🔸 About The Game...
Airport CEO is a tycoon and management game in development for PC and Mac where you take the seat as a CEO of your own airport. You will build the airport’s infrastructure with everything from runways and taxiways, gates and aprons to constructing terminals with check-in, security, restaurants and shops. You will manage the business perspective of the airport by hiring employees and executives, making deals with airline companies and making sure that ends meet by keeping an eye on budget and resources.
You will have to cater to the passengers by keeping waiting time to a minimum, by having friendly and helpful staff around and by making passengers feel secure, keeping any potential incidents at bay; a happy passenger is a spending passenger. Hopefully you won’t run into any problems such as stressed out employee, equipment breakdowns or bad weather which can cause massive delays or even emergency landings. You will be held accountable when things go wrong and filthy rich when things go right.
Running an airport
Your objective is to build and manage your airport to perfection by making strategic decisions, designing the optimal airport layout and ultimately making sure that your passengers and airlines are satisfied. You will need to build the entire airport from scratch including terminal foundations with floors, walls, doors and items as well as the airport infrastructure including runways, taxiways, aprons and other airport infrastructure. Everything in Airport CEO is deeply simulated and it is your job to make sure it all runs smoothly and with a positive bank account.
Airlines
Airlines and their travelers are an essential element of Airport CEO as they consist of the main source of your airport’s income. Signing contracts with airlines bring cash-flow and passengers to your airport which in term means opportunities for receiving different service fees, as well as passenger expenditures. Airlines come in different sizes and have different requirements on your airport and the services you offer, you are responsible for not only planning the flight schedule but also for meeting and maintaining the needs. Occasionally you will need to handle emergencies and delays due to bad weather or accidents in the area, all which will put your management skills to the test. - Hry
Okay I should have probably turned auto-planner on, but to be fair... it WASN'T auto-planning large flights for me between episodes! It's tempermental!
hehehehe, human error is comedic
Lol but at least you know. It was a great episode though ☺️
Ye I love the episodes, keep it up. :)
I was just waiting on you to realize that the auto planner wasn’t on, but that never happened😭🤣
The only place I've seen self boarding gates has been at Japanese Domestic terminals. Which are still staffed in case someone has any problems.
To be fair, the current layout is similar to the functionality of Gatwick airport, having that huge, completely unnecessary bridge
Let's be honest, we all love that bridge really!
@@ConflictNerd yes, until you have 5 minutes to get to your flight and you still have to cross it
@@techno05 thats were you learn how to run like husane bolt and just go FUCK IT!
@@lechking941 I've never ben to Gatwick, but I have a sudden urge to run across this bridge...
if you hold shift and click on multiple boarding desks you can all assign them to the same stand at the same time
"What the hell is that?!" 11:40
A sneaky Tu-144, that's what, lol
If I saw a Tu-144 as an active passenger plane at any airport I would immediately try and break the hallucination, and on failing that, try and figure out where and when I slipped into an alternate reality where that thing actually worked.
In the flight planner you can disable auto-planner for specific stands if you want to manually schedule the large flights while auto-planning smaller flights. it's in the stand settings popup via the gear icon next to the stand name.
Love this game, and love the way you are playing. It's like what my friend and I are doing. We just kind of followed the tutorial, which lead us to make things that are entirely unhelpful as soon as you go to do the next thing. But it kind of makes it feel more realistic, as so many airports start small, and then sprawl.
Thanks again for another great video! (I'm only 90 seconds in, but I'm sure it'll be a good one!)
idk about orlando air port though, because it seams to be not so from what i have been in. but i never seen past security so
19:00 when you're connecting manually when it's already connected..... 😂
TIPs for ConflictNerd: I'm only on episode 12 and not sure you have been told this but you can turn down the opacity for the zones (security, staff, etc) in the top right menu button.... Just FYI... also I think other have mentioned it you can SHIFT + click multiple similar stands, check in desks, boarding desks, baggage claims, bathrooms etc... and connect them, make the same changes etc... Also you can use the copy and paste tool above the planning tools to copy and paste things that will look exactly the same like a boarding layout with the same check in desk and seating etc... Hope that helps to save some time!
Hey man!
You have, BY FAR, the best AirportCEO Let's Play on CZcams! I love it!
Greetings from
Berlin ♥️
"this is one we made earlier."
ME: nostalgia vibes in true blue peter fashion
Thank you CN
As soon as you quote the BBC you have a place in my heart as a fellow brit
if you are a brit
the turbulence caused by the giant planes jetblast is concerning because it could make the small aircraft veer off the runway and crash into the terminal
Edit: And your Airport wont be certified by FAA
1 more comment... you should box off your boarding gates where the hedges are. The jetways are 4 squares wide but you can fill the middle 2. This will stop your passengers exiting through your boarding gates
I love this Airport CEO series!
Another great video, loving the Airport CEO Series! Please keep doing this and work towards the massive airport, I want to see how you'll lay it out.
You could design your terminal off of a real airport, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is a VERY simple layout, Terminal A is all the large planes, its a giant rectangle, Terminal B comes off of it like a T. and theres an underground tunnel. connecting them
So the old terminal is North Terminal?
A true international terminal. It’s crazy and so motivating to see this all come together.
1 year
I love these videos so much! I'm so attatched! :D
Tbh I was asking myself when is the day that I'll see jetways again
I love this series!
Can you stagger the large plane times a bit more to help with the passport processing and keep a constant slower pace of passengers, instead of them all being dumped off quickly
Need more of these videos :)
You should add the elevator you put to the underground walkway since it’s already there why not
what if you put one of those fast walkie thingies in that long stretch of terminals for the large aircraft’s to make things at little more streamline?
Have they fix the problem with fps dropping when you hit a certain size airport.
I came here for the second episode of airport CEO, but...
that was some good wisdom
You should create lounges as only large flight passengers only go to the lounge
Last episode was great! Thank you for this next episode! 🥳🥳😃
The second from the bottom medium stand is broken. the plane has been there for the past couple of episodes
Man I have 2 sleep so I'll watch tomorrow
3rd viewer though
the very end lol
Can you only have 3 floors (basement/underground, ground floor, 2nd floor) or can you add more?
2 basements, ground floor, 2 uppers. I know it's late but hope that helps.
You can do another terminal for the large planes
Thinking of the cooking channel...
ConflictCooking or CookingNerd?
Sorry, one of those days. And I'm not very creative or funny.
You like airports dude. You do you. Think most of us are cool with that, different strokes for different folks. Also I love your Lynden story (don't know how to spell his name).
I live for these videos
Wow i thought that the next video would be released later lol
Ok, who sees part 16 of a series, from a channel they have never seen before, and goes "ah yea I'll take a look at that"
Like, if you do that your missing all the context! You would have no idea why the airport is structured how it is, everything else. I
I build my own airport using your video as tutorial.
You could make 1st floor departures and ground floor arrivals…
if got to 32:14 look at top right auto planner not ticked
I get it. Not focusing or worrying about the stuff you cant influence anyways. What happens happens.
You can make blueprint and use them to just copy paste
Hi the not concorde plane is the tupolev tu 144 the first supersonic jet about 6 months before the concorde but it only has done 11 flight since it has a bad record and reputation thats all love these videos
Ah nice, my command came over to you :)
Remove staircases from Large Stands. Vid is good btw nice progress.
not to be rude and you did a great job but you are supposed to build a check-in area and a security and departures all for the international flights
This airport is what you call an sort of organized mess i guess
Wow u can talk hahahahah 😂😂
Your going to kick yourself on this comment....
You can hold SHIFT and click multiple stands/desks and assign all at once instead of Individually doing it........
Wrote this before finishing the episode....
Still a usefull function for check in desks connecting to baggage bays.
beat me to it
Why don’t you put larger aircraft the other side of the current large aircraft stands when’s new episode 😁
Autoplanner is turned off silly
Dylan
Dylan
Man, no judgement. No judgement at all.
But that voice lmao
"i'M nOt LiKe OtHeR yOuTuBeRs"
yay
What the.
YT shows a translate option to English. When I translate, yay chances to bow lol
@@Avgeek_germain it’s a great new feature but in some aspects it’s a little buggy but for CZcams and Google’s first attempt it’s pretty good and they’ll probably iron out all the kinks later and for all we know “yay” could be the word for a “bow” in another language
@@two-face1041 yea lol, I noticed 🙃
First holy crap. And even the first like!
Auto flight planner works great when you actually have it turned on. Just sayin'
It was on and is on
@@two-face1041 not at the end 33:48
Because im not like other commentors
