Omg 😳 The Legend is already my fav Moog plugin and now we add HZ to the equation!!! And you take it a step further and model his personal Moog?! Smh this is insane!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That's a bit of an exaggeration. Have you ever heard the Model 72 by Softube, sounds more like a Minimoog than this. Or how about the Roland SE - 02 module, that sounds sick and this is half the price of that hardware. This sounds good for its non Mini sounds. The Zimmer sounds. They're ok, but you can hear the digital sheen. I liked the Interstellar and Dark Master patches. Classic Zimmer sounds that are already on the Zebra HZ though. @@RJ1J I have seen Starsky Carr doing comparisons between the Legend and Softubes Model 72 and they are more or less the same. And he is the detailed oriented guy using the oscilloscopes and all and that really dives deep into all the components. What some comparisons can fail upon is if using the early or late revision that is modelled in the Legend. They will make the Legend differ from Model 72 if the "wrong one" is chosen Both are equally good with the added benefit of the modular system for the Model 72 BUT with the added bonus of more extra tweaking "Under the hood" and effects for the Legend. And, of course, polyphony and unison. So for me it is a no brainer to choose the Legend. That is, if you are not really into the modular "free" extras you get from Softube. (Which could be cool). What is interesting to note is that none of the Moog emulations, not even the hardware Behringer Model D, can do the saturation/overdrive nowhere near as good as in the original Moog Model D. They are not even close!
You should make a video about sound design on this. Bought this yesterday, but I have absolutely no idea what a “filter bank” is, and have no idea of the scope of this thing. Even without having a good idea of how to use this to it’s completely full capacity, my sounds with it are still the best I’ve ever made! Great synth!
"In signal processing, a filter bank (or filterbank) is an array of bandpass filters that separates the input signal into multiple components, each one carrying a sub-band of the original signal."
@@knuttheo1668 Think of it as a really powerful EQ where you can "Tune" and tweak each band very hard (and dynamically automated). That is, if you turn down all of the EQ bands you get no sound at all. Or, another extreme, if you turn down all the EQ:s except one band you will only hear that band. Then in turn all of this can be automated. That is, you can modulate all of these knobs in that filter bank just like you do with your normal lowpass filter with, for an example, an envelope generator or an LFO. You get the "normal synthesizer control" of specific combos of frequency ranges! Very cool!
@SynapseAudio - When you have two presets "stacked" like some of these demos, is that a keyboard-split/multi-patch simultaneous setting, or just two instances running on separate tracks of a DAW at the same time?
