    I've watched SO MANY videos because I've just started using a CPAP machine with this mask, and yours is the first video that helped me understand how it is supposed to fit. Thank you so much!!

    Have been using this mask for several weeks now and the only thing I would change/add is an air defusing screen like the P10. My husband would never complain of air blowing on him with the P10 but now with the N30i the complaints have started again. But it works for me...I'm sleep! 8-). It is a very comfortable mask for back, side, and stomach sleepers.

    To the person doing this CZcams demo-when separating the nose piece from the frame, if you want to do it easily & efficiently do not pull the pieces side-to-side as you did in your demo; instead (as shown in the ResMed brief instructional video), use a gentle "breaking" motion that's more like snapping a twig in two. I hope you'll pass that on to your customers/clients.

    Has anyone figured out a hack to make the new N30i less flexible? This new style is waking me up numerous times a night because is moves off my nose & leaks. Love the new defuser design but the nose piece instability negates the advantage.

  • @jobo2612
    @jobo2612 Před 2 lety +1

    I like the feel of this mask. However when I'm using it, my machine registers a leakage that is never below 30 l. I do not feel this leakage, I don't think it comes off at night, and I use a strap to keep my mouth closed. Have you noticed that the resmed measures the airflow into this mask and detects leakage that is not really there? I have a ResMed air curve 10 at 15 PSI.

    • @andrewpersaud4144
      @andrewpersaud4144 Před 2 lety

      HOLY MACKKKKINAAAWWWW Joe, if you feel fine for the day I'd ignore what the machine says. Realistically you'd be able to tell if you had a leak. When I have a leak my days are a write off.

    Great info. This mask looks especially good for someone who tosses & turns a lot! However, was wondering how comfortable it might be if you sleep on your side? Would it feel very bulky & uncomfortable on your cheeks compared to just headbands? Thanks

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  Před 5 lety

      To be honest we have mixed feedback on that particular thing. The tubes coming down the cheeks do have padding which helps. So I would say unfortunately you would have to experience it for yourself to know if it would bother you or not.

      Sherri Alexander . Thank you for telling me. Good to hear from someone actually using it. Glad you got on with it ok. I’ve had some over the years that are more comfortable than others & also are better with reducing ‘leaks’. This one appealed as I liked the idea of less face marks!
      I also noted your other comments about air blowing & husband complaints. My current Airfit one is bad for this! Was hoping this new style would have been better & reduced this problem. (Bad enough it ‘comes between us’ but the price we pay for a good nights sleep & improved life!!).

    I"m a side sleeper and like this mask very much. But, I can't find information on how often to change the cushion. Each one costs $26 to $31, depending on where you shop.

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  Před 5 lety +1

      The cushion is recommended to be changed once per month. However the longevity of the cushion/seal really depends on its performance for you. If it gets to the point where you are having to tighten it quite a bit to keep it sealed it is probably time to replace it.

  • @aponoypi

    I just started with CPAP and use a Wisp. So far so good. Is this super better than a Wisp. thanks

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  Před 5 lety

      It completely depends on your preference. The DreamWisp is certainly different, but whether that difference is 'better" would depend o your experience with it. The over-the-head tubing connection does allow for a freedom of movement that is nice. The cushion is pretty much the same.

    I've only had my Cpap machine for 2 months so I'm still a newbie. The P10 mask sort of discourages sleeping on the side. Just got the N30i a few days ago and the wife prefers the "unicorn" look to that of the "elephant". The N30i is more comfortable for sleeping on the side with the hose not a constant issue. However, Resmed has not yet added the N30i to the database and the machine reports a poor mask seal. i will pay attention to keeping the mask pillows under my nose tonight. Also a possibility I need the small frame instead of the medium. Still getting used to the sound of my breathing. Shortening the ramp up time helped me since the seal is better under higher pressure. Still in the love hate mode with the device. Harder to fall asleep but sleep quality is vastly improved with far fewer interruption incidents and deeper sleep. Now if i would only go to sleep at a proper time....

    • @thorn324
      @thorn324 Před 5 lety +2

      As far as choosing the CPAP/APAP's setting for checking the seal, the N30i manual says to select "pillows" instead of "nasal" for this. I spent two nights before reading this in the manual. Oops. Today I chose "pillows" and got good results. I hope this helps you.

    • @davesax11
      @davesax11 Před 5 lety

      Continuing a few days later: Using the medium pillow with the N30 the seal was improved. We took a picture and realized the frame sits too close to the ears and the top is a bit toward the rear of the head.. Per my supplier & Resmed there is no smaller frame size at this time. All that is necessary to better adjust the fit is to enable the local supplier to switch (or shorten) the fabric sleeves at the bottom of the mask. I wear a 6 7/8 hat. Small but many women have smaller heads than mine. Support will review.

    I tried this mask because a full mask didn't work for me. However, while using n30i, I feel the air pressure in my mouth, and my mouth opens automatically and then the airflow through the nose is blocked. I was told that the mouth should be kept closed while using this mask, however, the mask itself causes the mouth to be open. In addition, it is too hard to breathe out through the nose while wearing it. Physically it is more comfortable than the full mask but how can I benefit from the mask most?
