- Here is my recipe to achieve the perfect Mexican street food style torta at home. I try to replicate the taco truck gas steel griddle with my own counter top griddle to get the toasty bread, char on the carne asada, onions and jalapeno for a perfect torta.
INGREDIENTS for Carne Asada Marinade
1 lb Beef skirt meat
Juice of 1 medium orange
juice of half of a lemon (or 1 lime)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
