Mine was a piece of crap, esc, motor, and servo all burnt up in a month, eventually the hull cracked. Would not recommend.

Good choices, we have the sonic wake, recoil 2 and the little recoil one disconnected. Veles 29 , impulse, blackjack 42 ,ul19 and the harbour tug. Proboat are great and usually run perfect. We have a lot of TFL boats and they're very good to. I just bought an old Aquacraft super v27, great old quality boat but I'm sure proboat bought Aquacraft years ago. Exelent choices you guys made , the cheap boats are great value for money.

@michaelvoorhees5978 I love them all but my favourite is the TFL Pursuit . They're all great fun but some proboats need the small dynamite 120 amp esc changed as they overheat especially the UL 19.

Love my UDI Arrows, got my Scanoe ( trailer sticker price dropped and non powered boats don't need any registration) although it still hasn't flipped, I take turns full throttle too! but just in case. Glad to see that one boat y'all included the flips and twists - that was a high light of watching that!

i think this is the must have features to a rc boat nowadays
While my favorite of the bunch is the Hydroplane, I totally get why its ranking is limited. The Hydro, regardless of size, is really only good on totally calm water like you had. A lot of those boats, like the Shreddy are outstanding performers on chop, or waves, or river torrents.
as an aussie this is good bc all this good advice comes out right before summer down here.

4 Proboats in your top 5 (even if it is 6 boats) but that just goes to show the quality of Proboat. I have 2 myself and there are 2 others that i want. Another i wanted before i realized it has been discontinued and that is the Proboat RiverJet.
Very true! Also, in all fairness, there doesn’t seem to be any other companies that pop to mind when I think quality boats. Eachine is okay, but if you look at banggoods website, they are like all gone…. No clue what is happening there. Traxxas boats are so old and dated.. so unless there is just a random awesome boat like the UDI RC one, it’s ProBoat! But good for them, because they really are awesome 👍😁😎⚓️

Proboats are solid machines. I've had others but went back to the Pro Boat models.

I have the Sonic Wake and I absolutely love it because of the self-righting I'm no longer stressed about it flipping over and not wanting to drive it the only problem I have with it is when I run it on a 6S battery the connectors get extremely hot

Wow! I used to have a 2000ish nitro methane miss Budweiser rc boat. What a difference self righting, looks much faster. But no 2 stroke sound. Old boat sounded great
the wl toys boat i almost want to get, paint the pontoons aluminum, take the top and create a pontoon platform design on it, have yourself a nice budget built pontoon boat for scale purposes

Not to be a spoiler! BUT... The Blackjack 42 is one of the best from Pro Boat! By far harder to run because it requires tuning! When tuned properly. The best. That said.... Not a first boat to buy!!!! Thanks for the videos and all your hard work!

Very good choices, concur on your number 1 boat. Good to see 👀 scruffy puppy 🐶 AKA Popeye 🐶. Wish we had some water 💧 here. Our lakes & reservoirs are drying or dried up. Since you guys have so much knowledge of the affordable RC boat market, you might be the best source to recommend recovery boats to people with high end boats that need a plan B like you said. The issue I've been told is that the fast surface prop boats like the recoil and arrow don't have the torque to move a big boat and they'll overheat from lack of waterflow in the cooling system. Do you have any suggestions for a boat that could push, say a 36" hull boat, back to the shore? Thanks for making all the great videos and guides for us!

I haven't yet transferred to the EV of watercraft yet. But I still have two V bottoms with the K&B outboards. One with 11 CC. And they both run great on smooth water. Blackjack 55s with two weed eater motors one is race ready. I'll take those two any day. One pushes 40 45 and the other one is closer to 58 mph. I still would side with the catamaran craft over bottom whether it's electric or nitro or gas. Just saying. And I do have the old wood School nitro Atlas Van lines hydro. But that needs to be smooth as glass to run it full throttle. Going in headline to win. It's going to rise out of the water. Self writing is great and all. But speed in any condition is where it's at. Just saying. Still love your content. Continue on and again congratulations on your next child..

What retrieval do you suggest? The Horizon Proboat tug seems to be #1 at the moment. The pro rc boat guys run the UL-19s. its popular amongst experienced racers so #5 is questionable. Great choices. Thanks for the fun videos!

Hi guys. I have a question that perhaps understand better than I do. You guys have tested a heng long Atlantic yacht before. It has a three channel receiver, and it has no reverse feature. Why do you think it's like that? I'm thinking maybe a budget thing or maybe the motors should not or doesn't turn in reverse direction. What do you think?

I'll start with i love your channel I've upgraded battery in WLTOYS 915 A n I must say its to slow great for kids or Beginners but I'd put it 10 on top 10 list I wouldn't even put it on top 5 list Sonicwake or shreddy should be before that

What do you think of the brushless Black Marlin from Rage RC?
When I play with rc boats I make sure it’s a windy day then I stand on shore that receives wind. If the boat stalls or flips the wind bring it back to me. I also try to not go out too far running the boat up and down shore line instead of mid water.

Forgive me if you already have covered this boat but have you ever considered buying one of the Thrasher boats they're pretty bad ass of course higher end on the price but if you never heard of them you definitely should check them out they're on their third version and it's pretty cool their whole idea or concept is a basher style boat which is not anything anyone else is doing

I'm sad because I have to drive really far to run my boats so I stopped doing them. I have a Blackjack 28 and Fiton 26 that both haul arse. Only been ran about 4 times if anyone is interested. Cleaned and maintained. I also have a home built recovery system using a bait boat to run it and PVc tubing to capture the boat. Can sell it all as a package if necessary. Lemee know if interested. I'm in Southern California.

UL19s are pretty much no longer available. One day they are discontinued a week later out of stock. The impulse 32 is not for a first time boater . The smallest wave and they will flip if you donjt know what you are doing. They do not turn back so you have to go get it.
