I adore the ergonomics of the S1 personally but I don't have small hands. Hoping the V-Log update makes it a video monster. (or whatever the new release is going to be in a few days.)
Under the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrew's you would be disqualified for improperly advancing a ball in play by picking it up and dropping in back in the fairway and then redoing the entire shot from the teeing ground. I don't even want to think what the United States Golf Association would think of such behavior on a golf course--miniature or not. Let's hope the U.S. Customs and Immigration Service doesn't find this footage or your entry in the the United States might get extra scrutiny.

The only moment that is worthy in the video is at 15:50. A real master of mini golf. Certainly a gifted person.

Jenny Gavin-Wear Thanks! I guess actual human intelligence still beats any artificial intelligence (for now)! Those AF system are not bad by themselves, it’s the ability to decide what’s important to focus on in a frame!

Neither could the Z6. Don't see you commenting on that. That's because the video is mostly S1 video. Most pleasant image of the three BY FAR.
Why does the Pana have better lighting while it's recording video compared to the Z6, is it simply because of the settings?

@@tomariko Yes. The new 2.8 is sharper, focuses faster, focuses quietly so you can actually use it for video, the old lens you just couldn't, smaller, lighter, screen that shows depth of field on it, short cut key on the lens. It's just better in every way. Highly recommend it.

I got a eos m in december and yesterday i finnaly got a speed booster for it and now it feels like a real camera. The Af sucks though.
Kai just rocks wherever he decides to shoot - even when it's in his own kitchen, LOL!

the firmware 2.4, last one for gh5 was supposed to fix camera's AF tendency to back focus. It didn't work. Let's see if they can fix it on the S1. I doubt it.

The new Firmware update for tha a7 II is amazing, finally a timelapse option, but even better it now has allways eye af. No need to push a button or do anything just point the camera at a face annd boom it focuses on the eyes.
Is the location near Manchester? Been seeing something similar there but never went in to check it out.
Did u add vignetting to the Z6 video or is it straight out of camera? It has a typical british 90’s movie look to it. The S1 looks nice and fresh.

What are you using the things trigger?
I guess the update hasn't got to all around the world but with my Sony a7iii there is a timelapse mode now with firmware update 3.0. I was even able to assign it to a custom button.

Exactly AF on the Panasonic S1 is non existent. The part were they reset the Sony reminded me why went back to Canon.

'Phase or Face Detection'...tricky! So which one wins? It always seems that these cameras have strengths and weaknesses; one is better than the others at some things; AF, IBIS, design, menus etc so I find it frustrating to choose.

Is the Z7 worth picking up or would you suggest something else?
The Z7 is awesome sharp. And Nikon has just released firmware 2.0 for it with Eye AF and much better low light AF performance. The hardware on the Z cameras is complete. And Nikon has promised more firmware updates in the future to add new features and capabilities to both the Z6 and Z7. They have already announced what will be in the next firmware update.

Nikons manual focus overide is better you dont have to flip a switch just turn the focus ring on the lens and it automatically switches theats one less step and crucial when have to get tour subject back in focus quickly
