- In this episode of 10th Scale Garage, we take a look at a couple of the best budget spec brushless RC boats. With the release of the new Proboat Recoil 2 26" boat, I wanted to take a look at some of the other budget options, including the dee RC Challenger for under $100. Brushless power, self righting, and fully ready to run, it boasts some of the same headlines as the Recoil 2, but less than half the price. We also take a look at the volantex Atomic RC catamaran. These boats are tons of fun on the water and won't break the bank.

Hi, Just wanted to mention I have the Feilun ft012 and a Deerc2104. The Feilun was $84 and got the Deerc on Prime day for $79, $20 off.They are about the same speed but the Deerc seems a bit better made and a bit faster. The cool thing about the Dee is it is completely self rigthing. You can bash it with tight turns at full throttle. Through rough waves and it will keep going. Also has led lights,low battery alarm (works great) and was completly dry after several runs. It also is brightly colored to see from far away. Nice remote also. Love your vids.I think the Deerc is the perfect buget boat.
I bought 2 and bring them in vacation to cuba and gave it to the workers they loved it.

I’m a total sucker for catamarans lol. I’ve never been Rc-boating, mainly because i don’t have anywhere close to run them, but I’ve always loved the look of the Traxxas M41 and I think that banggood catamaran might just be for me if I ever get into boats. Would be a fun thing to add onto my CZcams channel on top of the Rc cars and dirt bikes.

Actually, you did but may have missed it. When you first went over the 3 waves, it hit, capsized and righted itself in a blink of an eye.

I used to have the first Miss Geico,that was around 3 hundred,and it was fast to me.I know they are not fast as a speed boat,but i will stick with my RC Sailboats,nothing breaks,and i can run for over a hour .All i need is wind.Thanks for heads up on other RC fast boats.☮

@@gilflores789 You could try e bay or your local hobby store.There are two on e bay,on is the Joys Way Caribbean RTR,and the Eclipse 650 RTR. The Eclipse is a little bigger,and would be also great for a pond.Hope that helps.☮
most import thing to me with boats is checking temps of batt esc and motor after a hard 6 minute run... but it handles great,but who knows if it can handle more prop or higher c battery.thanks

I picked up the Alpha Rev version of this boat and it was great. It does perform better in salt water, probably because the salt causes it to sit higher in the water and has less resistance. It is a shame that Pro Boat is so expensive, I do feel they are a bit over priced.

I have a little boat just like made by i beleive udi rc its brushless and i run a all 2s battery in my buddy has bigger not sute the brand he yakes it it fills with water my 89 dollar boat rips and doesnt grt drop in it but i want to move up im looking for self righting vhull maybe 30 inches any suggestions that wont break my wallet
