WOW! You always take me right home! My mom used to make these for us when we were kids! She would add red chile powder to the meat. I remember it would turn the inside of the bolillos a bright orange. Boy do I miss her cooking. Thanks for sharing! ❣️

I wonder if the powder was achiote powder. Either way, they sound delicious. Nothing beats Mom's homecooked meals. 😊🙏🏼

OMG! I found out about you by total accident and I’m so very excited to try some of your recipes!!! I absolutely love love love Mexican food!!! Now don’t you agree that ground Mexican cumin or just regular ground cumin? I think that it just really makes every Mexican dish very Authentic!!! I also think that outside of ground beef that buying seasoned beef, pork and other meats from an actual Mexican store?!?! I really love to just go into those said stores! They are always very clean and they SMELL SO AMAZING!!! I lived with a couple in Atlanta right? She was from Braziland my friend, her husband was from Spain but spent many years living in Mexico, his brother (God rest his soul!) was a wonderful cook but unfortunately, food and drink and not taking care of himself lead to an untimely death! 😂 but moving forward..... I’d follow, chop, slice, boil ANYTHING that they asked me to just to allow me to watch and LEARN how to cook Mexican and my other dear friend his Wife, Affectionately known as Madia, her name was really Maria, but I loved them both with all of my heart and Soul! And so the only one thing that I just couldn’t latch on to the very confusing Portuges/Mexican & Spanish language!! 😂😂😂😂 I no longer live in Atlanta but I still ask “Madia!” Lol! For some of her recipes.... long story longer lol! Again, I am so very excited about learning your recipes! Thank you for allowing all of us to share in a part of your culinary Goodness!!!! I just made this after watching your video and let me tell you, that BOLILLO!!!! 🔥 That bolillo was so good fried, almost like a donut without sugar, haha. It made the meal. My Hubby loved it! 🏅 thank you!

my mother in law makes does but with chicken they are called panes rellenos she also spreads mayo on the bread before putting the meat. they are sooo good and will definitely try this it looks more simple 😉 thanks
