When I was a kid my Dad went in the backyard with a hacksaw, grinder, some hinges and other assorted hardware and a 50 gallon oil drum. A few hours later he was barbecuing chicken and grilling hamburgers. Over the years his oil drum grill was the main attraction at a lot of family get togethers. Dave, if my Dad was alive today he'd be your biggest fan.
If I ever got stuck in the woods I would want to be with you and Brook so I know I would survive. I find both of your channels relaxing and a chance to learn something. You are both so knowledgeable about the wilderness so thanks for sharing it.
Awesome video! Yes indeed 1 man’s junk is another man’s treasure, I can’t agree more. Love watching you and Brooke do great things with the new property.❤❤
Ok, now that's pretty slick. I LOVE the height of it. I'm a tall guy myself, and get so sick of having to bend over to do everything. I believe I'm going to make something like this myself.
Great Video Dave! I look forward to your videos all the time! Glad the weather is nice and you will be able to post more updates! Be radical and get outside are my favorite ends to all the videos!
Dave, that was some recycled fuel tank/ cooking stove! I like the height and your creative first meal off of it! Keep on narrating and musically enhancing your episodes. I love your guitar accompaniment. Very soothing and spot on.
Awesome video, that was so cool. And a great reminder for anyone welding or grinding on a propane tank to make a BBQ- it may be your last. Definitely need to get the fuel out of all those pores in the steel.
That's definitely a great idea. You're able to cook for a large group in a very timely manner while everyone is enjoying the campfire. All you need is a little area with a covered roof and Bob's your uncle!
Super nice big cooking surface, it's always a good feeling to be able to repurpose an item, especially something that will see alot of use, great job Dave, till next time stay well :)
Your repurpose of the fuel tank……..”Brilliant”! The leg spacing looked a little close together, some sort of a base that’s wider than the legs are now. Or anchored in rock or dirt especially if you have a place you will make your outdoor kitchen. Love you and Brook! Looking forward to seeing how you renovate this property, it’s the whole property you renovate not just the house. What you have done so far is great and seeing the stove you made and the food you cooked says you will not starve! Carry on! Make another video soon, I’m so excited to watch! Thanxz
So great seeing you Dave, been tending to my hubby and RSV for four weeks, it’s great just hanging with you and watching what you’re up to. So good to just relax and watch. Tx Dave for taking us along, very relaxing!❤❤❤❤
Wow the flames coming out that old fuel tank where pretty radical. Multifunctional 1 man's junk is another man's treasure Nothing better than multipurpose
(Tom here.) Dave, it's really amazing how lazy and uncaring some people can be. Whoever left that kerosene burner there really didn't care about cleaning up after themselves. What a Lazy-Butt!!!! I'm glad you were able to re-purpose it and use it for your own good, sir. A lot of people can learn SO MUCH from you and Brooke through your videos!! Thank you for providing these posts to everyone here on CZcams. Take care and may GOD continue to bless you, Brooke, and your whole family as you continue to do your work. (Tom)
They found that place abandoned and called the guy who owned it to buy it. Dave said he didn't think anybody had been out there since the 1980's. Abandoned places are fascinating.
Perfect timing for me. Been needing to build a dirty kitchen on my property. Taxes are killing me so trying to cut costs where I can. Have unlimited wood on land. A large square fuel tank has been laying on part of the property for the last 20 years or so. Never got around to hauling it off, so glad I didn't. Thank you for my new woodstove.
Another AWESOME video!! You amaze me! Can't wait to see the cabin refurbishment project. I'm always so happy when you put a video out (and Brooke, too!)
I love everything behind this video! The reused purpose! The risk with the fire and oil ! How you keep it simple and also it’s very nice to have an oven outside that you can cook on ! Well done !
slick idea using the old fuel storage tank. Breakfast looks good and watching this in the morning think it is time for some of the same. Thanks for the excellent morning video
Love watching you and your wife’s videos you both are amazing people stay the way you are ! Can’t wait to see how your one cabin with the tree in front ends up
This reminded me of when I was a kid. We lived in Atlanta and would go up to the mountains and camp and cook breakfast outdoors. Those meals always tasted so good!
Another Amazing video. Can't Thank You enough for bringing us along. It's incredible how you make things work out and so useful. I'm always looking out for your videos. Blessings from above.
Glad you burned off the fuel and fumes. One neighbor boy back home, forty some years ago was not so fortunate: he didn’t do that cutting a barrel for a hog waterer and he died from the explosion. So glad you educated people what to do
Your ingenuity never ceases to entertain and inspire me.🎉
@alivewithhemp4989 , My thoughts exactly. Dave, another awesome video.
Seriously I envy the guy he’s me. Times 100
Dave has sooo many skills but I wasn't prepared for a three-egg flip!
I think he surprised himself on that one
Right on 😀
Great to see some uploads around the abandoned cabin.

Dave, the only words missing when you were burning the tank are, "Hold my beer, hey, Y'all, watch this." Always look forward to your videos.
It's going to be cool to see Dave fix up his cabin.
I love the idea to repurpose the old fuel tank.
I love what he did and with 2 upgrades it could even be used as a heating stove.
We're so glad your off gird cabin project is getting started. We REALLY enjoy watching and listening to you. Thanks for sharing with your fans!!
Continuing your ability to take the mundane and transform it into something so useful is just amazing Dave, stupendous.
Made me feel like a kid again watching that thing on the fire.
If I ever got stuck in the woods I would want to be with you and Brook so I know I would survive. I find both of your channels relaxing and a chance to learn something. You are both so knowledgeable about the wilderness so thanks for sharing it.

Love how you “repurposed” that old fuel tank. Thanks for showing all the steps you took.
Those fire shots are EPIC!
Boys. Pyrotechnics. Fire-belching fuel tank cooktop. I'm here for it!
Amazing what happens when you use what you have , and make what you need ! The possibilities are endless !
Thank you for bringing us along !
Oh, let's not forget that 3 egg flip! Woo-hoo! 👏
Can't take the boy out of the man. 😂 Building toys and fire, what could be better?
Awesome video! Yes indeed 1 man’s junk is another man’s treasure, I can’t agree more. Love watching you and Brooke do great things with the new property.❤❤
Ok, now that's pretty slick. I LOVE the height of it. I'm a tall guy myself, and get so sick of having to bend over to do everything. I believe I'm going to make something like this myself.
I love how u take things that might have been thrown away and turn them into something useful.
Whipples all release videos on the same day...this is good.
Thank you for the heads up! CZcams doesn't always let me know when Mark, Mick, and Brook post!
Who are the Whipples?
Oh he’s a Whipple lol Are there more of them with other channels? Thx.
@sunshine2528 oh, and Dave's brother is Blackspruce. So there's 4 whipple channels, all very interesting
@@PeaceWorkIIThere is now a fifth: @bellewhipple Belle's channel for her new coffee shop! ☕
Great Video Dave! I look forward to your videos all the time! Glad the weather is nice and you will be able to post more updates! Be radical and get outside are my favorite ends to all the videos!
Great stuff. Built my own man cave because of this channel. 👍🇬🇧👍
Brilliant Dave! I could almost smell the brats and coffee!
I knew you couldn't resist making it into a BBQ stove !! Awsome!!
Solid repurposing
I enjoy wholesome outdoor cooking!
Dave, that was some recycled fuel tank/ cooking stove! I like the height and your creative first meal off of it! Keep on narrating and musically enhancing your episodes. I love your guitar accompaniment. Very soothing and spot on.
I love your ingenuity for designing useful things out of scrap. Great video.
You make things look easy.......the mark of someone who's good at what they do! Thanks for your videos!
Cheers to the funky outdoor kitchen edition 🤙
A great idea for a wonderful and so useful idea. There's just nothing like being able to cook food. Thanks
Dang, that was the craziest burn I've ever seen! Amazing job on that stove, Dave! 🙂
Cool! It's always fun to see an old fashioned Repurpose.
Awesome video, that was so cool. And a great reminder for anyone welding or grinding on a propane tank to make a BBQ- it may be your last. Definitely need to get the fuel out of all those pores in the steel.
I laughed every time that fire shot up again. I kept thinking it was done for sure. Thanks for sharing
IT WAS NEAT WATCHING THAT, BIG BOY FUEL TANK, TORCHING ON THE FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!! COOL IDEA FOR A OUTDOORS COOKING STOVE!! Do take care. Fl,
Awesome transformation of the old tank…. Simple, functional and smart!… nice work Dave!

Dave you and Brooke are pure geniuses!! God bless your family!!
Great re-cycle on that tank, no welding required.. should last longer than you'll need it.
Have a great day
Nice build. Very satisfying to re-purpose something into a useful thing from scratch.
Wholly smokes. What a display of fire! That was nuts. Certainly good times
I don't think there is anything you can't do...!!! So cool! Yet hot!
MAN that made me hungry!! 😂 Good Work!!! Loved the "fanfare" and fireworks in prep of your new stove!!
Wow! That’s a lot of fire coming out…very impressive work!
That's definitely a great idea. You're able to cook for a large group in a very timely manner while everyone is enjoying the campfire. All you need is a little area with a covered roof and Bob's your uncle!
I love all your videos! Your narration is great. Thanks for sharing the outdoors with us!
Thank you so much for showing how something not looking so impressive can be utilised and making you so happy.
Super nice big cooking surface, it's always a good feeling to be able to repurpose an item, especially something that will see alot of use, great job Dave, till next time stay well :)
Dave, this was the best transformation! Love your ingenuity 🔥🔥🔥 good lookin breakfast too.. very radical indeed.

You always seem to post a video when I need it most. Been down on life lately, and seeing your simple free life always soothes me. Thanks Dave.
I love this video! Such a great repurposing of something that might otherwise go into a landfill. Seeing how you did it all was great.
Miss both of your guys videos glad you are making them again. Hope all is well with you both and health 🙏🏻
One of the most enjoyable 'finds' on the 'Tube. Always a pleasure!! Thanks!!

At 2:25 we were all wondering: Is this guy going to blow himself up? Nice build. I really like the door setup.
Let's get cooking.
Also, kind of amazed that valve worked.
That burning off the fuel vapours was amazing to see, looked like CGI! Must have been quite a sight first hand! Great video, thanks for making!
slick idea using the old fuel storage tank. Breakfast looks good and watching this in the morning think it is time for some of the same. Thanks for the excellent morning video
Dave, I have to say, of all the channels on CZcams, you are the one I would most like to hang out at a camp fire with.
Stay real!
Maranatha!

"how'd you like that 3 egg flip"? 😂 Loved it. Good use of that nasty thing.
Gotta love things that have a bit of somethin' somethin' in 'em! 😉👍💯🤣🤣
Great idea. I love when old "junk" gets new life.
This video is a win if for no other reason than the cool fireworks! That was nice.
edit to add, putting it on the fire definitely burned off all of the residues, too. Excellent project, Sir.
Thanks for sharing...great idea on a new use for an old tank.
saw down trees and do a couple gardens to really liven it up - spring is here
What a find. Awesome skills, planning, and work. This is one of the coolest videos I’ve ever seen. No joke.

Love that you always find a use for old things. Have to say I was a little nervous when you through it on the fire 🔥
Planning a fishing trip real soon. Outdoor cooking begins and ends my day. That project was one of your best.
Excellent modification Dave, I love the way you think! greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
I've always thought of you as a down to earth guy with a lot of common sense... until this video. Glad it turned out good. Have a wonderful week.
WOW!❤ Loved the fuel tank on the fire!! 😅😂🤣 I thought for sure the Wizard of Oz was going to appear any second! 😅🤣💖

Dave, you live dangerously 😜 yet love all your successful 🙌 projects!❤
Marvelous! Just loved the door and latch adjustment. Dave, you crack me up. I enjoy your witty quips during the videos.

Glad you burned off the fuel and fumes. One neighbor boy back home, forty some years ago was not so fortunate: he didn’t do that cutting a barrel for a hog waterer and he died from the explosion. So glad you educated people what to do
oh ! Sorry to hear that
Dave, you and Brooke are just the absolute best!😊

Great video Dave. Keep ‘em coming. Looking forward to seeing you turn this place into a livable camp.
Cheers!
Whipple
