Which prop do you recommend?
642 or a 442 octura, or a prather 220 or a 440/3 all work good from my testing
Wow, that was awesome! Really need to tweak mine and get back to the lake. Great video!!
Thanks Greg! This is an Awesome boat. Run 4s in it, it does fine. Speeds around 45-48mph and temps all in check running the stock raw prop. 👊🏻
Love it always pushing the envelope with Chris Hoffman's props 💪💪
Thanks bro.
That’s pretty awesome dude 👍
Thanks Bro!
That's awesome!! But honestly I would love to see more sonicwake v2 videos.
Thanks! Just putting some of the Recoil content out since it's release day coming soon. Sonicwake v2 videos will be coming again soon.
Yup I need that ✔ Awesome 👍🏻
Thabks!
Awesome 💯✔✌
Thanks!
Nice video, that things flyin!! Any recommendations for a basher prop for the recoil 2?
Thanks! The Prather 220 is a good basher prop for this boat. high 50's 4s and high 40's 3s were the speeds if I recall with one from dasboata. Watch temps on 4s though.

Very cool bro!
Whats kind of 4s do you use?
Thanks!
gens ace 3800 I believe was in this run.
Yessssir let’s get it
Appreciate it big bro!
Bonjour 👋 super vidéo !!! Merci !
J’ai lu les commentaires et j’aimerais savoir si un an plus tard tu n’as pas eu de problème avec la 4s 3800mah et le esc d’origine ?
Thanks!
Hi great run, what Dasboata prop are you using?
Thanks! His "Recoil 2" prop best to email him at dasboata@aol.com
Nice speed! Can you tell me which gps you have? Thx

Mr Mad..
Id like to run mine stock with a 4S batery..up to how many mah should this 4S batery be in order not to loose the self righting ? Thanks
in the 3800mah range
@@MrMad2424 thanks !
I just ordered that prop you mentioned……. Is a 4s 5000 battery too heavy for this boat? Thanks.
I wouldn't run over a 4,000mah myself. because the battery tray will probably break out in a crash.
Did you mess with the strut or trim tabs at all i talked with chris today and got the prop comin
For the fast recoil 2 prop needed to lower the stinger a couple mm. tabs not much was needed.
Another awesome run, got my sonic wake today , it has EC5s on it but I have a couple of EC3 to EC5 , can I use these , I’m running it on 2S till I get my new EC5 batteries, Thankyou.
Thanks! The ec3 connectors won't hold up and will melt off. The EC5's are barely enough to handle the amp draw. You can try it but be prepared to rescue it because the wires come unsoldered.
@@MrMad2424 ill order some EC5 batteries to be safe Thankyou.
@@rickbarg3980 That's your best move.
@@MrMad2424 what battery keep every thing spectrum 3S 5000 100c spectrum says 50 c
Those would be good. higher the c rating the better.

I was wondering if you know of a Trailer that will fit this boat. I have a Truck that is Black and Gold and this would look stellar being pulled with it.
This one might work. Pretty pricey tho. store.rc4wd.com/BigDog-110-Dual-Axle-Scale-Boat-Trailer_p_4479.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwuLShBhC_ARIsAFod4fIHNlERcXwEunUb0yaExazVRc9oAMas8oPATb0dFzj5qMUQp7HMnTIaAg8NEALw_wcB

@@MrMad2424 Thank you!
Recoil 2 is 62 miles!! That's really great speed.👍💯
Thanks.
Hey MrMad do you mind sharing what your setup is to hit 62MPH!! ON stock with 4s and a prop ? I'd greatly appreciate it I'm pretty new in the rc boat community maybe a 1yr now but just started actually just started running the boats that I have I've watched Ironclad Bigby's Channel probably 3 years straight every video ever posted to get some knowledge or even a little know-how on a couple of things and he won't even acknowledge me so I don't know maybe the RC boat communities different than how I took it as I must be all kept secrets and it's just a competition or I'm just heading up the wrong people but either way if you can help me out with that information I totally appreciate it if not no hard feelings ain't mad at you thank you God bless and be safe...PS what's the exact battery mah? And c out put?
Yes stock electronics and a prop swap. 4s 3800mah gens ace 45c on the battery and the prop is the recoil 26 prop from dasboata. Best to email him at dasboata@aol.com to check availability. Sorry for the late response.
@@MrMad2424 no worries about late response thankyou for the info greatly appreciated!!!!
You have a link for the upgrade prop ?!
dasboata@aol.com is Dasboata's email. best to reach him there.
Imagine how quick it would be if you could get it to go for a longer run at full throttle without it flipping
Gonna work on that next time.
@@MrMad2424 I do think the self righting is cool. Do t need the recover boat. ;)
@@MrMad2424 what size and pitch do you think Chris has done on that prop ?
its around 42mm
Awesome run man, but why is it that you won't tell us what size prop you are running on it? You achieved the goal so share the love man!!!
Thanks! This prop was developed for this boat by myself and my prop guy who sells it. If I told you what number it was then it would mean nothing because it is a custom. It's sold by dasboata props if you want one under a name. It's called the "recoil 2" prop. Best to email him at dasboata@aol.com if you want one. He ships worldwide.
@@MrMad2424 yeah I tried contacting him and he told me that he didn't have anything in stock for me. He told me the same thing a few months ago when I tried to buy some props from him so I guess I'm going to have to go to my guy over in Ukraine to get this boat prop made. It's got to be better than a 441 to achieve the speeds on 4S and not overheat the electronics to a point where they will burn after a couple of passes
@@maximumthrottlerc5939 Better to get on a waiting list if he has one going. Supply and demand has slowed up production a lot.
wowwww !!!!mr mad !! does that flex shaft hold 4S no problem?
Could u do a vid on the volantex sr65
I've got a sr80 video on my channel. I'll have to check out the sr65
Thanks
Just got the boat like 2weeks ago ! Could you please share link to the prop you’re using and thanks so much
Badass boat my first boat ever n im in love !! Lol
Happy boating everyone !!!!!!!
Its a custom prop from dasboata. best to email him at dasboata@aol.com ask for the fast recoil 2 prop
What the largest battery size (4S) this boat can hold?
id sat a 3800mah-4000mah 4s would be about all it would want to carry. I have ran the 3800 gens ace and it fit well.
@@MrMad2424 I ended up fitting a 4s 6200mAh and it holds the battery nicely. Not sure how it will perform with the extra weight but as least the run time will be longer
@@MY-to9ht Be careful. You will most likely break the battery out if you crash with that big battery.
Where can I get one of those dad boys props?
www.dasboata.com best to email him at dasboata@aol.com
where can i get this prop
email dasboata at dasboata@aol.com tell him you want the fast Recoil 2 prop Mr Mad uses.
I told you broo that it would run the 60's but already at that level of speed at some point it will break
Yes sir you did. 👊
Anybody have issues with the esc mine burnt up 5days after purchase! And apparently there are no other ESC’s that work with the stock motor so you are stuck with the crappy 100 amp ESC from what I’m told
Crash speed is most times higher than running speed. So this didn't count. I believe that the propeller is fast, but a clean run will be better for result than is true.
regrets on the v2 i just bought just based on being able to use less battery and better handling...
V2 is great.
Need to show a video of speed without a crash to be credible, i once flipped a boat at around 80kph and the gps showed 421kph.
There is a clean 57mph run on my channel if you search for it. The boat has been 66mph with no crash since this run as well. Haven't posted video.
Das boot ist doch bei 100kmh nicht mehr fahrbar ! meine HK Outerlimits kann ich ohne probleme dauervollgas fahren wenn ich weite kurven fahre und wenig Wellengang herscht
in the 60 mph range is pushing the limits on handling for a 26 inch mono for sure.
I think you can't have both at the same time. Either short runs with full 4s power, where you can experience the high speed and hope that the small boat will actually right itself after capsizing. Can be stressful. Or with 3s continuous full throttle with wide curves and enjoy cruising!
