hoped you could remove his weapons as I wanted those weapons for my Leonardo figures. As those weapons are how they should have been on the original figure. Though it looked like they were either glued to his hand or molded to his hand and I didn't want to bother trying to cut the hand off the body and grinding down to the sword handle.
Awesome!
I always wondered what you could use those pizza points for.
Me too thatâs why i made the video đ€
@@EdsRetroGeekOut đđ»đđ»
That purple dragon comic is interesting, considering they only appeared in the first issue of the original comic at that point, if I am not mistaken
Yeah indeed
Take a shot every time he says tubular! đ
Really enjoy your videos thank you for bringing some enjoyment into my life
Thanks for watching đ€
I wonder if any kids ate master splinters favorite food sushi đŁ off those awesome tmnt plates . I mean pizzas awesome but my bro and I like sushi as well.
I ate sushi and loved it đ€©
This was a great video. And im not even done yet.
Thanks for watching đ€
@@EdsRetroGeekOut no no, thank YOU for supplying us with amazing videos! đ
The guy with the juice box looks like the lil dude from the deadpool movie
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
only watched the cartoons and the movies, i never had any of the toys....
don't recall asking for them either..... i did however have a knitted TMHT sweater,
and a normal TMHT t-shirt, after the turtle craze came the MMPR craze for me....
early '90s was all about TMHT, MMPR, Lego, and the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Aw yeah
If I'd have known about these pizza points when I was younger.
The Rise of the TMNT fan club Muckman was cool, but I sent in for the complete turtles set, they have painted weapons and extra paint deco that was not on the retail versions.
Indeed đ
@Ed's Retro Geek Out I mean why not extra paint deco, I would like to know how many sets of those are in circulation.
I saved them up but never sent away for anything. I found THE MOTHERLODE in my motherâs closet. I guess Iâll keep it as a memento.
This must've been when the line was slowly dying I don't recall the pizza points when I would buy the toys weekly at True Value & none ever had pizza points
Great video
Need that metallic leo. No I don't. Yes I do.
Yes you do!
Really interesting video! Great job
Thanks buddy đ€
I was such a collector that I didnât want to damage the backing by cutting out the points
Im glad not everybody cut them out indeed đ€
Damn I used to have that bandanna and I'm pissed I don't have it any more but I still got my beat up leo poster
Awesome đđ€
Just love your channel. And TMNT
Thanks a ton!
Interesting and cool Video. Nice
Thanks đ€
I still have the collector coins set
I'm sorry, but Transformers did the whole points thing better, as you could get actually exclusive toys that they never sold in stores.
They also made toys that didnât sell well mail away exclusives later đ good way to clear stock
đ transformers đ
Have you ever done a video on the Small Soldier movie toys? I feel like no one talks about that movie anymore and I had a ton of the action figures when I was little and it was a favorite movie of mine and the toys were awesome.
Not yet but i love that movie and the toys
I still have my tmnt patches!!!
I had hundreds of pizza points from TMNT stuff, but since none of these rewards were toys, I would not have cared about them.
Only 1 actual toy đ„Č hasbro and kenner was way better
Had that gold leo. I ripped it off the stand and played with it. Lol.
Yikes đ
Yuh oh
That choice lost you a lot a money-
I never got anything with Pizza Points. I couldn't bring myself to cut them off the card đ
đ better t keep the boxes complete đ
I could've had a happy not knowing what I missed but now I know I wasted literally boxes full of pizza points
The only toy i got for saving points was super soldier from GI Joe.
Super shiny soldier đđ€
Hey Ed! Have you seen the Entertainment Earth exclusive of the glow in the dark Mutagen Man by Super 7 yet? You can pre-order it now but it doesn't come out till next year.
I preorderd âĄïž
Oh I missed the early 90s
Yeah!! Saludos Bro đČđœ
Thanks for watching đ€đ€
I really wish i could get my hands on that cowabunga leo poster. If anyone has a link to it, let me know. Thank you!
Screw bitcoin, we need to adopt the superior Pizza Points currency. đ€đ€đ€
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ yes
Congrats on 30k subs
Thanks buddy đ€
"Use this book bag to store your TMNT and their accessories, or for carrying your favorite books to the library."
Umm... Why would you be bringing your books to the library? Could you also use it to carry your favorite movies to Blockbuster?
Indeed đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Super Cool
Thanks for watching
i had no idea what to do with the pizza points, was there instructions on how to order the catalog on the figure's boards? i never got any of the vehicles, so i don't know if the instructions were only on those packages?
never mind, i rewound the video, i guess i either read that and forgot about it or never read it, i'd like to say that i read it , as i would read almost everything that came with toys and video games
So yeah on the carded figures it said below the pizza point what to do with it to get a catalog in the boxed vehicles you got the mini catalog so it told you what you could do with it đ€
Lots of cool tmnt stuff. đđđą
Thanks for watching đ€
@@EdsRetroGeekOut your welcome and turtle power. đđđą
That black super shredder will never be mine đ
It could i do see it out there đ€đ
Almost 30K đ
Almost there đ€
Can you please do more Transfomers toy video's please if you can that would be greatđ
Iâll try đ
