- Not every galaxy is a fully formed spiral or elliptical galaxy. Some are much smaller, and orbit larger galaxies as well as each other, like ghosts. Today, we will examine these ghost galaxies- the satellites of the Milky Way and Andromeda.

Imagine looking up at the night sky and seeing an entire galaxy with the naked eye. Unbelievable.
You haven't ever travelled south of the equator?
We by consensus made the correct decision to kill curiosity. Think only of the asteroid of peace
*andromeda Galaxy collide with another galaxy *
*Milky way * Imma ‘bout to end this whole mans career
Right? It feels great that people notice, i feel blessed every time i watch the night sky!
In dark skies, you can look up with the naked eye and see andromeda, an entire galaxy.
Not that 375K isn't a strong following, but this is one of those channels where it seems underappreciated.
Every video from SEA is good. The quality is consistent, each topic or explanation is well done and without dumbing down a thing.
I actually felt smart a few times.
2 years late but I know, one of the best channels I’ve ever found
600k now :)
almost 650k.... hopefully it will hit 1M someday!@@iconbearer
I really love your space content. You have a really good voice for this type of content. I love how much effort you put into research and editing the videos. Keep up the amazing work SEA(1997).

@@Wtfukker for real
@CRIMSON Slayer i see what i did there
Yeah and even the bg music seems to flow along soothingly with the voice. These videos really are things of beauty.
Cool Worlds is some British astrophysist who somehow seems to get into a similar dimension.
I want to second this. I don't exaggerate what I say I think SEA's video on pulsars is my all-time favorite video. I have it saved and watch it at least twice a week. But I've devoured all his space content I'm always eagerly awaiting more.
The information is enthralling, as I'm an astronomy buff, but SEA is a genius when it comes to editing and creating atmosphere.
Why listen to mediation music when you’ve got content like this. So relaxing, it puts me to sleep every time.
Gagis Khan ikr
His voice is amazing
fall asleep AND feel smart doing it
I would love a compilation video of space talk to fall asleep to! I usually use "rain on a tent" or Alan Watts videos.
Doing it right now, hope the auto play will give him some Revenue
I get chills every time I watch one of your vids. Thank you for giving knowledge of the very essence surrounding us
Perhaps a sweater sir!
SEA is the place to be. Your content is so good. I am happy that u were here this whole time!!
SEA is the place to be, four stars out of fiiiive
Me too
No doubt! Great stuff!
My new favorite channel!
“But with our current technology, you would think that the age for discovering massive galaxies right next door to us is past.”
Ghost Galaxy: allow myself to introduce..., myself.
"Welcome to the satelite galaxy
the view is worth dying for"
This gives me the picture of us a utotopian space veering species in the future
You have reignited my love and passion for astronomy… There’s just nothing quite as fascinating, mysterious, and even outright terrifying as our cosmos…
Thanks for the content!
OMG !! A VIDEO FROM SEA !! I NEED THIS !! I don't know how to tell you how wonderful this is , to learn all this about the universe !! I'm almost "70" now and didn't learn any of this in the schools of the "50s and 60s " and this was just not available for me to be exposed to !! I love this channel , Thanks !
That's awesome that you've taken an interest in our greater universal surroundings. If there is anything that can keep us humble while also showing how special we are the way the universe does, I haven't found it. Have a great day!
I envy what people will know about the universe in the far future.

The first time I saw the Magellanic clouds was a crystal clear night in Queenstown, NZ. As a dweller of the northern hemisphere I was awestruck.
I remember training on Pohakuloa Training Area on the Big Island of Hawaii. We would sit, after firing was done for the night and look up at the night sky with our night vision equipment. I was lucky enough to have a 2x power night vision scope for my rifle. I would take it off of the rifle and we would pass it around, looking at all of the planets, stars, galaxies, satellites and nebula that we could spot. It was really amazing. Even on the dark nights, where we could see 100's of stars and gas clouds with the naked eye, the night vision lit up the sky with thousands of more objects were didn't even know were there. Over 6,000 feet up, with no light pollution, it was truly an awesome sight. Like distant islands or lands on a ship just passing by, we just would talk about how fun it would be to be able to see what was out there.
Never clicked so fast, love your videos!
Truly an amazing video!
❤️
I’m floored I’m just finding this channel, this is some incredibly quality content. Goddamn dude.
Need a hand getting up?
Ur video motivated me to start a youtube channel about space. Thank you🌎🌌
Love your vids stargaze
I swear this guy's voice is like David Attenborough's XD

It’s crazy how the gravity of a galaxy can reach out hundreds of thousands of light years.
Why isn't this channel famous already? I've been craving for something like this about space and science and sea was great beyond my expectations. I'm glad I found this channel
Summoning salt: “You Need to Hit the Horizontal Wall”
Sea: “Half a Century of Stars”
Probably my favorite channel at the moment. Thank you!
Pls, never, ever stop uploading. Your videos are amazing and top notch, definetely makes the cofinement so much better
After watching a view videos on a topic, I love ending that binge with one of your videos. You do a good job of taking a subject and playing with the "what ifs" in a story telling way.
Your channel has come so far, I'm so damn happy for you! Keep up the work
Thanks for grinding out videos this month!
This guys voice is soothing. I listen before sleep. Drift off to thoughts of deep space. Good videos.
I appreciate the work you put into these. Thank you. Another great video.
You have a great ability to make complex information easier to understand. I tried to watch PBS astronomy series videos but i just end up getting lost
Propably one of the very best sites i've ever discovered. As a night truck driver, appriciate stuff that are so fascinating and scary that will keep you conscious whole night.
been waiting for a good satellite galaxies video for a long time. thanks for this

I watch a lot of science videos on you tube and I just got to commend you on the quality of your content. The information you put out in the videos is superb. The topics you cover are super interesting. Some of them are topics you just dont see anywhere else which is fantastic. Plus you have a wonderful voice which very pleasing to the ear. Anyway, thanks for the content man!

Love the channel mate keep up the hard work.
I’m so glad you’re doing what you want to be doing on CZcams, SEA! :)
Wonderful! I love vids about galaxies, even though they always make me feel so smallllll. Thanks for uploading.
you aren't alone in feeling small even stars and some dwarf galaxies can feel small even though they are massive in size.
I'm imagining a civilization living in one of the milky ways satellites . How cool would it be to see our galaxy from the far .
Your content isn't that regular! BUT I'm happy with that. Because you put in the time and effort to research. And publish quality videos. Keep it up pal! Amazing work as always
I've been loving your content recently
Man I love this series. Keep it up my good man!
Love the new 4K uploads mate, looking forward to new content this year !

Thanks for your great video! I was not familiar with ghost galaxies, so you picked a subject that other space channels have not covered yet. 👍
You never fail to peak my interest! Keep up the amazing work :)
Hi Sea, if you’re ok with people requesting videos to you I would recommend you to do a video on the disappearance of Brian Shaffer. It’s a 14 year old case where a man is seen on a security camera walking into a bar and never leaving and being seen again. It’s really strange and I think you would be interested in it.
he is living under the floorboards or in a false ceiling
Those videos always calm my mind. Thank you. :)
Love this channel !
Just starting watching your stuff and man I love this already

I'm only 12, but I know alot about space (that's what I like to think), but you've helped me learn even more about space, while keeping the video really entertaining. I've been watching your videos since I was 9. And to this day I have never been bored of your content. Keep it up.

Thank you, I genuinely feel better now:)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS A F**KING SEA VIDEO LET‘S GOOOOOO
Perhaps its a Trivial question, but none were described as having a Super Massive Blackhole, as ours does. I believe we know Andromeda has a SMBH, but what of these satellite galaxies? Is that a distinguishing characteristic, or is it because we simply do not know? I would think since there is less gas and dust it would be easier to see into their cores. There was a subtle hint at the interactions, that the SMBH might be the heart of a galaxy and it might be the first "taken" or ripped from its dying corpse before becoming a Ghost. I'd really like to know.
John Willis
Dwarf galaxies are predicted to contain Intermediate BH’s. They are difficult to observe because they are not large enough to disperse enough stars and make their effects visible through the dense clusters which they are contained in.
All globular clusters are remnants of dwarf galaxies which have had most of their mass absorbed by the parent galaxy during minor merger.
Great content.
I wish these went longer this fella has a good voice to fall asleep too
Cant fathom why someone would dislike this. This channel is great
Watching ur videos has become my bedtime routine
I just discovered this channel and after watching 1 video I immidietly clicker subscribe which I rarely do. Amazing videos with really high quality and the narrators voice is beautiful and calming. This might just become one of my favorite channels along side with Vsauce and Toughty2.
