In Philippines, at Bislig, Surigao del Sur. There was a Company name Paper Industries Corporation of the Philippines or PICOP. It's the largest paper manufacturer in Southeast Asian from 1960 to 1980. This Logging Truck Pacific are one of the work horses of the company. There were 5 units of this. I remember when it start engine we hear a loud air pressure to rotate its starter. Sad to see some of the units now are junk. Company gone bankrupt.

@Xx69roadrunnerxX Mostly tires and transmissions. That's because E&A can't afford new Allisons, so the old ones get re-built with used parts. As old Tom the re-build guys says, "You can only rob Peter to pay Paul so many times, before Peter's going to want his money back!" Planetaries fail too, and diffs, when they're hauling on steep grades.

a truck nut here but I never saw a big wide 5th wheel like that. Thanks for sharing this stuff.

It's not really a fifth wheel, if you look close you can see the trailer is just hooked to the log bunk. That big round bearing race supports the log bunk.

@skadill That building is "The Church", I have no idea why it's called that.... Maybe the mechanics go there to pray. The Freightliner belongs to someone else, I think it has a blown engine or something.
