Use King or any character with a good kick reversal. You can completely shut down Eddy with them.

I haven’t played tekken in 7 years I just got tekken 8 2 days ago and Im a kuma main I will honestly say tekken is hands down the hardest fighting game I have ever played I dont just mean for controls just for overall understanding punshies and turn placement Like man its impossible for me to talk and play Fully So I definitely understand I played rank on my first day😭day 3 with kuma today Im a ranger rank Imma lock in on this game😮💨
Just started with Eddy today and got to Mighty Ruler. Can't wait until his hype is over for him and the next character drops so these band wagons will stop playing him. Now as far as his placement, he's gonna end up low tier like always. He's so readable. And you can interrupt both of his stances once he gets into them with heat and RD. Eddy mains are going to have to play super solid at high levels to get things going. It really sucks that they changed so much about him from previous Tekkens. DB1+2 doesn't bounce, 3~4 is gone. No good combo damage from B14, 3+4, and you don't stay in Negativa unless you're moving. But I'm a Zaf main so I'm used to getting my main shat on. But , I'll make him work. Waiting on Lei now.

It’s 33333 and luckily very punishable every hit is minus on block only mids and highs with lots of highs to duck for a ws launching and the 6th hit is always a low (if they’re just mashing it) if you’re not confident in ducking
So interestingly enough, it looks like DLC characters starting from beginner is only for early access users. I bought Eddy from the store and he started at assailant just like all the rest of my characters are supposed to.

1. I picked up the game recently (don't have online just yet) I've picked Zafina as my main and I was wondering if you know any channels or people I should tune into to pick up some pointers besides training mode
And question 2: would you consider or have plans on making a video about match up knowledge or a video about not necessarily a tier list but in your opinion, the strengths and weaknesses of certain characters. I feel like it could be a good or at least fun discussion video

@@Ritorikal honestly it does. I’ve always hated fighting Eddie, and it’s worse now since you can’t even use the tools they give you to learn to fight him unless you actually own him. And I don’t want to buy him or the season pass until I see a character I want, because I’m never going to play him.

He’s broken low down but the main source of his spam is really punishable when you know the match up so higher up people shouldn’t complain as much; they just shouldn’t have let all of us past red drop to beginner and nuke 60% of the player base with matches they can’t win

You should use Eddy’s d4,3 it’s not a natural combo but it is on counter hit and a lot of people get hit with the mid anyways. If you land it, you get a free crouch throw

Rage arts come out at 8 frames so for example if you get tagged or block a move that’s at least +6 your rage art is now 14 frames which is why his 12 frame grab beat you out and killed you
Is he able to get stacks only from doing certain moves/follow ups or can he just do that in neutral? I haven't played this patch yet but I want to know if giving Eddy space would be detrimental.

I bought this game exactly 1 week ago (bc of u and afros vids looked amazing compared to mk1) just got to red ranks w reina 78-121 record in ranked n bro nah this is my first tekken only played dbfz and mkx 11 and 1 and I swear to god this climb was not that difficult bc most ppl just mash even on plus frames but eddy was so annoying dude nearly destroyed my experience to have players skilled 180k tekken prowess in my beginner ranks was such a bad decision from Bandai. In the time where I buy the game 2-3 days later everyone complains and calls it trash guess I had to hold that love the game tho

Once you have eddy or any future dlc just get a promotion with your main or de-rank then get back up and it’ll boost eddy back. Hopefully that gets patched though and a dlc will be auto ranked up

I can't say if they are really ancestral, but I don't think they are. In "rodas de capoeira", which means capoeira circles, the fighters' movements are always accompanied by music, especially the berimbau, the instrument that Eddie plays at the beginning, so I think those shadows are just musicians representing a capoeira circle.

Personally I like Eddy a lot, he’s easy to play hard to master. You can get far just spamming 33333 but they’ve made every hit negative frames and you can crouch the 4th-5th hits getting a full launch or block the 6th hit low. Idk I’m enjoying facing him I feel like he’s a lot more fun to face now then 7

Lucky you. I eat mid launchers cause of how deceptive his Negativa is. He looks like he will do a hellsweep/snake edge like move and then blam! He rises with a launcher and the built in combos make me eat big damage for it. I catch the lows a lot too. But I understand that everyone has their own issues. But I would rather eat lows for 20-30 damage than the launchers I eat for 60-70.
I like how much more accurate to Capo he is, but the balance is....questionable.

F 3+4 has bad range? The heck? Consider the reward you get off it, it’s range is insane plus it has built in evasion. It’s really fucking good.
He gets the same exact reward any other character with a similar move gets (which there are plenty of.)
The only difference is he has worse range for sometimes better evasion. Seems like a fair enough trade off. It's a good move, but far from overpowered in my opinion. I think because of the lack of range and speed I'd rather have Jin's Demon Paw lol. Same reward, also safe, better range, also a mid, 14f instead of 19f. Feel me?
