I am wondering, do you or the gentleman in the video have or plan to or know about a good chanel to learn how to saw or tailor clothes.
Basics are very ok. :D I just have this cheap coat (under £20 ... I think it was abou £15) that I like but it has no tailoring. It is good in the shoulders and chest yet I am very thin and the coat makes me bit ... Barrel-ous
You were right. I was too lazy to open the description.
fb,insta,doesnt work,its not complete link
He needs a CZcams channel
How dare you assume I'm lazy
*has just switched to a third video without finishing the first two*
Fun fact, in French, sitting cross-legged like he showed is called "s'asseoir en tailleur", which literally translates as "to sit like a tailor". :-)
We also have a similar word like that in German it´s called "Schneidersitz" : )
I just commented the exact same thing about the danish word "skrædderstilling" :D
Wow. I'm French and you just made me realize
In Dutch it's called kleermakerszit, which means the same thing
In Polish it's "po turecku" which means "in a Turkish way". I wonder where that one came from 🤔
His collar is both higher than my aspirations in life and brighter than my future
Don't do drugs kid.
Very funny, and you write well.
That’s really sad.!
A very poetic quip!
I love you lol!
Ladies calm down!!!! Zack has a gentleman of his own
should’ve put a disclaimer lol

How did people not pick up on this 😂
@@SuicideJade Blinded by the thirst ig xD💕?
Can we get updates when there are more back in stock or do we have to order a bespoke boyfriend?
If somebody hasn't screamed "MR. DARCY!" at him, I will learn to sew, create an outfit, and eat it.
I didn't. 🙈
That is who I thought of
I sense a positive friendly vibe. Can't be Mr Darcy. It reminded me of Mr Bingley instead.
Christine Bingley for sure!! I thought the same thing :)
Just Me yeah I feel like he is much more bingley or whickham for he had this delightful charming air of him and also his face is just too friendly and bright to be the arrogant Darcy that annoys people half way through the party(lol)

Excellent video as always. Now please convince Zack to start his own channel. He is such a gem.
The Sewing Artist Such an interesting human! I would watch him for sure
Omgosh! Yes! I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE!!
Yes! Get him to start a channel!
He has a channel, his last name + tailoring with no videos on it. So we need to convince him to make videos.
He's so busy with his one man shop, there's no time for a channel. Videos take lots of time to make. I'm just thrilled for the interview.
gosh, he is utterly charming!
He's so great!

In Denmark the cross-legged position is actually called "skrædderstilling" which is translated to "tailor-pose".
how cool!
Naja
In German, it’s called ‚Schneidersitz‘ - ‚tailor‘s sitting pose‘.
I never really made the connection to sewing, though.
It's the same with german. We call this sitting position "Schneidersitz" which also translates into something like "tailor sitting". :)
enidan
Isn’t that weird? It never occurred to me, to try and sit in the Schneidersitz, when doing my handsewing.
In Dutch we cal it 'kleermakerszit' ,so also something like 'tailor-pose' or 'tailor sitting'
Also: men should really dress like that again. At least for formal occasions. It’s so flattering! I like it much better, than modern suits.
yeah, I'm sure he actually is athletic but the tight waistcoat really emphasizes it 💪
I’m always thinking this. But nobody seems to understand. I would love a regency suit by Zack.
It makes them instantly more attractive to me, I'm more attracted to a man in Regency clothes than modern clothes. I am a Regency Reinactor so I often am wearing a regency dress and I love going to regency balls. The gentlemen there are very handsome and so wonderfully charming. I never want to leave because the people I meet there are lovely and the men are all so gentlemanly and is wonderful. It's a wonderful escape from the modern world. And as I've said to meet true gentlemen in this day and age is amazing and gives hope.
One of my teachers did say a man who enjoys the work of Jane Austen (as many regency events are based around Jane Austen) makes an ideal husband as they are likely to pick up on the positive attributes of the men in the books which is want most women want.
RegencyLady1797 where are all these regency balls then ?😳😳😳😳
@@hanniffydinn6019 I only know of the UK, there are some in Bath, Alton, Chatsworth House, Winchester, there are some in London and others dotted about throughout the year often at stately homes.

Let’s not trust that rapper too much. Chill
He made an accurate assessment so we have a 100% success rate in our sample size
I've never seen a person so perfectly suited to his clothes. Is it the tailoring or is Zack just the ideal Regency figure?
Cinema OCD
It’s mostly that his clothes are made to fit _him_ rather than an average-ish person of about the same size as him, which is what most of us are wearing.
And he’s fit, natch.

Shelby LovesIreland than imagine him showing her his needle.
@Time4Clocks It was rhetorical, but I still love everything you said. I read at least 2 books a day, if I have the time to even sit down for 1 (which I still make time for, even if I don't have the time 😜), and I love going on walks with my kiddos, finding pretty rocks to take home or cool bugs to admire. Autumn is my favorite season, so I'm excited for the colors and the smells that come with it. 😍
My dream day is the sweet, crisp smell of an Autumn rain blowing in through my window while I sip my favorite blueberry white tea and dive in deep to a heavy book for hours. It gives me tingles just imagining it. 😁🥰
Hi Zack, i am exactly like you but i wear Edwardian clothing. I make gentlemans from the 1690s to the 1900s bespoke too. Its like we are kindred spirits. I thought i was the only man that did this. Keep up the good work.
craig osborn do you have a social media account?
You keep up the good work too, sir
Now we just gotta get Bernadette Banner in there and then we got the holy trinity of beautiful language, memes and period fashion/sewing all united.
For clarity: Not that each of them is representing one of these, they each got any number of these going for them.
I've always been dreaming about that

My father is a tailor. His father was a tailor. And I believe his father was as well. So lovey to see someone speak of the art of it.
That's cool! Are you a tailor?
Pls tell me you’re a tailor!!
He looks like if Mr. Darcy and John Mulaney had a child and I love it
Nikita aaa I can’t unsee it!
Holy shit youre right
@Nate the image of Mr. Darcy and John Mulaney conceiving a child?
Yaaas
Spot on!
I totally agree about something being made for you and that making it comfortable! My corset is 10x more comfortable than any modern bra, and that is because I made it for my body, altered it, had all these fittings. Not because it's stretchy or old, but because it *fits*. Tailoring is such a lost art, since I made my corset I've gone on a mission to alter all my clothes and make them fit better, and OH MY GOD I look and feel so much better.
Ty. This is exactly what I needed to distract me from studying. The perfect excuse.
OK, had to pause at 4:58 where Zack scoots up on the table. Love the silhouette he is rocking. I am a woman but I would so wear that entire outfit topped off with a with a brocade Edwardian coat.
"Disturb me! I'm disturbed enough, it's fine!" This is the kind of quality content I love 👌
Omg Zack!! He’s a legend in England in Jane Austen fan circles and regency balls reenactors !! I’ve seen him in a BBC documentary and I was like wow!!! Thanks for brining us this episode! We love you Karolina xxxx
Lilmisscostumedrama OMG yes! I literally just saw him 2 days ago on a doc and now I see him ever!!
I was commissioned in 2011 to do a sculpture of a Colonial person who was killed by the Abenaki Indians in Main USA.. in 1724. I commissioned an outfit to be made by a gentleman near Baltimore Maryland USA... He specialized in re-creating period clothing.. I had to have the clothing accurate for that period of time.. so fascinating.. Found out that the cuffs on the sleeves were large and grew smaller as the century progressed... The Bronze turned out great.. I so respect anyone who does what Zack does.. Thank you for the video...
thats incredible
Maine.
He has such a nice voice to listen to
Oh my goodness he is a total Prince Charming except even better because he’s humble and down to earth. And Karolina also, 2 beautiful people in 1 video, how did we all get so lucky? He speaks so wonderfully.
Omfg, I love how his insanely proper accent matches his aesthetic and his job in general 😆
I've never seen any of his work before, but he seems such a charismatic and engaging person to have a conversation with!
I would love it if you do more collabs together!
The tailors dummy in the back reminds me of the iron giant.
That makes it a lot easier to look at. Thank you
@@rabbit__ No problem.
But the creepy version.
@@WouldntULikeToKnow. True.
There are not enough men in vintage and historical clothing! I’m glad to see that Zach is so dedicated :)
Why are men in old-fashioned clothings so handsome? Especially the clothings of this tailor! I really love these old shirts. I love old fashion in general. (Sorry for my bad english)
This video was awesome meme mom!
Like the other person said it emphasizes a Mans natural V shaped torso. I'll also add it emphasizes arms as well ...And properly fitted clothes just looks better in general. Most men today buy off the rack clothes that have a generic fit and isnt always flattering.
Alternatively you could say men like women who wear clothes that emphasize their hourglass figure because thats what we're attracted to. We're all still animals I guess lol.
@@sergeantbigmac And I was convinced I was so refined for liking men in historical clothing. Duh. Guess I'm just a troglodyte, like everyone else. Thanks for ruining my fantasies 😅

Yeah, Bernadette might be much better at bantering with Zack.
This was fabulous. Two lovely, awkward fashion history nerds in one video!? Hell yeah.
The posture he was demonstrating is honestly the exact posture we learned in dental hygiene school!! I can relate to much to my back and neck being sore if I forget correct ergonomics and end up slouching while cleaning someone's teeth!
It's channels like this that make CZcams far more interesting and entertaining than anything on television.
"You need to turn up for fittings"

J .S top ten underrated comments
I might have a huge crush on him from this video because of EVERYTHING HE DOES AND SAYS
SAME, I’m so sad that he’s gay 😭
In the Netherlands we actually call cross legged sitting ‘kleermakerszit’ so tailor’s sit
In america we call it criss cross applesauce!
... Or indian style.
I found it funny that there's the french and dutch (?) etymology that mean tailor's sit, then there's the bastard child of America.
Lol in Serbia it's called "turkish sit" (originally _turski sed_ ), so funny to hear different names for it in different languages
In German and Danish it's translating into the same.
In the uk we just say sitting cross legged 😂
Ik kan echt niet zo zitten. Ik heb het zo vaak geprobeerd, het lukt me jammer genoeg niet hahahaha
He's so well-spoken? I could listen to him talk all day
I saw that people were mentioning this about their own languages so I’ll jump on the bandwagon and mention that in Swedish that way of sitting is called skräddarsits aka tailor-sitting/seat as well!
4:51 'cross-legged' is in Dutch 'kleermakerszit', which is 'tailors sit/pose' , which I just learned here is indeed the most comfortable position for sewing because [reasons mentioned in video] :D
thanks for the link
This is fantastic! I am ALL about this. I love how much Zack loves the historical research for its own sake and learning about people❤️
In Germany sitting cross legged is called "Schneidersitz" which also means sitting like a tailor. :) It's nice that this happened in so many languages. :)
I’ve been slowly transitioning into a vintage-inspired lifestyle for a while now, and your content has really helped me along the way. Male fashion does differ [more than] a bit from female fashion, but it’s more a matter of seeing someone who is living this way and is well-informed on the topic.
"I'm disturbed enough, it's FiNeE !" 😂
Quote of the year: "Bespoke is the granola bar of the sewing world." Such wisdom and elegance of phrase is rare these days. 🍪 (There are no granola bar emojis but cookies are basically the less healthy version of a granola bar, so we'll go with that 😅)
My kind of granola bar :D xD💓💕.
granola is love, granola is life
... I never understood it when someone said to me "have you ever seen a man so beautiful you could cry" until today
Now that is a gentleman. Creating beautiful clothes, loves his job and is dashingly handsome.
I love watching you two together 😂 I hope you're irl friends and we get to see silly hangouts again!
I am dying over the way you both looked over at the phone😭😭😭 I could feel the hate for technology within 5 seconds
Yep, 21st century intruding...Nope.
I learned of Zack Pinsent from watching a Bernadette Banner CZcams video where she's tailoring a suit while visiting Cathy Hays. They are fans of his creations. I wish he had a greater CZcams presence. ❤️
MemeMum: ‘You’re the first man that appears on this channel. So the viewers are gonna freak out’.
Me: *crying over how cute he is* proceeded freaking out from the thumbnail.
I love him. I wanna put him in my pocket and keep him. Please mom!
Don't suffocate him
This was really fun and cool, I actually really appreciate you branching out and showing not just the consumer side of period/vintage clothing, but also the lifestyles and the creators and the people that sort of no one really talks about as much. It's usually all about oh this or that historical person or this or that big vintage brand and oh all the products you can buy and how you should look as the end consumer; so this is super cool and refreshing. Thank you Karolina
You guys are such an iconic duo, I feel atacked
He's like the time travel tailor from that one tumblr post! Like he would create clothing for people who will time travel so they blend in.
I need a show like that, badly
WOW, ...just... WOW! I’m always watching Bernadette & you, my meme mother, as you both look at garments which may be dated incorrectly, look at modern clothing which takes influence from different decades, work on your own clothing, researching, what is done on a machine vs by hand, etc. I have never stopped to consider that the men who attend reproduction historical events ALSO need to have certain clothing pieces in their wardrobe! It’s amazing that he is a one man business & doesn’t send out some of the hand stitching! However; I suppose if it were my name attached to the construction of a garment, I would want to ensure it was done my exact expectations. If a client is unhappy, & my label is sewn into the piece...I couldn’t really place blame on someone that my client had no idea would be doing some of the work. I can’t wait to go check out his IG & website! Thank you for introducing him to those of us who didn’t know!! Much Love Meme Mom 🤗💜😘
You two should collaborate again and maybe tear down some fashion misconceptions about a particular historical period!
In German we still call it the „Schneidersitz“ as well, meaning to sit like a tailor 😁
It's just so amazing to finally hear Zack talk xD
"I'm sewing a seam but I'm so zen"
excellent interview. I love that outfit Karolina
Aaaahhhhh I love your channel! ♥️♥️♥️
I just got into sewing, I'm only making tote bags at the time being but my favourite historical eras are Regency and 1950s so it's my ambition to get good enough to make garmets of those eras.
Zack is a lovely gentlemen! Very handsome!
Omg. His accent. Mmmmmmm 🤗
right? I feel like a peasant
Karolina Żebrowska as you should, cower before him and his heavenly voice
I love his accent, it's so refined. Even though it's pretty challenging to understand his part in on-go. For the french girl that I am. XC
Here I am stuck with Australian.
I'm more northern than Zach but can rock this accent from time to time ;)
He is my closet inspirator from now. 😂 I always wanted to wear such clothes.
I love the tailoring of men’s fashions from the 1920s and the tailoring and innovation of 1950s/1960s women’s fashion
Marvel: Endgame is going to be the most epic crossover of the decade

@@s0mnia860 Hence the drama!
They have literally no chemistry at all. As much as I love Karolina, but like me she is awkward as hell and probably out of nervousness is talking over him while he has this very refined and almost poetic delivery of anything he says. They would never pass as a romantic couple on the big screen.

I’ve recently started getting into vintage fashion but most everything I search comes up with women’s, so it’s great to see this content
Zack is adorable. I love watching his channel. He is so passionate about textiles. I love it.
I have been collecting vintage jewelry and other accoutrements for some time, and it was not until about 4 months ago when I saw Zach in the BBC clip that I realized that period dressing is what I love! Since that time, I found Karolina and many more and have realized that one CAN dress in period clothing daily. Zach literally changed my life! Thank you!!!
Oh my goodness 😂 so many golden comments throughout this video. This was much needed thank you for the giggle 💗
It's like he walked right out of a period drama. Looks, outfit, THAT VOICE...

He might be gay, but I all ready asked how to order one for my self 😉
I'm so happy that Wilhelm got his time to shine along side yourself and Zack in this video. Though he hardly said much, or anything at all some might say... There is indeed great wisdom behind those button eyes!
