For all those why open blade....it then will line up shaft of motor with the slotted hole in the assembly when you put it on.

Will a faulty TBPS cause shifting delays, rpm jumps etc?

Around 2006-07 there seem to be multiple throttle position sensor setups on these and it's hard to look up exact info on what goes with what if you haven't looked under the hood. I have a 2006 4.8 with the sensor that looks like this. Some of them around the same time seem to be the kind in your other video where you have to remove the alternator to get to it. The type that look like this are sometimes held on with these clips, and seomtimes they are riveted on and the replacement parts come with bolts.
For the riveted version of this, does anyone know if I can do it without removing the vehicle or does the open blade issue require that you take out the throttle body to change the sensor?

So you don’t need blade open but you might need to push it open to pit properly on tps line it up. The clips are a pain but I just put it on tps first then use flat head on the other side of clip. Flat on top and two handed in on. Hope that make sense. Then you need to do relearn procedure. 3min on 1 min off x2
Rpm’s will shoot up to like 3k but it will go down if all is well. Hope this helps.

Why would you open the throttle? I did that and now my idle is running at 3k rpm’s and is way off. Nothing I do is leveling it out.
