The Chestnut I ride used to wear Hunter Green but my sis has that color as her horseâs theme, and I prefer (âŠehhhh -love-) blue so he gets navy blue and he looks pretty awesome but the hunter green is also neat.
Yes, but a tiny bit more Emerald mixed into the Hunter Green. Some HGs can be too dull & dark. That's my favorite color choice & it looks great with a lighter bay, too.

Matt!!!!!! The Veredus hind boots in size L are not allowed when competing because of the band that is bigger than the authorised maximum. At least thatâs what i heard, the M fits properly but make sure you double check. Hope you read this message x
I've NEVER heard of that. My 16.3 needed L in front and back Veredus Carbon Gel boots. And if a horse is 17-17.3 or 18, all heights which I've ridden or leased are L.

As I was watching at first I was a little shook by the pricing, but I really appreciated how you put it: you don't need to spend this. When I first started grooming I was told I wouldn't succeed without expensive shears. They definitely give you a big hand, making things easier and more ergonomic, but beginners even all the way up to experts really don't truly neeeeed luxury brands. I think it's cool that you mention this because it's really common for people to not even want to try when they see how much you spend, or they feel upset because they can't afford it now. Definitely interesting to watch and I enjoyed the video :)

If youâre looking for amazing quality saddle pads I recommend Equitex, theyâre my go to and are perfect for the horseâs back in some gorgeous colours
I have one Equitex saddle pad (and I love the shading -dark blue to light blue-) but I find that mine is too small for the saddle I use⊠the saddles I use are very expensive Olympic saddles but I love them because you can change the head plate in them to properly fit the horse and you get them fitted to the rider. The saddle pads that I use are LeMieux (something like that) saddle pads and while they are pricy I think they are worth it. I have a collection of different saddle pads though and yes, Equitex is mg second fav âșïž
I always have TOTALLY different things for showing and home. From every possible piece of horse clothing, grooming items, and saddlery, I have it ALLâŒïžâŒïžđłđłđł BTW, each horse has itâs own wardrobe. They have to. đI knowâŠCRAZY!
I try to justify the expense by saying that everything works for all of my horses. I am 5â10â with LONG legs and look best on horses that are18 hands. If you buy the very best you can afford, you will get terrific wear. Take care of everything and it will last longer.
I spent a fortune on my things but it was well worth it.Hermes saddles last forever! Remember, it is an investment in your riding career.

Gear/tack shopping, is at least 25% of the fun, in riding/owning a horse(s).đ€Ł This makes me miss all of the shopping so much!! Yet, it also makes me *VERY* thankful I saved EVERYTHING I had, after I retired and gave my beloved horse to very good friends many years ago. âStarting over againâ in buying everything, would be a financial crisis.đ€Ł Thankfully, I picked classic styles/colors, so nothing looks dated. I especially love and carefully curated my saddle pad collection.đ NEVER enough of those!!

The tipping on the Kentucky pads is common, I found out it's because when they get send through the mail they get put in in such a way that the one side overlaps the other side a bit on the top. after a wash and some uses it went away for me!
My horse had Crack hoof problems get a hoof great uses it every time you clean his feet. It helps and makes his hoof grow to.

All brown, especially with gold accents, looks AMAZING on chestnut horses. My yearling colt is my only chestnut right now and I can't wait for him to grow up so I can start putting him in brown & gold. With that said, the black really makes the gold pop. I can't blame you for wanting both!! To event, I think he'll be in green and brown with gold accents.

I think you should get equick boots because some of them have a blu gel inside that reduces the impact and other things I donât really know or the equick eShock front boots or eShock front Velcro

Matt, can you do a video outlining the different saddle requirements for each discipline?? I recently was introduced to show jumping myself and didn't think about the fact of having a half pad with inserts for my horse so that the saddle sits level on his back. I don't know if this requirement is the same across all english disciplines or not. Thanks!!! Keep up the great work!!

A marble water bowl keeps the water much cooler for longer. You know how dogs prefer toilet water? That's because it's always nice and cold! Get . marble water bowls, but not feed bowls. ^..^

We have very similar taste! đ I love the Veredus and Acavallo products. I have heard good things about Kentucky - it will be good to hear about your thoughts on the fit of their saddle cloth on your horse. It is amazing how many saddlecloths I see that don't fit the horses properly.

Its a matter of principle to spend the right amount for something. My game is to find the dream thing then look for it second hand. Some stuff that seem way overpriced are using best materieals and workmanship that cant be seen so easily. Thats ok. But often its advertising labelling and then made in china or something. Saddles and riding shoes are the most important. For the horses back and the riders balance and freedom and then riders feet. Cinches too. Actually its more healthy for the horses back to have a great fitting saddle than being ridden bareback so number one concern is saddle. So if you have one in mind that really does fit your horse really great then âŠ.spend your money! Or your mom and dadâs money for those commentors here
