The UCP have only carried on with the fiscal ineptitude and poor planning that the Alberta PCs did, ever since Don Getty was premier of Alberta.
So far, the UCP have made well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes, and have also given Alberta a mammoth debt that is now nearly $140 billion.
Here is a detailed list of what the UCP did.
The UCP blew money on plane flights to various places, which had no practical purpose, and gave no tangible results. The UCP blew money on expensive hotel stays. The UCP blew money on one sided panels and committees, which are stacked with their Conservative friends. The UCP blew money on lawsuits, which they know they can't win. The UCP blew $120 million on a useless 'War Room ', blew nearly $200,000 on an unsuccessful UCP candidate to run the 'War Room', and blew large sums of money, daily, on the 'War Room'.
The UCP lost around $8 billion to $10 billion, from 2 rounds of corporate tax cuts, which didn't produce a single new hire. Right after these 2 rounds of corporate tax cuts failed, the UCP went begging for financial help from Ottawa. The UCP blew $3 billion and $13 billion on 2 very imbalanced 'aid packages' for Alberta. The UCP blew well over $7 billion on a pipeline bet gone bad. The UCP lost $4 billion on a pension fund debacle. The UCP lost nearly $2 billion from the Heritage Savings Trust Fund, and lost even more money from that fund. The UCP lost $1.6 billion on an 'accounting error'. The UCP hired 20, or more of their Conservative friends, for pointless positions, which pay in between $100,000 per year to $250,0000 per year. The UCP borrowed $25 billion, without asking Albertans about it, and the UCP have never revealed what they have used the money for. The UCP blew billions of dollars trying to prop up the Alberta PCs $35 billion bitumen upgrader debacle. The UCP blew money on grants to the petrochemical industry, including giving a $408 million grant to a pipeline company, which never used the money for any meaningful purpose. The UCP blew money on film ads, which were aimed at children. The UCP blew over $200,000 on a billboard ad in New York City. The UCP blew money on the Steve Allen inquiry, which constantly didn't produce any results. The UCP lost Alberta $4 million, without any paper trail. The UCP couldn't account for how around $650 million in covid relief money was used. An Australian coal mining company is suing the UCP for nearly $4 billion, for breaking a contract agreement.
The UCP blew billions of dollars on various voter bribery schemes, including making Albertans pay $1.2 billion for the new hockey arena for Calgary, which Danielle Smith originally opposed, when she was the Wildrose party leader, and as a radio talk show host, because she said it didn't make any economic sense, blew around $1.5 billion on the gas tax holiday vote buying scheme, and so on. The UCP blew $80 million on Turkish Tylenol. The UCP are blowing $20 billion on the R-Star debacle. The UCP are blowing money on propaganda ads of various types. The UCP are blowing around $100 million on the DynaLife debacle, which the UCP caused. The UCP blew $253,000 and $2 million on Preston Manning to produce a covid report that is junk. The UCP did nothing to stop power companies in Alberta from holding back the power, which increased power prices in Alberta exponentially, which is known as economic witholding, which cost Albertans well over $100 billion, since June of 2020. The UCP hired many more staff for their MLAs, at a great cost to Albertans, including Danielle Smith's staff of 34. The UCP created the largest provincial cabinet in Alberta's history, with 34 cabinet ministers, and associate ministers. The UCP blew money on a pointless excursion to Dubai. The UCP blew money on hiring more of their Conservative crony friends to help restructure AHS, in a circle game move, which will solve nothing. More coal mining companies are suing the UCP for $10.8 billion, for breaking contract agreements. The UCP are blowing money on an office in Ottawa, which will have no practical purpose. The UCP are blowing money on carbon sequestration, which Danielle Smith originally opposed, because she said it was very costly and unproven technology. The UCP are blowing $2 million and added costs on someone to produce another pandemic management report. The UCP are blowing money on a study to see how feasible a high speed rail is for Alberta.
The UCP sure are a Conservative government, arent they?

My Flamethower is the NDP taking Alberta debt from 12 billion to 84 billion in 4 years without any major improvements done and still try to deny it to this day>>>

Well there was a oil crash but there was one in the 80s, 1998 and 2008 so I guess thats a poor excuse, conservative governments dealt with those ones without adding so much to our debt, so you are correct was it just poor management sure looks like it.

No major improvements? They invested in the infrastructure that had been neglected and had built up a deficit for 40 years. They got a 0% increase for 4 years in public service wages but maintained services. They basically carried on the level of spending and programs from the previous governments so we wouldn't fall into a recession, but had a concrete plan for a balanced budget. Kenney and Dani come in, destroy public services, cause a recession and completely outspend far beyond what the NDP planned because they also didn't give billions in tax breaks to companies that turned around and left or were dying anyway. NDP would have balanced the budgets faster and not destroyed healthcare and education.
