i have a question! i got the job as a dietary aide and i have orientation! what should i wear? dress code is all black scrubs but they said i have two weeks to get them so what should i wear?

I would definitely wear black scrub pants you can get some cheap ones at Walmart or Amazon. For me personally they told me to wear black pants so I just wore black jeans or black leggings but it just depends on the company

Oh I was 16 or 17 years old i believe But I'm sure for certain companies you can start at 16

Do dietary aide worker washes dishes?

Yes they wash dishes and prepare and cook meals depending on what position in the kitchen you would be but yes everyone washes dishes regardless if you're a cook or a server or a prepper.

Do they drug test and do background checks on the spot?

No job ever does background checks on the spot. It’s a process. So even if they did , they would tell you it’ll take a few days.

They make you get them done, yes. I know for my specific job they were very strict about getting those things done.

Is it hard to be a dietary aid?

Not at all! But it also depends on the company and the people you work with. For me, the hardest part was remembering all the names of the people I served and where they sat. I also worked in a private home care facility So it might be different in a Hospital setting
