Other self-righting boats have a flood chamber on one side, with holes in the back. Once they flip over, you just drive it again. The water comes out the back right away. No need to come in
I would check and see if you have a grub screw in the side of the motor mount some of them shipped without it. So waters just leaking out the water cooling.
Appreciate the video. with the low voltage there should be a program manual to change the low voltage protection to 3.4 or 3.5 volts to cell which is what i recommend and the battery gets hot because lipos work better when they get warmer and you are pulling 20-40 amps out of the battery so it will get warm but 130 isn't bad for a lipo to hit but if it gets too hot to hold then you should check on the battery. And some boats work with self retightening by using the prop ant motor rotation to flip it because my react 17 is dry as a bone on the inside but it flips quite a bit .
So I learned this months after filming the video. But once the batteries got back to ambient temperatures and I checked the cells again they were at 3.45-3.55V
The Proboat Recoil 18 goes around the same speed plus runs around 7 minutes runtime. You can buy the SMC 1800 lipo batteries cost $9.95. Such a great deal for a RTR for $199.
All proboat as far as i know when it hits LVC will only work at about half throttle applied and should be more than enough to get it back. I think it says that in manual too. Also LVC cutoff voltage can be adjusted with ESC and remote but easier done with a program card one can purchase seperately
Is this bone stock? Debating getting this boat to have a boat for a Freind or family to come out I have a sonic wake built up want get something little smaller thinking if this
Hey great video, really appreciate the honest review. I have this boat as well and it is awesome. I had the same issue with the ESC lvc. I think its definitely set too low from the factory. I have started timing my runs until I get a system that has telemetry.
Yeah it’s kinda sketchy how low they let the LiPos get! Since this video I ran it like 8 more packs… now my ESC I think is acting up, its getting stuck in half throttle and nothing I can do about it. Thank god I figured that out with the boat right off the shore in water still. Haven’t messaged proboat yet but I need to as I wanna get it running and back on the water while I still can
When your batteries are hot, they read lower than when they are cool. Wait for your battery to cool off and check it again with the battery tester.
I posted this video a while ago. Since then yes I have learned this. Pinned the comment tho so others hopefully see it

Sonic wake 36 inch got one it’s great debating getting this recoil 2

Yeah so solid! RC boats are SO much fun too!

Would there be any way 4s 1300 Mh batt would fit and or not fry the esc?
A lot of ppl run 4S LiPos in these and since it’s water cooled I think you’d be fine. Just bring a temp gun and check it after a minute of run time
Horizon and Proboat were cool enough to start making them with the SLT3 Transmitter.
True
Great video what was the other prop you used for faster speed please
Dasboata is the name
Now I just have to figure out how to sneak it in without my gf finding out 👹
Lmao I could message you on Instagram saying that you won it in a giveaway LOL
Is it really that slow on LVC? Other vids make it look like it has enough juice to get to shore.
When it hits LVC I just went easier on the throttle so it wouldn’t die
Can you run a 5000mah 3s for a longer run time? Or too heavy?
I think it would throw off the balance of the boat but I’m not too sure tbh

Bone stock yup. I’ve read they can handle 4S too. Or you can put a dasboata prop on and get it to do 42mph
