    That looks nice Lars. What I do that works very well is to put the boot on and pull the laces in the foot portion to the tightness/looseness I need for the season, then tie a square knot between the desired pair of eyelets. I then go ahead and lace the ankle portion. This prevents the foot or toe box from ever getting too tight and cutting off circulation.
    I find that if I don't do this, after a little while, the foot always ends up getting too tight, and then I have to go through and loosen the whole lace down to the toe, only to have it tighten again in short time. Rinse, repeat.
    Thanks for all you share!

      Aye!,we are all sick of CZcams messing the video makers about.Every channel I'm subscribed is having problems!.Maybe we should be putting pressure on the advertisers,they obviously pay a lot of money to put ads in front of the videos.If the video makers get sick of CZcams and stop making films the advertisers will lose money.

      Already subscribing to a channel means very little, you would think that if you were subscribed to a channel you would get notified of new videos... no you have to click the bell to get "occasional" notifications. I can foresee eventually that we will not even be able to to comment on videos.

  • @thomasmusso1147
    @thomasmusso1147 Před 6 lety +3

    Hi Lars .. yep it must be frustrating regarding the 'comment notification issue'. No fuss from this side, stuff like this happens .. sometimes an impenetrable wall of bureaucracy / whatever. Hopefully if enough users raise the issue, administration will take note.
    Regarding boot lacing .. thanks for that. I have always had a problem regarding too tight lacing of boots and shoes .. or even not so tight. As far back as the late 60's in the Military, I learned to have a very loose boot and (running) shoe lacing. Will give your method a try 👍. Please keep the posts coming .. pure Gold.

    I hope not too many people whine to you about not replying to comments. Especially when CZcams's BS makes it extra-hard. I never understood people that jump to it somehow being arrogant when a content creator doesn't reply to their comment. When most of the time it's just being human, not necessarily noticing a comment or forgetting to reply after being sidetracked. Or, lately of course, not even knowing one has something to reply to(Thanks CZcams/Google)!
    Currently I use laceless winter boots that I have had for a long time. I have thick feet, from the sole to the top of my foot, and so a lot of laced boots can get pretty painful after extended walking. I think this tip might help with letting the top of my feet be more comfortable, cheers Lars!

    Great video idea! It's easy to forget that something as simple as having your boots laced at a typical tightness can cause your feet to get cold. I had this occur to me about a month ago......my feet were getting quite cold as the temperature dropped, so I took off my boots, warmed the bottom of my socks and feet in front of it the fire, put my boots back on and laced them much more loosely, and the problem was solved!

    Great boot hack...here's another lacing hack to help apply different tension along the course of the laces. I will add three overhand wraps to my laces above the portion I want to keep lightly tightened. This allows you to keep the lower portion of the boot loose and then add tension to the ankle area for support without affecting the lower section. Depending on the height of the boot you can add one, two or even three tension segments. Loose over the forefoot, tight at the ankle, light pressure on the shin area etc. Waxed hockey skate laces can do a similar thing. Stay awesome.
