    I actually think this is O'Sullivan's most picture-perfect 147. After the first black he was inch perfect on practically every shot. Never had to consider playing for a different colour or pull out a great shot to keep it going at any stage.

    • @rs-qt1qg
      @rs-qt1qg Před 2 lety +13

      This is a bread and butter 147 for most players. The best 147's are the ones you actually have to develop reds. The one against Mark Williams in the 2008 WC is his best one of all time IMO.

    • @chriswilliamson7694

      @@rs-qt1qg erm 0:05, 1:15, 2:52 and 5:05 are all examples of developing reds. Just because they weren't on a cushion doesn't mean it doesn't count. It's the simplicity of the break which helps make it so smooth and picture-perfect anyway. Besides, I'd question how 'bread and butter' any 147 can be when it's done in the deciding frame of a UK semi final, against one of your great career rivals, having trailed for most of the match.....

    A maxi at 8 minutes and forty seconds 😱 and to have not one but TWO reds a few inches from the blue ball line, in a maximum attempt is even more impressive because the LENGTH the cue has to travel in those late shots on route down to the black. The red along the cushion however is the most underrated of all though. Most PROS miss that shot 8 times out of 10.
    But he never breaks his stride .. his rhythm is flawless.. And to do it at such a pressure moment - and against a tuff opponent.. Ronnie O’Sullivan is simply a one-of-a-kind athlete.. like Ted Williams in his prime: the Greatest Hitter Who Has Ever Lived. Simply the Best 🏆💪☺️

    Remember watching this live. Where has the time gone?! Ronnie the greatest player ever now, albeit that took a while to be decided from this tournament. And Mark has had an amazing career.
    Brilliant to watch!

    Respect for Ronnie ... Selby being a real sportsman by clapping! To be honest! Once opponent passes 80 point & you know! Game is done! It's better to enjoy that game & learn or improvise.
    I mean! Almost everyone do the same.

      Absolutely he is sooooo jealous of him by saying stuff like nobody scared of him any more on the t.v. But what you lot are not getting he doesn't want anyone to be scared of him. Never has he suffers from bad depression like tyson fury. He had a lot to live up to. When he was playing some one dont matter who he was expected to win so he had a lot on his soldiers. Listen if your so good an have broken world records. Then it will matter what you say but I guess your one of these trolls .anyway He IS THE BEST PLAYER OF THE CENTURY FOR ME!!!

      @Paul Simmonds Judd appears to have little respect for the legends of the game. Barring one faux par, which he apologised for, Ronnie has always shown great admiration to those that came before him, Reardon, Davis, Hendry etc. Judd is in his prime, mocking a 46 year old Ronnie is just embarrassing. Prime Ronnie would have wiped the floor with him.

    That fifth red! Thats something that only Ronnie plans to do, in that kind of crucial moment. Maybe Trump, but just maybe. You must have a balls that are size of that red. And confidence that measures in no real number. Absolutely his trademark and something that will stay in Selbys head forever. Just like that awkward frame in Ronnie's last World Champion title. I like to compere his clutch game with Djokovic. When it matters most you show your full potency and brilliance. Just like Novak against Roger in couple occasions. Just pure brilliance that freezes the mind of opponent. Like, WTF JUST HAPPENED! And the game is over just by one lucid move. Rocket, you are as much GOAT as it could be.
