- Founded in the 1970s, hawker stall Ah Hui Big Prawn Noodle serves a flavourful broth made with prawn heads, pork bones, and spices. To extract the maximum flavour from the ingredients, the soup is simmered for hours, resulting in a rich and savoury broth that is the hallmark of this dish. Cooked to perfection, the prawns provide a sweet and succulent flavour, while the pork ribs add depth and richness to the broth. What's more, the noodles soak up the broth's flavours, making each bite a delight to savour.
The stall's signature is BIG TIGER prawns. Prawns are cooked upon order to retain its freshness and crunchy texture. Pork ribs and pig's tail are also mouthwatering bowls on the menu.
For the last 50 years, the stall has stood the test of time, serving delicious and quintessential part of our culinary heritage. Try it before mid Jul 2023 as the stall would be closing at Balestier Market - till 2nd generation Mary finds another place.

The Balestier stall closed in July 2023. Rent issues. Ah Hui history goes back to 1980's when they were in Hong Lim Complex.

Best prawn mee is in xiamen......no one can beat their broth there.

@@HappyCat.CarlNeo most prawn noodle's origin from fujian. The beach road prawn mee founders came from xiamen. But the seafood is a lot fresher there compared to Singapore maybe that's why it's tastier.
