Yep. That was a guitar. 😂 Dimebag was able to get incredible squeals.
Pistoff 76 specific technique is called a divebomb, created with a harmonic and whammy bar! :)
Nyle it was a dime squeal, a dive bomb is when you get the harmonic and depress the bar lowering the pitch. A dime squeal you depress the bar get the harmonic then pull the bar up
His guitar had its own voice it sang on those last notes
Pinch harmonics. When I first started playing guitar, I would accidentally make the guitar squeal. Every time I try to play every now and then I would hit a note and it would squeal like that. I tried everything in my power and not do that. Happening because of the way I held the pic and rudimentary stuff. I considered it a bad habit. Anyway, if they're working on it, I finally managed do not do it. Few years later, more and more thrash metal guitarist we're adding that into their playing style. So I attempted to pull off the pinch harmonics, but I did such a great job in not doing it, that I couldn't do it when I wanted to. I couldn't win back then. Darrell Abbott really used pinch harmonics to the fullest. He always seemed to put it in exactly the right place.
Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last couple of days =)
Phil Anselmo (vocal) on his prime 🤘 keep rocking you beautiful Girls
Definitely not Phils prime as he made a *decision* to stop singing this way.
Beautiful? You fucking blind man?
@@integrity101 he hated play that song live haha , and i think phil style is more from vulgar display of power and far beyond
@@edybocman76
Agreed. Altho i prefer Reinventing The Steel
@@prageet9304 maybe, but sadly I'm not blind so I can read stupid comments like yours, The women in the video are beautiful, if you're a asshole that's other thing
If you wanna see them live, I recommend domination by pantera (monsters of rock - Moscow 1991)
I second that recommendation!
Pull that video down. I hope it gets deleted
Heck yeah!
Totally recommend this 2 one of my favorite concert reactions to a live version of Pantera domination live in Moscow 1991 Monsters of Rock hell yeah
Yes. Apoyo está propuesta 🤘
To me the song is more about the fact that the guy did not fully appreciate the person who died while they were alive.. and the sudden loss of the person left a painful void afterward. It is a very powerful song with a strong message to appreciate those around you whom you love.
Peace
R.I.P Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul 🙏🤘
Nice reaction. Yep, that haunting, bone tingling high pitched squeal at the end was from Dimebags guitar. Notice how he was following Phil's high pitched singing each time and going higher with it. Amazing ending to a song. This song holds a special place in many metalhead's hearts, as well as of course all Pantera fans. RIP Dime and Vinnie \m/\m/
The story I have heard about the background of this song is that some members of Pantera were close friends with some people that had a suicide pact with each other and eventually carried it out - they changed some of the original lyrics to be less personal and more just a general mourning ballad. Can't remember where I heard that but have heard it multiple times. This song was the bridge between 80's Pantera and 90's Pantera's respective sound/vibe.
And the lyrics in the video are wrong - it is "I'm a man cut in half in this world" - his other half is gone
Dimebag Darrell rip the greatest heavy metal guitarist of all time🤘🤘
No joke, the man was just brilliant.
And most of all he was the coolest and nicest guy in the world. I remember drinking whiskey with him and the the other guys from Damage Plan in 2004 in Hamburg.
Dude was great... But there is no greatest.
You can't have him over Iommi or Mustaine.
And vice versa.
@@gooderish appreciate your opinion but this is just my personal opinion thanks for your reply 🤘🤘
@@cjhall7798No worries, I just thought I'd give you my opinion.
And, hey man, the world would be a boring place if we all thought the same.
I hope we can at least agree that 'one direction' sucked arse though.
Yes, the solo is legendary. It will stand as such when even when the endless march of sand turns us to dust and bones. Dimebag will be a God to a new civilization thousands of years from now when all our modern day bullshit is long gone and forgotten. This solo will be the galactic anthem to futuristic beings whose natural speech vocalizations happen to sound exactly like electric guitar.
damn, this one made me tear up, Man, I miss Dime
This song f*cks me up everytime I hear it...
What I always interpreted is that he held a lot of pride, guilt, and pain of her dying. His thoughts and spirit are so focused on her death, that he cannot live his life as he should. Passing through the “cemetery gates” is metaphorical that he can leave her to rest in peace while he goes on with his life.
Pantera!! I love this band!! Great job ladies! You picked a classic!
Any songs from the Cowboys From Hell or Vulgar Display Of Power albums will make your day
Or Far Beyond Driven, Great Southern Trendkill, or their best album *Reinventing The Steel*
I just thought of something. I watch several different reaction channels. And many love Pantera. If Dime was still alive he'd be watching these as well with a big thumbs up. He was a fan more than just a guitarist. R.I.P BIG VIN AND DIME
Damn straight
My favourite Pantera song. Goosebumps every time.
This is the best of Phil’s vocals combined with the best of Dime’s guitar.
Shattered gives it a good run for it's money.
My mom Saw Them live in 1997 she cried when she heard it her dad died when she was 23 thank you mom for letting me hear this song rock on mom 🤟
Pantera this love, floods godamn electric
Next Pantera song, Hollow.
if you like that tune, check out Rush "no one at the bridge" you will hear the SAME guitar part. but Rush was in 1975. love both the bands though.
Nope becaming
"belive the word" = i will do it
"i will unlock my door" = i will end my life
"and pass the cemetery gates" = to be with her again
yeah thats right!
Ohh sweet ms. heroin
Cemetery gates is about the loss of a lover. Hollow is about the loss of a brother may I recommend Phil's talk at the University
@@fanenthusiast3802 I think it's more about overcoming that loss.
Pantera - Hollow
He had trouble dealing with losing someone and feeling sad. He will eventually let himself greive and deal with the reality.
Yes, there is a video to this tract. Very well made and thought provoking. Keep up the good work, ladies. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Who ever suggested this song, thank you
Also, floods by pantera
It's about leaving away the grief when someone important die. "Believe the Word", a way to accept death, something like this is not the end. Leave the cemetery is leave the grief ant start to by his own.
Keep going like that, I love your reactions!
Cheers from Argentina!
My fiance of 3 years passed away last October. This song means more to me than anyone could ever understand.
I love how you guys are speechless at the end. The mark of a great song for sure
Song is about dealing with a loss of a loved one. There is sadness, anger, remorse,... he is in absolute emotional turmoil and mess. She was his world and there is duality all over. Unlocking his world, setting his soul free and passing the Cemetery gates both means passing them on the way out and moving on and considering passing them to join her and doesn't move on. There is also feeling that she was making him a better person ("chance to save my soul") and that he will be worse without her. Rhythm switches to match the emotions of passing trough the stages of grieving. And they did made an official video for this one. It was also on the soundtrack of the horror movie "Demon Knight". That soundtrack is quite impressive, unlike the movie...
You nailed it bro.
lore master let's go!
Ill throw it out.
Primus - Wynona's Big Brown Beaver
Their best song...And a all time classic
that guitar wailing still stirs me so haunting
how i feel about the song - it is about love that turned to hate because his beloved died so he kinda hated her for dying and leaving him lone, the phrases "i will unlock my door and pass the cemetery gates" is about finding himself and accepting the death of beloved and finally being in peace with it and self
Listen to "domination" by pantara lyric and "sweet leaf" by Black Sabbath
I think you are thinking of Sweat Leaf by Godsmack And Pantera does Cover of Hole in sky by Sabbath System of a down Does cover of Snow Blind White zombie does Children of the Grave
black sabbath will forever be the best!@@jamesstockam3415
@@cheguevara1289 I 💯% aggre with you Brother 🤘🤘
Probably one of the best drops in all of rock ever at the end of the intro. Ever. Period
Beautiful, ladys!
The song goes through the emotions and coming to grips with her passing.
Sorrow, anger, etc.
Ever hear a guitar talk back to the singer...now you have...yes that's dimebag's guitar 🤘
Great reaction ladies . This Love by Pantera is a good song too and Cowboys From Hell and I'm Broken.
React to the sleep by pantera!!!
Everyone brings up "floods" for its guitar solo. but I think "the sleep" has the best guitar solo they've ever done.
Steve Moses same, it’s my favorite and imo the best song (solo wise)
It's the story of someone who lost their soul mate, grappling with loss and regret for things not said or done. Wanting to pass through the cemeteray gates to once againg be with his beloved eternal.
YES!! My two favorite metal heads are back! You girls did the right thing today, w PANTERA🤙
It's a southern superstition to lock the car doors while passing a cementary to keep the spirits away. Hence the lines, unlock my door. I didn't learn that til recently. One of my favorite concerts was Pantera opening for Black Sabbath in 99.
My day is even now better ❤️ great video!
A guitar harmonic with whammy bar and octave shifting effects pedal. The song was written for Phil's mother who died. When he says he'll unlock his door to pass the cemetery gates, he means he wants to kill himself in order to be with her again.
This song portrays the emotions a person feels when they lose someone dear to them (maybe their partner or mother):
Grief, Reminiscence, Anger and Acceptance.
The lyrics portrays how the person feels sad and remembers old memories, then feels angry for leaving them behind, so soon and then accepts their death, like he accepted it and decided to finally go to her grave at the cemetery.
Hey ladies always good to see y'all again, well what can I say I remember when that album came out, that was a really cool selection and again I liked your reaction to it keep on rockin 🤟
I f'n love this song so much!
I love the impact dime has on people 1who dont realize how tragically he was taken from us fans but to watch so many reaction videos were they say just amazing things about everyone in pantera it established the reasons why i believe pantera can never be duplicated but will always influence every style of metal from now onnnn they all changed metal music 43va
Thanks for the reaction!!!!
I love the reaction at the end when you girls heard the Guitar screaming! That’s everyone’s reaction lol awesome job! I love how you two girls were at first “this is cool” and the end you felt like you went into some insane trance!
Y'all r so funny, I love watching y'alls interactions with each other!!😂 stay beautiful!
Hell 2 the yeah ... A classic!!!
Ladys I think you two should listen to three songs 1 this love 2 hollow 3 Domination all three by pantera
And make sure the domination is the Moscow one ofc
Come on guy. They're going to have manes by the time they finish that course.
The reaction to the very last guitar note made me smile helllla bad that was awesome
Mainly about losing a wife or gf and I will unlock my door and pass by the cemetary gates meaning coming to terms with the death and wanting to rejoin in the afterlife
Not it has nothing to do with rejoining in the after life. That's BS that popped up the last few years. Its about moving forward after death hence the chorus.
@@integrity101 everyone has their own opinions take care

Knew Pantera, before they became famous right here in the great state of Texas in Arlington and surrounding areas. One of the greatest Metal bands ever. Darrell was one of the greatest guitar players of all time. Pantera is Metal.
I love your editing!
This love - Pantera.
Mis hermosas 💕
The band had lost 2 friends back to back over 2 weeks who took their lives. The lyrics aren’t specific to that but to honor those friends and grieve the loss. They usually had the melody and guitar riffs written before Phil would slap lyrics down to create the song. #getchapull 🤘🏼
I'll like every reacts about Pantera from your channel, thank you girls!
Amazing song dime at his best
That last note is called a "Dive Bomb" on guitar. The legendary guitarist Dimebag Darrell was well-known for his crazy harmonics and dive bombs. Look up more videos on Dimebag Darrell. RIP.
He's sad over the death of a loved one. Feels incomplete without her. Can't move on and accept that she's gone. But now he understands that this mentality is unhealthy for him. He has to accept that she's gone and move forward with his life. "I will unlock my door and pass the cemetery gates" means that he's gonna find the courage to visit her grave at the cemetery and grieve properly, something that he's never allowed himself to do.
in the south when you pass the cemetery you generally lock the doors of the car so what he means is that he will unlock the door since he wants her to come to him even if she's dead
"Dimebag" Darrell and Vinnie Paul (Darrell's brother) embodied the heart & soul of Pantera...
Aaaaaaahhh, enfin!!!voilà le retour des plus belles filles de CZcams !😎😘😘😘
im livin for "wid out furrderrr adooo's"!!!
Someone looks enjoying the song...she can follow this song..

Some serious painful memories with this song. I buried my love to this. Thank you.
Maravillosa canción amo a PANTERA!!!
Hey! You still haven't checked out Judas Priest. Try "The Sentinel" for some in-your-face-metal, or "Beyond the Realms of Death" for a song that inspired Metallica to write "Fade to Black".
Hello ladies, I'm sure I'm not the first one by a long shot but:
Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song & Valhalla - Live at Wacken Open Air 2016
2 fantastic songs with a great contrast + amazing crowd work and stage presence at, once again, the fantastic festival that is Wacken.
2 cuties with taste 😊
For me “believe my word, I will unlock my door and pass the cemetery gates” means “Trust me I’m in so much grief without you that I will kill myself to be with you again” (past the cemetery gates)
Song I always interpreted he was singing from the perspective as adolescent
This song got me through my sister's suicide and every time I hear it I honor her and I will blast threw hell to be with her
Absolute great song. Wish Phil could still sing like this.
I missed these two ladies. And they came back with the reaction to one of my favorite songs. Great! Now, please react to Cowboys from Hell.
amazing song and one of Panteras best, great reaction, you've gotta react to Pantera - Domination Live, it's epic
Megadeth - in my darkest hour lyrics please please please...
