Really good instruction. Yes they make coatings for matte paint. Dr. Beasleys make a coating that's for matte paint. Yes....do not polish matte paint!
Yes you can coat black trim with same ceramic coating. Make sure it's clean, and NO polishing.
As far as chrome exhaust, there are ceramic coatings that are heat resistant. It would be same coating that you'd use on wheels due to the high temperatures from brakes.
Also very good idea to use 2nd microfiber towel after you've "leveled" the coating from first wipe down. This will ensure you won't get high spots.(dark areas where coating wasn't leveled properly).
I've done many many ceramic coatings and the Pro-sumer grade coatings are getting better easier to apply.
Yes equipment and products are expensive, but a complete paint and clearcoat do is 10 times more expensive!
I used Armor Shield IX on on my 2019 DCT Tour about a month ago after a full paint correction. I also did all my black plastic. The plastic retained its matte finish but is just a little darker. I also removed my windshield and coated it. It looks awesome. 2 coats on everything and still lots of product left in the bottle. I'm hoping this keeps the scratching of this soft Honda paint to a minimum. So far so good. I also did the chrome on my exhaust. Candy Ardent Red looks great all glossy.
Looking at getting a brand new 2022 Goldwing Tour next week. It's gonna be the black one so I'm planning on making a ceramic coat the very first thing I do on the bike. I have a lot of detail experience with all the prep but I've never done a ceramic coat. I always have used Sealants. So hopefully my installation process goes as well as yours.

I kind of look at it like this. They only made the F6B since 2013. The only difference is the trunk. That's now the goldwing. And it will stop one day just like it started. I guarantee it. Now the tour, on the other hand, will not go nowhere. it's all started since 1975. It's the best bike on the planet. Don't see many BMWs from 1975-1985 on the road like an old wing. I enjoyed the ride with ya. Be safe.
This looks like a winter job to me :) Looking forward to maybe doing this to my GL

My 2022 Blue Goldwing Tour has some decorative edge stripping to accent the paint. It’s great looking, but I think the edge stripping may be vinyl. Will the ceramic coating work on vinyl ? Thanks for this excellent video.

Very good Cruiseman. What was your thoughts on the Honda emblems and rubber gaskets next to the paint. That is did you leave a small gap to keep the coating off of those areas? Thanks
Honda emblems OK. I tried to avoid rubber, but if it does get on there, once it dries if the rubber flexes, the ceramic will just flake off.
A had my 2021 BMW K1600GTL ceramic coated when new by a professional detailer. Although I absolutely love it, would have done it myself if I'd seen this. Quite expensive. By the way. I'll be in Fort Worth next week to meet my new and 1st grandson.

Avalon says it's ceramic is ok for Matte. It looks great on my F6B. NO shine just a tad darker.
Of course, NO correction can be done. Just IPA'ed and coated
My new 2022 Goldwing has blue paint with (looks like vinyl) accent stripes.. Will the ceramic coating work on the vinyl ?

Chris, just out of interest how much of the product is left in the bottle after you have given the bike it’s first coating. Is there enough left to re-coat the bike again in the future? Always look forward to your videos, greetings from Nottingham U.K.
It probably only took 15% of the bottle to do the bike. You could do 3 or 4 motorcycles with one bottle.
I also did mine and agree at least 3-4 bikes
Answer to question: store unused ceramic coating in cool dry place. Make sure bottle is closed. Shelf life can be 6-12 months after bottle has been opened. If you want to use more coating, take older rag and clean top of bottle off to remove dryed residue. If you don't, small crystals will go on applicator and scratch your paint.

I just bought a 2022 Goldwing Trike from DFW Honda and I have an appointment to get it ceramic coated on January 16, 2023. Is ceramic coating the windshield and instrument clear lense a wise idea?
I would not do it just of what it takes to REMOVE the ceramic coating when the time comes.

I did not. But I am considering it.
I had my K1600GTL professionally coated , and he put ceramic on everything but the engine and exhaust.
The wheels would be off the bike for that?

I think it depends on how careful you are. It never hurts to tape them off, for sure.
Yes. Tape off areas you don't want polished! Matte paint will gloss up from d.a. polishing!
