I can understand an extended range hybrid with a diesel power pack charging the batteries. When you need to be super quiet or have a lower heat signature we go in electric mode, but when you need the range you just run the diesel power pack. Logistics are simple, just refill with diesel. 'Refilling' a full electric vehicle in the road or in a forward camp strikes me as extremely inefficient, either you are carrying around heavy expensive charged and depleted battery packs in your logistic train, or you wait many hours with the vehicle plugged into single phase diesel generator to recharge the battery.

I don't think this guy has the understanding of "forced recon". I also don't think he has the understanding of quiet recon. This is neither of mentioned. To be first it is way too small, too fragile, and can't carry any useful amount of ammo. To be second, it should be fitted with a .50 cal/40mm grenade launcher for self-defense in case of detection and that's it. Maybe something like the latest Carl Gustaw to address any high danger. Not more.
30mm will rock this vehicle so much that it will hit shit.
