Excellent ideas. I've watched a few of these mods today. Your idea for drilling the holes in the nipple with cap is a real money saver over a ball valve. Also, I like your idea for the base instead of ramming a nipple up into the hopper. Now I have to modify my parts list again!
Thanks. You don’t have to drill so many holes like I did. The cap will be almost all the way closed anyway. Yes, I try to save money when I can, but still have the same function. Good luck.
I liked that mod too.
Excellent video, just the basic "how to" vid, thanks for not playing annoying music
I SUBSCRIBED!!!👍👍
Thanks for watching and subscribing!!
Here's a sub for that. Will be doing this upgrade tomorrow. Bought the cabinet last week and it hasn't worked right yet. Even did the siphon tube upgrade. Was thinking the gun was crap but seeing this saved the day. Thanks.
It’s not perfect, but it did help...a lot.
@@motofun72 I'm hoping it solves my issue. I get a full tube of media to the gun but then nothing sprays out...its like it just jams.
It helped great. I can actually get media through the gun now...it still wants to jam up after a few second. I clear the gun and do the same thing again. I'm thinking maybe I need to add a water separator to the gun. Any advice?
@@jasonbaker4842 what media do you use? I use glass beads. What psi are you feeding to the gun?
Thanks for the information, just did my valve yesterday and works great. Great video.
Awesome! I’m happy with mine too. Help me by subscribing.

Nice work! Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks.
nice work. I was going to buy a pre-made one as well, but they are sold out everywhere...so I just got some fittings as well, and then welded it to the bottom plate. 1000% best modification from that stupid siphon tube.
I agree. Good idea on welding the bottom plate.
Neat. I’m in process doing the same but look into the Eastwood foot pedal kit and see what you think. I’m adding it to mine soon.
ku4ap I’m still up in the air about adding a pedal. Are you changing out your gun too?
Excellent video I'm glad that the place I was going to order the complete valve and hose were on back order. The one I was looking at was $129. For whatever reason as soon as they post they have them in stock they run out again. I also hit the like button and subscribe. I figure that's the least I can do for someone who saved me a little under $100. This was perfect timing to see the video I have to go to Home Depot tomorrow and I was going to be in the plumbing section.
Thanks for subscribing. It’s always good to save money!!
There's a website and also on ebay. You can buy the machined aluminum valve for around 50 bucks
A very good video and thank you for not having a bunch of screaming so called music in the video. I have subscribed.
Thanks. Thanks for subscribing too!
What’s the specs on your compressor ?
What size air compressor do you have?
Also do you have to use metal? Could I use PVC or do you think it would burst?
I’m thinking about trying this tomorrow
I've just done the same mod, for some reason I'm not picking up any media no matter how much PSI or how open or closed my valve is, any idea what im doing wrong?
Great video. I added the same feed. Having an issue where the material isn’t flowing up the tube ? Any ideas. I changed out the threaded screw for a valve and it’s still now working. Thinking my tube is too thick 5/8” ID. Thoughts
Hmm. Not sure. I closed all mine up and while it was on, I turned opened it to find the best flow. The cap is more closed than open. Good luck!
I wouldn't have reduced the pipe to 3/4. And you should have just used a 1/4 turn valve instead of the cap like that.
Interesting. I was wondering about the 3/4" because I picked up 1" today. Think I'll stick with that.
Let me ask you this. It's still seems like the gun has to be too close to the part you're cleaning. Do you think another gun or perhaps a different nozzle would produce a different result? I'm not sure if you experimented with changing the gun or not.
I enjoyed your video you provided some very good information and I definitely made sure to hit the like and subscribe. I figure anyone who's willing to share a good idea deserves giving showing from appreciation for you taking the time to make the video.
Thank you. I haven’t changed my gun yet, but I have heard a better gun helps. Mine does the job and I’m cheap, do I haven’t changed out the gun (yet).
I hold gun about 3 inches away, at the max. The type of media makes a big difference too. Good luck!
