So like, 20 years ago, I was in a band with the brother of The Juliana Theory's drummer. We were hanging out in their family's kitchen before heading to a show in Pittsburgh (we lived in Latrobe, PA). Neil, the drummer for The Juliana Theory at the time, made fun of me and my friends for going to see The Gloria Record. Something like "You're going to see an emo show, haha." I remember saying something like "You're in the fucking Juliana Theory." and he got mad and left, but he left his Nokia cell phone on the kitchen table. I went through it and found Brett Detar's phone number. That evening I posted it on the Buddyhead forums and I never logged back into that account.
Years later, like 15 years later, I told a mutual friend about it. He literally dropped what he was carrying and said "That was you??? If he knew he would kill you. He hates you." because apparently this kicked off a bunch of phone calls and eventually led to the earpiece he wore on stage being stolen.
Anyway, the statute of limitations on that has long passed and I still think of that from time to time as one of the things that made the old internet so much better than new internet.

Slightly disconcerting that the drawing of Albini looks more like Heinrich Himmler...
