Curwhibble absolutely the actors are not on sync if you know what I mean and they change the story a bit the half of the story should be black people and racism. But in the musical they made it all about Tracy and couplesss etccc and Inez didn’t won

Penny was a surprise power-house singer, as made apparent in this song, and I was expecting Ariana to nail it! the lack of chemistry, acting, and emotion in the video is so bewildering. like no one has any chemistry and the acting is so stale. but the singing is so uneventful. none of them sing with their emotions and prioritized a “pop” sound than an actual emotion. this is so hard to watch . . .

there’s some good bootlegs of the obc cast on broadway and many other casts who have way better chemistry. I love this musical and this is my favorite song but was very disappointed watching this.. go check out the others bc they are much better.

@@erianwilliams9059 much better is a stretch. i usually never prefer movie musicals, but i saw the hairspray tour last week, and while it was PHENOMENAL, there are certain changes in the movie that i think are much better than the musical. especially inez winning miss teenage hairspray. and i don’t like that amber and mrs. von tussel get redeemed at the end of the live show. they don’t deserve it lmfao.

Am I the only one who's used to the Movie tunes so when the keys are changed on the musical, it sounds off? Please let it not be just me 🥺
Do you have perfect pitch? I suspect that most viewers will not notice the difference. Also, films intended for the cinema are recorded at 24fps, but most televisions broadcast at 25fps, thus rendering the music sharp. You would need a keen ear to notice this.
@@brianaustin5467 does fps actually affect the audio? Fps only has to do with the video itself, no? I don't have perfect pitch myself, but I went back and listened and can confirm they took up the key for Penny and Seaweed's part. It's bit harder to notice with all the spoken lines in between.
@@keiko4043 Yes, it has to. The sound track is synced with the video. There are some high end TVs which can compensate digitally but a keen ear could possibly detect the digital atifacts, it's like a sort of watered down autotune.
I think they said some songs were intentionally lowered in key to accommodate the live dancing in the musical. With that, it's just off to me. 🥺

The thing is I didn’t hate this live. There were some good moments in this show. Mostly of the singing I enjoyed. Overall I think this was the second best live. Grease live was definitely the best I think. I enjoyed Ariana, Dove, of Course Kristen, and the Seaweed
Wish Ariana stayed with Broadway. I think her acting really could have been something if she wasn't so out of practice.

Maëlle I think Broadway was really where she had to hone her technique, because singing shows 5 to 6 days a week, not even including rehearsals, can take a huge toll on anyone’s voice so Broadway was where she really had to hone her skills and learn proper technique. However I still appreciate her pop and rnb vocals. To me I feel like her voice sounds best singing rnb.

This was the first musical that I saw performed live, and I loved it. The girl with the glasses is mighty cute. Can sing too.
For the record, Garrett does give off Zac Efron and Matthew Morrison vibes while also giving off his own take on the character.
