ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

I still watch this video everytime after I watch the original cause your lovely dear!
This lady is listening to this song for Phil's vocals, then realizes that she is listening to one of the most talented guitarist the world has ever known.
Who? Dimebag? He's not even top 20
@@ILoveGrilledCheese so??? Since when does something like that mean a goddamn thing???
@@courtneywhite8470 I think your reading comprehension needs some work
@@ILoveGrilledCheese no. My reading comprehension is just fine. I think it's your grasp on the English language that needs work.
Yup. When she got to the "wait for it" moment, it was bloody damn awesome!!! Shit, I've heard this song a million times, and I still wait for it!!! And I'm still blown away, every damn time!!$
"Are they still going"
Every Pantera fan felt a stab of pain right there
I had the chance to see him up close one last time on that very tour when he came to Seattle with damage plan. You ever get that rebel meets rebel album with dime and David Allan Coe? Pretty epic fiddle metal solos 😂. His last recordings.
Was just about to write the same comment... a wound that never heals...
I saw White Zombie open up for them back in the 90s. Man what a fun ass show
Indeed... Right through the heart 😭
Was in high school when it happened. We all took the day off and payed our respects P3 style. Listened to every song to "chill us down".
They may not still be going, but they'll forever be reigning.
R.I.P. Dime and Vinnie
i think phil and zakk wylde are doing a tribute tour for the abott brothers very soon

I absolutely loved how you recognised not only Phil’s excellent capabilities as a singer but also Dimes skills as a guitar god. #PanteraOrDie 🤘🏻
Rebecca: I feel like he's holding back.
Pantera fans: oh this is gonna be good....
Wait for it! 😆 lol 😆
Fuck yeah... that’s art right there baby... you know what’s to come when you hear dimebag play after first verse
Exactly
I said the same chit
I had to pause the video to laugh when she said that.
“Are they still going?” If you wanted to make a bunch of Metalheads teary eyed, that’s how you do it...
I hate terry eyes. They look so puffy.
I'm not crying! You're crying!
I can't see shit through these damned terry eyes. But my face is dry as fuck...
The terry eyes be tearing my terry folds.....my holdy holds. :'(
Michael Justice Seeing her reaction to Dimebag had my heart overflowing.
As a life long metalhead, I absolutely love seeing non-metal people having such a viscerally pleasurable reaction to metal at its finest. 🤘 RIP Abbott brothers.
Haha my ten year old daughter is like that. I'm teaching her guitar and drums. But when I started playing Pantera She's like who is that on guitar??!!! He's AWESOME "
It’s good to know at her age that your little girl is genetically AWESOME and can identify AWESOME immediately. My little girl is eleven and likes…Queen. Not sure how to take that. Could mean she’s awesomely creative! Could mean she’s a bit slow. I’m hoping it’s an awesomely creative stepping stone to her being like Rebecca but…metal.
@@shawnodom4079 I also taught my daughter drums and guitar. She never really took to them, but I also play piano. One day I was listening to Ozzy's "Mr. Crowley" and my daughter was in awe at the organ in the beginning. She begged me to teach it to her. I found the sheet music online, learned it myself and taught it to her. I created a monster. After a year she not only could read music, but had an excellent ear and could play stuff by just listening to it.
That is by far one of the best guitar solos ever played.
Same with floods
@@chasethepig3975 I think floods is some of Dimebag Darrell's best work I love that song and that album The Great Southern Trend Kill, but cemetery gates is amazing
I agree! Floods comes in right behind this and The Sleep solo slightly ahead of this in my opinion. The Sleep is my favorite solo of all time

"It's a very strange, euphoric feeling."
Welcome to metal
I read a study that said people who listen to metal have higher IQ scores than the average and people who listened to Rap/Hiphop have the lowest. This really fascinated me and I want to know how and why. I am guessing high IQ scores are probably also Opera and Classical or any Orchestral music because it can be very complex with such an array of instruments playing together also Classical with its many off springs can get so very technically busy with Cannons, counterpoint ect and also Bach's Goldberg Variations which is so ingenious as it is hard to understand how he held this many melodies all fitting together perfectly as it does. I have listened to some professors of music act almost speechless when they attempt to contemplate Bach's works...lol
For myself I am most impressed with simple melodies in popular music that just makes my heart feel the love. Songs like 'Here There And Everywhere' and/or 'God Only Knows' are just the most sublime melodies that I have ever listened to also 'Air On G String' or the chord work in 'Martha My Dear' another beautiful Beatles song also 'Yesterday' to 'For No One' Beatles again. They sound simple but to think up a melody like these is just like thinking up a new colour!! How do they do it...? To me this is the most difficult thing in music to accomplish moreso that technically busy lines of counterpoint ect..:)
@@susankappas1628 yeh but it can be hard to listen too. They mostly all sound the same with there tri tone scales and the garden sprinkler drum sound. Tic tic tic tic tic tic tic. I’m my town if you still listen to death and black, you just haven’t grown up yet.
@@susankappas1628 Trust me there ain’t no comfort zones in my life. I think I did not explain it so well, I was talking more from a guitarist point of view, metal is just so limited, as I have gotten older I want to hear the music breath, hearing a great tone from a guitar is also exiting, music that plays with the listeners ear and has great harmony and experimental melodies. Metal just gets old. I listen to metal from 12 to 18 and then moved on to more interesting music. But do still love me some metal now and then for that (child) that is still inside of me sometimes.
bang on brother
John Turner hell yeah
Rebecca, we are delighted to have introduced you to Dimebag Darrell, easily one of the greatest and most innovative guitarists in metal history. We all miss him very much.
Lots of people arguing in other comments that he’s not even top 20 guitarist and I’m just getting resentful reading them. 🤘🏽

My condolences to those who never got to see Pantera live.

I adore watching vocal coaches who've never heard this song react to it.
I’ve been a Pantera fan for over 20 years and seeing someone honestly and innocently react to them like this which such excitement genuinely warms my heart!
This song is a duet. Dime's guitar is the other voice in that duet.
Well said, man.
RIP Darrell and Vinnie Paul!

Pantera is one of the few bands that can evoke a range of emotions that no other band can...from raw powerful energy, to anger, and to absolute melancholy.
The guitar solo in this is one of the greatest of all times!
There’s no band like them, and never will be! 🙌🖤🔥🤘🔥🙏✨
I love how she tries to anticipate where the song will go but cannot. I also love the fact that she obviously is able to appreciate the music for what it is....... true art.

That fact that she said his solo was her favorite just makes my heart melt. Dimenag was just a legend and will always will be
I used to live in Arlington, TX. Partied a few times with them and honestly they were just down to earth. I wasn't a huge fan like all my friends, but they were equally as nice to me. I think my comment that I posted yesterday was lost so if you already responded just want to get it out again there for everyone. I Saw Pantera 3 times and the last tour and the live shows were legendary. A tight metal force of four amazing musicians. Phil's vocals and Dimes other worldly guitar playing lead them to being the biggest metal band of the 90's. Dime is thought by many as myself as the greatest metal guitarist ever to walk the planet. We wont stop until every vocal coach reactor is a metal head 🤘
It's a Noble mission
Can they be metal heads and ARMY (fans of BTS)? That would be nice. I just like seeing people stepping out of their prejudices and finding beauty in other musical genres
cringe
They don't have much choice. You want technicality, emotion, skilled song-writing and performance that doesn't rely on Autotune, there's precious little of that outside of metal these days. Seeing RVA react to Jinjer, Unleash The Archers, Nightwish etc. is always a pleasure.
I want to like this comment but it is at 420 so I can't bring myself to do it..
I knew when she got to the end of the song 10:03 ish that the vocals would blow her 🧠's out! goosebumps from My hometown Band PanterA! RIP Darrell and Vinnie
"are they still going?"
on this day, a single tear rolled down my cheek...
8:46 when a colorblind person see colors for the first time. That's what Dimebag's solo does. RIP legend

Kyle Brown thanks man it’s a rabbi smoking weed
I think everytime I watch this..., Rebecca's response is phenomenal
Imagine people listening to a song that came out close to 30+ years ago. Metal will never die, no matter how hard the music industry tries.
I think that my favorite thing about watching channels like this and Lost In Vegas is watching people hear these songs, songs that I've listened to hundreds of times, for the first time. It takes me.back to the first time that I heard them, and it gives me a renewed appreciation for them. What I wouldn't give to hear this song and have no idea what was coming next.
Exactly.
Also the way that you actually LISTEN to the song again not just skim it or have it on in the background when you're doing something else, but pay attention to it
Yes! Very true.
Yes, but this is one of those rare songs where you can get a little more out of it every time you hear it. There is so much going on in Cemetery Gates coupled with so much virtuosity that is reveals something new every time if you really take it in. This time, I heard some drum fills that hadn't registered previously. It's the gift that keeps on giving, like all truly great music.
This song still sends shivers down my spine!
