Im waiting for wii sports 2: electro Boogaloo
You sir, win the comments section.
a nintendo land sequel that utilises phones for asymmetric multiplayer instead of the game pad would be great.
Yeah. Considering we've seen it recently, I don't see them ditching that approach. I'd imagine they'd want to innovate upon it more.
What did the Wii and Switch (the two highest selling Nintendo consoles of all time) have in common? They both launched with a brand new, major Zelda game on Day 1. The Wii U had nothing like that. Interestingly, the Switch launch lineup was almost completely barren outside of Zelda. I think Nintendo has realized that a major, core audience title is the way you create demand for the system on Day 1. And I think the priority #2 is to get a fun, casual title like Wii Sports on there right away as well, so your core audience can basically "sell" it to the casual gamer audience in their families.
I think Metroid Prime 4 certainly fits the bill for a big, core audience title for Day 1 (and the timing certainly seems to line up at this point). BUT I still wonder about Metroid's broader appeal. They've proven this generation that Metroid games can sell big, but can they sell big enough to be a system seller on Day 1? I think that's a different question.
Honestly, the more I think about it...just straight up launching Mario Kart 10 on Day 1 would pull in both audiences immediately. Especially if it looks like a big, spectacular upgrade to Mario Kart 8.
Metroid's broader appeal is def a question to ask. I just can't see the next mainline Zelda being ready for a Day 1 launch. That being said, there's been rumors that a new Zelda remake, akin to the Links Awakening one from a few years ago, may be in the works. IMO, it would have to be a remake on something like Link's to the Past.
Def agree about Mario Kart 10 though. They drop that, and some other party game, along with 1 additional 1st party release for the traditional gamers, I think they're set.
But who knows!
I love that intro!
I feel like Bandai-Namco has worked on every Mario Kart since they did the arcade game.
This is a good point that I missed. Thanks!
I would love to see ARMS 2 and Pokken Tournament 2
I missed out on the first Pokken Tournament, but I wouldn't mind a second one! I'd def pick it up! As for Arms, I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I would hope they try to improve on it. I enjoyed the game, but it didn't have a lot of repetitive play for me. I do like seeing when Nintendo brings new IPs though!
This June we'll be holding a Nintendo Direct on the Nintendo Switch 1 software lineup for the second half of 2024, but please note that there won't be any mention of the Nintendo Switch 1 successor during
Plot Twist: The Switch 2 launches with the Master Chief Collection.
This would be awesome. If MS continues to push the Xbox brand into a platform vs console, then it's just a matter of a time! I'm sure they'd love to bring Infinite over as well!
I respect how cautious Nintendo is being with the upcoming hardware and new games but Metroid Prime 4 was teased with the original Switch reveal. I hope the game is progressing in a good way and it doesn't end up like Duke Nukem Forever.
Also Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD needs to be freed from the Wii U. They're great ports of some of the best Zelda titles.
New zelda remakes or remasters are definitely given. I just feel like they should have been announced already. But maybe that's what we get in the June announcement instead of a hardware announcement? Zelda ports/remakes? And some other Wii U ports? As for Metroid Prime 4, it def won't turn into Duke Nukem Forever. But they def are taking their time with considering it's already been rebooted in dev once. Happy for them to take as much time as they need though.

bandi namco also helped co-develop Mario Kart 8, so your prediction with 10 is pretty wrong if your only reasoning is bandi being there.
Fair enough! 😂
When can a fella like myself see a new Star Fox game? An Assault continuation specifically. Frugal man I am, I'll buy day 1 for that.
I'm right there with you. I never played Zero, but I've been waiting for it for a while... I'm one of those sad people who even enjoyed Star Fox Adventures! lol
i actually think Elden Ring will be a third party launch title for the system. now we know the switch 2 has 12GB of ram and is more powerful than a PS4 pro, there’s no better move to get across the message that nintendo’s newest system has power than having a definitive edition (with all the DLC) of an incredibly popular game of the year winner. other games like that years call of duty will also most likely be a launch title.
Oh 💯 on Elden Ring. In fact, I imagine we will see Dark Souls 2 and 3 as well at some point. Just a no brainer.
I hope that the launch titles are great, but Nintendo could have easily launched the Switch 2 with the line-up of Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 3, FE: Engage, Xenoblade 3, and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. That is a god-tier lineup, so I hope they give us something equally as impressive.
Also re Mario Kart - Hopefully Nintendo are working on getting some decent characters into their roster for MK10, because that's been the biggest weakness of the series so far - barely any fun or interesting characters.
Agreed on all accounts! Thanks for watching!
Yea all these would make sense
Right? Probably a mix of wishful thinking and reasonable reason.. now, Metroid Prime 4 is the only caveat, but it's largely predicated on what happens here in June!
@@LateToGame Metroid 4 def gon be switch 2 launch title. I think we’re gonna see prime 2 and 3 remasters and the last batch of 3ds and Wii U games including xenoblade chronicles X and pushmo etc maybe link between worlds etc this direct
console announced!
Yup! I think we will get a full reveal in October and a spring launch. Working on a new video for the June Direct, and what to expect!
Mario Kart 10?
We just going to skip 9?
I believe Nintendo considers either that AR Toy racer, or the mobile game, as 9. Hence why internally they're referring to the sequel to 8 deluxe as 10. It is definitely confusing!
@@LateToGameHmmm
Somehow i doubt they are referring to it as 10 at all.
I found it weird at first as well, but everything I've read suggests that's the naming convention at the moment!
NO I like Bad Nintendo Switch 2 🤡💩👎🏻🤢

I can't tell if you're excited or not for the Switch 2.. haha.. but thanks for watching!
