I would love to see another EOC from a much larger city. I think it would be interesting to compare the two.

Honestly not a ton different! Larger cities will generally have more rooms for offices and such but generally the EOC itself is pretty similar. You want to get key players from the major departments but you don't want to overwhelm the incident with too many people. Plus, the goal is to follow the ICS (Incident command system) in order to be as organized as possible

Carmel has one of the nicest in the state. They're one of the wealthiest cities in the country and have a booming population.

Another fantastic video. I started off my EMS career in an EOC/control room before going on the road. Love seeing how things are done over the pond in America.

Fantastic insight to major incident and disaster management.
And shows just how much joint working with other groups is needed during these times.

Have you ever worked a natural disaster like a major hurricane, flood, tornado or a large fire? If so the most difficult and many times a problem is all communication. Without the ability to communicate and get resources it’s next to impossible to do the job. I have personal experience with systems that have a service like this and ones that don’t. The ones that do clearly are easier and safer to work with. Money well spent

@@billybob2329 It's as if you believe emergency workers can't perform effectively without spending millions on luxury accommodations. EOCs don't prevent natural disasters. How about some modest office space with whiteboards and a couple video screens?
