Bill McKiegan, is a fine ambassador for his product and a pleasure to listen to.
And thanks to Michael and The Absolute Sound for this great interview.
As a person who has been an audio enthusiast for 45 years or so, it still took my breath away when this opened up with the Wilsons standing there lording over the room. I would dearly love to spend some time in that room.
I'm with you on that point 100%!!
Fully regulated amps are very under-rated these days. HUGE design upside. Well done!
I for sure followed the old Krell brand to the new D'Agostino brand by adding the Momentum Phonostage to my big Krell system, and what a match it was - Just amazing! Thank you Dan for your amazing amplifiers! All the best from Jk in Sweden.
Man, this is really nerdy, and we love it…Loved this 🔊😂🎶
Great interview. Lots of good information and entertaining discussions. And a very manageable length!
Fremer with the Voices, I luv it!!!
Loved the conversation, but detailed cutaways of the products would have benefited this greatly.
Immensely!!
Great interview :)
I think Michael need to book a tour of the factory and show off his soldering skills under Dan's supervision 😀
I'm up for that! I built a Heathkit color TV kit....point to point wiring, vacuum tubes etc.
@@trackingangle929 I would love to see you assemble and review say a Nelson pass class a low wattage amp camp amp or another kit from diy audio someday. Not the same but still would be fun from a legendary designer!
Very impressive gear
Awesome content
Isn't the title wrong on this video? It's not a Momentum 800 but a Relentless 800.
Magnifico.🌡️🌡️🌡️🌡️🌡️🌡️
Bellisimo!
@Michael Fremer, i know you have the same speakers i see there and you use the darTZeel mono 468. Witch sound do you prefer? I’m also client of Wilson and darTZeel but in a smaller size 😅 I have the 8550 MK2 and the Alexia 2. I prefer the sound of the darTZeel instead the integrated of DA, its more musical to my ears.
Witch 🧙♀️
Which 🤔
@@n.lyndley.9889 yes, my mistake, but he understand ;)
With $40k into a strong Mc amp, Revel 228's, an audio-technica MCC cart, and the RIGHT ROOM, I'm probably at 95% of this setup. Don't get me wrong though, I'd still like to hear that DD/Wilson audio jewelry.
$195K per pair. I'll take two. :)
He said $195 a pair.
Michael I own an Oppo Blu-ray player and it broke down and I can't find anywhere to fix it I live in Philadelphia could you possibly help me out
Send it back to Oppo. I think they do service.
If ever their was the fine watch making equivalent for audio it would be Dan's line of amplifiers and preamps.
Loose screws or nuts? Come to my house and hear my PS AUDIO crap! And this was after service!
I appreciate quality vendors---even if I can't afford them.
I'm trying to figure out, what would be the name of the flagship amplifier that will eventually follow the Relentless Epic? I'd suggest DOMINANCE. Then the upgrade, TOTAL DOMINANCE. Next upgrade, ABSOLUTE DOMINANCE.
Great info and reviews… I never liked Krell … Today I run Belles Class A mono blocks….
Big power was Krell but never accurate sound for me..
Fantastic value for money. :)
8:03 $195 a pair. Great deal.
Why do people who are allegedly so concerned with high end audio have such poor sound quality on their videos? Laughably pathetic.
I use Rode wireless microphones. They are highly regarded for portable use....and "allegedly" tells me all I need to know about you.
Their specialty is reproduction, not recording.
220, 221, whatever it takes
5 dollars?
Mikey getting old
Beats the alternative. i can still do 3 sets of 60 pushups. And you?
Two absolute wayne kerrs.
Working with a copper is not worth mentioning for such price level product, obviously nothing elese serious they can bring up as a price explanation. The same is valid for electronic components, why not building ones and build a huge stock as Audio Note does and then no excuses to hear. I don't like nor take any company seriously when hearing excuses. Excuses are incompetence or lack of willingness to make things right.
Yo, another black CZcamsr's been documenting this system - see we do have audiophile taste(s). All respect due to Mr Fremmer though.
Do you have their channel @? Also, what does their race have to do with anything???
@@DBravo29er yes, loads of
@@donpayne1040 You still haven't answered my question: what does sub-dividing the hobby by race contribute to the hobby? I actually don't have any caucasian audiophile friends; I feel no need, and have no desire, to slice them up into groups based on our varied ethnicities.
Next, would you please share the @ for the other reviewer of this system that you mentioned? I would really love to see what they have to say about it. Not finding it in CZcams search.
true high end, no compromise. Don't hate it only because you don't have money to buy it.
"True high end", can be DIY, money, moot. I now prefer OTLs both Class AB and Single Ended, so I build them from Kits. Same with DACs. Loudspeakers, well the Lowther DX 65's, Raal 140-15D's and Jordan JX 150 ND II's cost me 4500 bucks. "Sweat equity", a little, 3rd semester Physics, Partial Differential Eqs, JAES empiricism, soldering and power tool familiarity, and watching Michael and His take on the state of Industry. Or pay others to build for you and the cost is a bit ridiculous. But, "Hate"? No place in the hobby. Its about the joy from the Notes.
I'm sure it's a perfectly audibly transparent amp, as are many other amps for a fraction of the price. They definitely look cool. I love how after an 8 hour upgrade their flagship amps are so much better that it is instantly recognizable. Of course after 8 hours and the anticipation bias effects it sounds so much better. I'd like to see all these different levels of performance put to the test in level matched, time synchronized blind comparisons. We all know what will happen to these big break throughs under proper comparison conditions. They disappear like magic.
Sounds like the compromise is technology. Hoarding obsolete parts.
@@scottwheeler2679 Why these blind test proponents ever use actual blind folk? Their hearing is for fact highly acute, tiny differences in sound is how they see in life. The lab coat clipboard wannabes would die a miserable death... No loss
high-end gear excites passions for good AND ill, lol
terrible sound!
it’s so weird.
i don’t want to be Another Mean Online Guy but damn.
is THIS The Absolute Sound, are we sure about that
I use a Rode wireless microphone system that's considered very good for these purposes. I think the problem is iMovie. Since this video I've been using another editing program and getting much better results.
The fact that D’Agostino doesn’t have a clue about how EMI/RFI interference doesn’t impact SQ is enough to know that they don’t know much about ultra high-end audio. Pass.
